- It is potato planting time in the Netherlands. We meet up with one Dutch farmer in Flevoland that is using this impressive outfit. In 2015, almost 10 years ago, we visited the same farm. You might remember the video: • Potato planting all in... . They replaced their Fendt 828 with this 942 Vario, so it is time to revisit the farm. In front is a Grimme hook tine cultivator and in the back Grimme's GL 420 Exacta. A potato planter on top of a hook tine cultivator.

10years ago 300hp were way enough for such action 😢
My guess is it is very heavy soil.
And two rotor tillers use quite a lot of power.
We run Grimme exactas with 300 HP Case optums and they are not a bit overpowered and that is without a second rotor tiller

That soil needed a pass with some deep tines a couple of days ago to let some air in the soil. Would have worked down better with less clods
Don't think that would work on this kind of soil.
heavy clay so it wouldnt make a big difference
