@@EliseEcklund I'd recommend working up to Coachella by trying a few smaller 1-2 day festivals first. Coachella is fun but would be pretty overwhelming if you haven't experienced many festivals.

I was on a Destroyer in the Navy. Every ship these days, had water tight doors between each compartment. If there was flooding, they just had to close a few doors, and there would be no problem... Titanic didn't have that.
Also, as bad as your ship was rocking with the waves, in a smaller ship (like a Destroyer), it's way rougher. I was usually working near the top of the ship. I could spit over the side and hit the water when it rolled... Which is fun for an 18 year old kid.

Hulaween will blow your mind. Not just the performers. Sat night Cheese is indescribable and the Spirit Lake area at night is nothing short of amazing. It’s in Oct. at the Spirit of the Suwannee music campground on 600 acres in Live Oak.

This was a great video, and I think you should go to a real festival next. You could start with going for 1 day only so you don't get burnt out. I mostly go for one day only as well

There is an episode of every body loves raymond on a cruise ship. He ate and ate and ate. His belt didn't fit anymore. Threw it away. No punk rock just elevator music bands. But many similarities. You should watch it.😊

Head to the Folk Festival in Newport, RI, but rent kayaks for the weekend. Paddle around and listen to music. When you're done, paddle away.

I Erie PA there is a gay pride festival in June, when about 5,000 people crowd into the square downtown. If you stay in the other block, on the back side of the stage, where one of the churches is handing out water and flavored ice, it's quiet enough to carry on a normal conversation. Erie is budget-friendly and fully eclectic. I think you'd enjoy it! Amtrak would drop you off downtown about 730 in the morning, and there are nice benches to sit on while you wait for them to roll the sidewalks back out and open up shop around 8-8:30 or so. Nice hotels down on the waterfront, on the other side of the high-speed limited-access through-way.
