My name is Andy and I was born Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing and unable to speak, so sign language is my native language. I do music covers in American Sign Language (ASL), as well as tutorials and other fun series incorporating ASL! Sign Language allows a different perspective and experience in music, it truly shows the emotions and concepts behind the songs' meanings.

I had to learn sign language this summer. I didn't really want to at first but then i learned that it REALLY is an important language and i realized how many people actually NEED it everyday. From then i absolutely fell in love with the language. Even better, when I first started watching you and TheDailySign (Libby) it just inspired me to learn more and more. Now I am way better than i used to be and i want to inspire others to learn it too! You're awesome Andy! Keep up with the awesome videos and I wish the best for you here on out!

jesus was wrong idk 😂 but I naturally learn things at a fast pace anyways so once you learn the alphabet in sign language, it just gets easier from there tbh. But it's different for other people and their opinion

I'm Happy you told us. All of that stuff. Sometimes I just wait for you to post just so I can see you because you always make my day. And these days I just need a sweet escape for me that's you posting these type of videos. I can hear but very little. I'm 14 trying to learn ASL and nobody in my family or Neighborhood knows ASL. So I understand your pain when it comes to people not bothering to know/Learn ASL. But I am just kinda stuck and they want me to get hearing aids but I don't like them. I have had them throughout the years but I honestly don't like them.
I speak and sing. I'm thinking of posting videos of me singing soon. But I don't really talk often unless I'm in school. And even then I only talk to some people.

Hey, not that my opinion matters, but I feel that you are going to be doing big things with your life, so whatever track you are on is the right one. Keep following it. I started learning ASL around three years ago when I started high school and I just found your page and I actualLY UNDERSTOOD YOUR SIGNS YES, I'VE ACHIEVED GOD STATUS. but no when you said "Hello" I squealed because it was really cute lmao, don't be insecure about it because it sounds really nice and I understood a lot of the other things you were saying also!!

I think you have incredibly expressive and amazing eyes - I agree with one of your other posts/comments where sign is about the whole body, facial expressions as well as the words that are being signed! - I was also surprised to hear that you are only 16.....and a half :D You definitely communicate at a more mature level than that - any way - have an awesome day!

I just recently started teaching myself ASL just bc I fell in love with the language as i was teaching my son baby sgins. But dont have anyone to practice with! lol

UKULELE IS THE BEST INSTRUMENT EVER! I learned to play it a few months ago while sitting in my empty bedroom. (we were moving) I was trying to learn House Of Gold for 2 and a half hours and that's how I learned!
Also, when my sister learns ASL at college, I'm going to force her to teach it to me.
I was there when my friend got her first BAHA in her 30's. It was amazing to see her reactions to noise that everyone else thinks nothing else of.
We're from a small town and she travelled to the city for it so she got experience the sound of the elevator in the way down, walking out of the hospital into a busy street. It was fascinating and so nice :)

I only mention those two bands because I got into VNV, Apoptygma, Depeche, and Funker all around the same time when I was 15/16 ^-^

How did you hear about these bands?
My dad influences a lot of my music taste, as well as my mom, but for VNV, Apop, Funker Vogt, Depeche Mode, I got all that from him

ah andy i love you so much! i have always had an interest in sign language and have been trying to learn PSE (eventually ASL) for a while. your videos (and DailySigns') truly help. you have such personality and emotion and i seriously relate to the whole "trying to ignore depression for a few hours" situation. seeing you accomplish so much, even if its just garnering a community online, gives me the courage to keep going. surely you will become an amazing writer someday or even a filmmaker. btw, your voice DOES NOT sound stupid!! i was honestly shocked when i hesrd the audio and im glad you did something you may have been uncomfortable doing by allowing us to hear your voice. ahh youre just one of my favorite youtubers, cant you tell? lol. ok long spiel over.

I like to hear your voice while your signing, and yeah some of the words are cogent and the ones that arent they still have tone which conveys your feelings / cadence.

You're so talented, I thought you HAD to be older than me (17). But I think you speak pretty well. It doesn't sound like nothing. i love ur channel dude, im currently taking my 2nd year of asl in school and its cool to see it being used and being able to recognize the signs ur doing. u seem like a very awesome person, and im glad you can use this channel as an outlet to cope with depression. i hope asl can become more normalized in society, because it is such a great language tbh

After watching different videos from and about deaf people who use sign language ive noticed that nowadays its really hard to keep up with subtitles thanks to my brain injury. So i really need to learn sign language.
Actually learning about different situations and disabilities really has opened me to understand my situation and that people arent dumb if they look different. Same thing with different races/skin tones.
So thank you and the rest persons who videos or stories ive seen and heard about.

Your absolutely amazing!!! If I met you I would absolutely die!!!! I love watching you and I was to learn how to sign I look up to you!!! People think their life is hard with no bump in the road or anything/ no problem.. You will freely talk about things and can talk to people freely and just an amazing person!!! Your brave and I can't explain it!!! But you make me so happy that your you!!!! You also show people like or similar to you that it's okay God made you like this but it's just temporary... Dude, you're so awesome and I love your humor :) I want to learn ASL because I had a student at my work who was deaf, and I felt bad that I couldn't really communicate with them very well. You've encouraged me even more to get better at it.
Hi Andy, I find it really helpful to watch you sign, hear you speak and read the subtitles - I'm trying to learn some sign language and hearing you say a word as you sign is very helpful.
When you talk it doesn't sound like nothing it's just sounds muffled a bit ^^ this is kinda the cutest and funniest video I've seen this year
Yo! I play ukulele too! I'm self taught and generally suck, but I play too. I'm also learning asl in school (I'm in asl 1 so I don't know much yet) and I get really happy when I can pick out signs that I know and I don't have to read the subtitles! Learning feels great sometimes. Only sometimes tho. I love your videos!!!

Andy, I just wanted to say that you are one awesome guy! I discovered your videos a few months back when I was watching thedailysign. The collab that you guys did was amazing!! You can tell how passionate you are with your music. I love watching you!! It is awesome and it helps me refresh on some ASL because both of my parents were born deaf. everyone should learn signs according to their country, here in Brazil we should learn LIBRAS and where you live ASL. People are so stuck in theirselves that they don't understand how important it is signs. it bumps me up too, as a teacher.
