Just found your channel. Actually I found your in the instagram , Thank you for your tutorial. I have to make this for my niece daugther for coming up birthday party.
I am fascinated by these beautiful fairy dolls and can't wait to get started... however I cannot find any flowers like yours, I live in England and have spent and wasted a lot of money buying on line, but they come with the petals glued together, it's impossible to separate them, also they are not as large or pretty as yours, I can't find floral wire 13 inches long either, I feel quite embarrassed to say that I can't find these materials in my Country lol, it's so frustrating! I love your Channel and the easy way you explain how to make them, thank you for sharing your talents, much appreciated x
Hi Trish! Great question. I would say the tension is fairly tight. The key is to keep the same tension throughout wrapping the doll so the thread is even. Hope that helps! xo
Does the flower wire come in large spools? I would rather use a longer piece and make her legs wider than her arms, so that it would look a bit more natural ♥
Hi! I haven't seen cloth covered floral wire that comes in a large spool. I don't see why using normal floral wire from the spool wouldn't work. Let me know if you try it, I would love to hear how it works out! Happy fairy making! xo
Emilie I can't find the white wire but I can find green is that ok to use? Michael's is the only craft store in my town, I live in Ontario Canada and I don't want to buy from Amazon
I use cloth covered floral wire. Here are some links. I prefer the 20 gauge, it gives you a sturdier doll. Hope this helps! Amazon 20 gauge - goo.gl/4Vmx2P 22 gauge - goo.gl/YkevYW Hobby Lobby goo.gl/1zTEms goo.gl/iwnAoX

You go, girl! The only tutorial that I will follow is yours. I ventured out and made mermaids and sat them on shells.
I loved it- so detailed and clear! Thank you so much.

Hi Emilie. How much tension do you hold on the thread while you’re wrapping the body of the fairy?

Hi, sorry I know this is an older video, but wanted to know, what if we don't want to make gloves, is there any way to completely cover the hand wire?

Green will work just fine. You’ll just want to make sure none of the green is showing at the top under her hair. 💕
If I want to put a face on the doll, how could I do that?
Hard to see details on black background. Tfs💗
Can you tell me the brand of wire you use??
