Maybe they thought he didn't need new gloves because he's known as a elbow fighter or Theoun himself didn't want to get blood on his new gloves, knowing he's just going to elbow any way, so he just used his old gloves, lol. I just found it funny and interesting for a organization like Max, to have one of their more popular fighters fighting in what looks to be worn gloves.
