The existence of our Drop Bears is largely hidden by our government these days to protect the tourist industry. During WW2 when we feared Japanese invasion, the drovers herded all the drop bears north into what was to become known as 'The Brisbane Line'. Without them we would all be eating sushi now and living in paper houses. Hoop Snakes were also deployed because when angry, they grab their tail, form a wheel and can chase you at 80 kph. Problem was they were hard to keep in one place and kept eating the drop bears. Don't forget to wear a pointy hat when in the Australian bush (discourages em from dropping) and rub Vegemite under you arm pits to help deter them. Remember folks - Look up and LIVE 🥳 🐨 😲

    Drop bears 😂
Better smear some vegemite on the back of your neck. The only defence against those viscous drop bears.
The Aussies had me with this one when i first went to Australia.

Drop Bears (Thylarctos plummetus) even has entries in National Geographic. April 1st circa 1950, they were playing it on screens to incoming migrants at Melbourne Airport apparently, and we just never let it go hehe. Look Up And Live 😀 🐨
