I find so many cool Germans commenting, regarding the Berlin factory. It’s abundantly obvious that Germany was the right choice. It’s wonderful how this quest unites so many around the world. I see this as a unintentional, yet equal success that deserves every acknowledgement.

Probably shouldn’t hold my breath on this but it would be really nice if the Model S upgraded their interior aesthetic to match the luxury price tag a little more
It will be new wheels as usual and maybe a new grill. Styling is getting dated. Nothing will happen to the interior as usual.
Agreed. I think the car still is worth it considering all the price drops and how fast/fun/comforatable it is but it would be nice to bring all that up to the bar the rest of the car sets.

@@RyanShawtech ..I have absolutely no complaints with in and exterior.. Model S seems to be an iconic car... Look at Porsche Design.. It's almost the same in decades
I prefer S over 3 for the driver centered display. If they eliminate that in the new version, then I won't be interested any more.

Hey I just priced out model 3 model Y and there is not a lot of difference in price after fsd and taxes. This seems like model 3 might still have room to be price reduced at least 5k? Thoughts?

The Berlin water issue may have been due to renegotiating the water pricing.
will tesla return the software features that they took away from the 2015 cars? my 2015 had the nav system robbed of showing nearby cars in visual blindspots on the screen. taking out features from recently bought 1st owner cars... very annoying.
How long does it take to charge up? I don’t want to spend 3 hours or more to change up . My gas car fill up app. 3 minutes.

I found an article from 2018 that stated Tesla was going to open a service center in Knoxville. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hope they don't work with bose! Some of the best audio in cars under 100k from the factory is Volvo using B&W.
The Y sounds good just like the 3 but certainly not as good as the top option audio in Volvo like in the XC60 Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound.
Many other cars and SUV's have really good audio but over 100k

Thanks! I don't believe it could be put into current cars. It would need some intense hardware installation, and I doubt they would offer a retrofit

Australian here still no model Y available in our country. Hopefully we will have some new information soon, Need a new family car in 2021.
If you test drive it you will be blown away. Yes some QC issues...my test drive vehicle Folsom, California) had misaligned rear panels, trunk/hatch and taillights. Overall you no longer deny ICE are history and the power these things have is intoxicating.
@@ApriliaRacer14 Hardest part is to convince the wife.😂 We always keep our cars for 6+ years, cost to maintain a BMW or Audi in Australia is high so long term it would be beneficial concidering we will charge from solar most of the time.
Considering that the Model 3 in Australia is $100K and last I checked they had the same 3 cars (2 of which were demos meaning legally used cars) for months I would not hold your breath. Most likely they will not even start production for Australia until there are at least several pre-orders then you will have to wait a months for delivery.
By literally any other EV is you need a new car. Hyundai and Toyota have EV's you can buy right now and they are desperate for sales, have lots of dealerships and service centers to choose from and have a good record for customer support. They may not have the same Sydney street cred as a Tesla but how much hipster envy does your family need?
@@SurmaSampo I wouldn't consider a petrol electric car,( like a Toyota) as you still have to perform regular service and don't gain a lot on the efficiency side. We are shopping around the 100k budget anyway and don't require any finance for purchase. Most cars around that price bracket devalue between 6 to 10K per year. From what I am seeing electric cars are holding their value slightly better.

The Model Y stereo sound is better than ML system in Lexus RX. I think it has to be a high quality amp driving the speakers more than just custom DSP package.

Tesla needs to show the map and cameras at the same time on their horizontal screens (y and 3). That’s how I drive with my X and S. BTW. I hope they don’t change to horizontal mode on the X and S. I prefer that.
I hope they don't skimp on quality to rush out simply for stats. I'm in the 80% who can't afford one and if I was younger I would own the stock but I believe in his vision.
I think the Soundsystem in a Premium Tesla is awesome, but with Bose they become the best in the world.

I know the roadster is coming, but I'd really like to see a Tesla 2-door coupe, priced in the same range as the Model 3. Think of it as an Electric "Pony Car".

Elon was just in Germany recent. As a shareholder, this missed payment is inexcusable. They need to have someone in accounting over there in Berlin assuring payments are made to contractors and utilities.

Just BTW, this morning it was reported in an online Berlin newspaper that Tesla has been allowed to continue cutting trees again, to a certain extent with exception of a small stripe along the highway and the periphery of the area in question where - this is just my theory - the protected animals are assumed to be. Whether Tesla paid the deposit or not I don't know.

cyber truck is like low poly 3d model.. maybe if you use decimate modifier on 3d model you get this car with few verticies.. you can model it on the old Pentium 2 probably ..

@@alh06 simply not true with B&O... a Sonos speaker is equal to a comparative B&O model. The difference is going to be materials (like youre paying for exotic wood or metals like silver) not sound quality.
@@WitnessedOne Most speakers are inlaid in interior bits and bobs from the vehicle manafacturer, none of the fancy materials are accounted for, and although profit margins are insane, it's the least radical thing about car prices.

Really wish you address cost of parts and labour and repair costs. Also Tesla has serious problems with " AUTOPILOT " and breaks randomly breaking and battery loosing power in cold weather

They can design the new versions of the models S and X any way they want because they are building around the battery that's the best part. So it could look like a Bentley or anything just cheaper parts. So I hope they make it look more like a traditional car. Tesla's all have the same looks so it would be nice to have more variety.

Nope. Ryan is correct. It was a communication fumble. With $20 billion in cash and cash equivalents, ignoring warnings to watch the stock markets is not Elon's style.
Noise cancellation in the cabin was possible decades ago for cheap but manufacturers never cared. Popular Science magazine (before they went all effete and Globalist, or was it Popular Mechanics?) had a story where the author rode in a test car with no conventional sound insulation and it sounded like a rattletrap. The moment they flipped the cancellation on, nice & quiet. It's great to see a Tesla picking this technology back up instead of weighing cars down with foam and padding.

With regulars to the side mirrors on cars in the US we should all be pushing for side cameras. They are much smaller and aerodynamic.

Yeah well, that's a very low bar to reach imho. Most car brands plop in a cheap paper chinese speaker. There is a LOT to gain when it comes to car audio. Even ''premium'' car audio brands are mediocre at best.

I have a model X which has Harman Kardon. Sound is just sublimely awesome. I'm not a fan of Bose speakers and headphones - sound always seems to lack adequate separation, and don't get me started on the mids. So frankly disappointed to hear that Bose could be the choice in the Ys.
@@UshasRides Bose generally has a huge gap in the mids. To emphasize on the crispness and movie lows. Basically to compensate for the crappy quality speaker so the average consumer thinks it's some high fidelity stuff lol. Because ''hear how crisp and deep it sounds"' xD. Yeah Harman has one of the better car sound systems out there. In terms of the overall market outside of cars still incredibly mediocre though. Much worse than Sonos still for instance. And that stuff isn't particularly high end either.
We have a model s and dang the sound system is amazing. I love it.
