I don't care about all the acting and all the other stuff that the producers seem to over react about, I'm not from the 70's, born in the 90's, but I can honestly say that shows like this are way better than the TV shows they air today!
My twin sister and one of our best friends growing up always played Charlie’s Angels growing up! I was Kate, Melinda was Farrah and My twin was Jaclyn. Loved Charlie’s Angels!
The reason Jaclyn had such a major part in the pilot is because Kate was originally supposed to play Kelly, but ended up deciding she'd rather play Sabrina instead.
Farrah Fawcett made the worst decision in TV history to leave after the first season. She would have made millions if she stayed the 5 years for the show
@bianca prince I agree and Suzanne Somers thought the show wouldn't survive without her. Three's company's was best when they had Terry the nurse on from 81 to 84
If she had stayed we may not have Cheryl Ladd. I see the silver lining in which since Farrah is already a star, she gave someone else their big break in leaving the show.
Cheryl Ladd added warmth and spunkiness. Shelley Hack added sheer class. Jaclyn was always cool and collected like Farrah. Kate was independent and appealing.
sad... but then again, when you think of what made the show a hit in the first place, that would have to be the original trio of kate, farrah and jaclyn
possible, yes... then again, if she were a true diva, kate would have insisted on script changes anyway... or, seeing that ain't possible, would have have snatched back the kelly role for herself, seeing that it was a bigger part than the 2 angels' exposure
that's right... if kate was the egotistical maniac that they made her out to be, show would have demanded script changes so that sabrina would become the dominant character in the pilot... but obviously, she didn't
filomango69 I agree with your observation I don't think Kate was a maniac I think she was a perfectionist and I think at times when she saw changes that could be made that maybe the producers didn't realize or maybe didn't want to implement yes she was assistant I don't think that's difficult I think it's let's make the show better a little bit of reality it was stupid at times they're running around in bathing suits and where's the guns that at one point you know it wasn't all TNA and I think Kate never wore a bathing suit jumpsuit that was beautiful she look great in it but she never wore a bathing suit ever Jacqueline Kate Shelly not Kate Cheryl and Tanya all were bathing suits on the show Kate just went in a different direction and that's where acting comes from now was Kate a pain in the butt probably at times by the third season it's been reported she was not happy I don't think it was all Kramer versus Kramer I think she had had enough you're doing 18-hour days and Kate head did for years on the rookies so bye I think plus she just got married to Andrew Stevens and I'm sure she wanted to move on to different projects and was disappointed over Kramer versus Kramer because it's funny the next season they gave the Angels more time off that's their excuse for solo Adventures so it could have been made for the third season for Kate to do Kramer versus Kramer now I think that led to her being a little frustrated because it was a different role and it would have been a great film with her in it and Meryl Streep did it excellent job but I don't think it was the only reason that Kate either was fired or she left the program after three seasons I think she had have enough and glad when either they didn't pick up her option that means or she requested to be released from her contract so either way it goes Kate left the show and it hurt the show not because of hack I'm tired of people blaming Shelly for everything you know she did her job nobody could replace Kate Jackson let's just get that clear I don't care who it was and poor Shelly was blamed for everything and remember she didn't write the scripts and 410 episode she was barely giving anything to do so for people to say oh she couldn't act while she wasn't doing anything so how can you tell but when they did put Shelly in her own episodes she did a good job but I think Kate if she could have did the movie would she probably not I think she had had enough I think the producers had had enough of her as she stated in People magazine they had had enough of me I'd had enough of them it was time for me to go I've always found Shelly I mean Kate very honest and just straightforward and I don't find that a difficult person knows what's good for them and speak and if the producer found her difficult because she didn't say yes sir no mam or yes sir or no sir get over it because Kate you know she the reason the rookies left was Kate's father died and they refused to give her time off and she left and that kind of ended the show it's so I don't I don't find her a difficult person I think she just knows what's good for the show and she did the end you know scarecrow and mrs. King I loved her in that show I think baby boom when she did that could have been better it just it wasn't on long enough and I don't think enough people and unfortunately she's Mister on the screen I miss seeing Kate back on the screen I think her last appearance was on Criminal Minds I believe or one of them shows as the mother of one of the detectives that was in 2007
I feel like they did Shelly Hack the 5th angel that replaced Kate Jackson in season 4 dirty. She was fucking amazing and people often forget her, and the other angel that played Julie Rogers which was Tanya Roberts. Shelly was my favorite by far because she was tough, intelligent and witty. I imagine that if Charlie's Angel's went on another season 1981-82 which would've been the 6th season they would have replaced Tanya too.
I agree with both comments. I really liked Shelley Hack. She knows how to handle the bad guys. Not a wimp like Pepper Anderson ( Police Woman ). Wimp might be too strong. Police Woman was basically a male dominated show which didn't have a tough Woman heroine.
Farrah didn't have a lot of acting experience in the first year of Charlie's Angels however she got a lot better over the years. I'll hand it to her for that.Kate Jackson had the true acting chops out of all the Angels.
Jaclyn was the classic, flawless beauty. Farrah and Kate had the charisma. Plus Kate was a great actress. They were all gorgeous. Each in their own way. It has always been Kate for me.
Of the first few seasons, yes. Until Shelley arrived and outclassed then all! She was the very best but they never appreciated her! Well Roberts sure taught Ladd, didn't she?! LOL!
Kate Jackson, the charismatic beauty, badass cop, the best sense of humor, and yes, an excellent actress. So underrated. I loved her as Sabrina Duncan and stopped watching when she left.
You know people need to realize back in the 70s they were just starting to put women and Lead shows it was still a male-dominated industry and police women they still had to have men coming kind of save Angie Dickinson Wonder Woman could take care of herself the bionic woman took care of herself Charlie's Angels was different and you know not just because of Farrah but Kate I have to say was the anchor of the show she struggled to get better scripts tried to make the series better of course there was conflict between her and the producers and unfortunately by the third season she was either fired or let go or she quit you know whichever store you here but I think people need to remember that it was kind of risque you know meaning that you don't date they were pushing the boundaries a little bit with a lot of bikinis and low-cut dresses and the sexual innuendos from which Kate totally objected to and thought you know that is stupid and Kate would and I've read if you ever check out the Charlie's Angels casebook and Kate is also said if she thought a line was inappropriate she would speak out that's not being a difficult Angel that's just being real and she got this reputation of being difficult and I don't think she was difficult I think she was a real person and thought okay this line would probably be better in this than what they put in there and unfortunately after Kate left Shelley hack got a bad rap and this bull crap of she couldn't act come on if she didn't have any acting ability she wouldn't have got the part so I think the producers were like let's blame it all on Shelly but the writers were doing the one doing the writing and also the producers chose to gradually introduce hack into the team which was a big mistake and by the time they started giving her stuff to do people or tuning out but I think times were changing to you know ask for Tanya she came in at the end of the party and unfortunately wasn't really given much to do because it lasted 16 episodes into the final season and I'm sure she was upset that Cheryl and Jackie and have enough but the show was a breakthrough show that they're trying to do a new reboot again of Charlie's Angels I think they need to let it go you know they tried it before and reboot that they did a few years ago it lasted maybe a few episodes so that should be a clue that you know it's not going to work I think the problem with the reboot a few years ago was they made ex-cons instead of police women they didn't have guns the only episode that I watch they did kind of like a reboot of Angels in Chains I thought it was really good lead done but making Bosley a young guy and and Charlie was still you know mysterious but we all know who it was it was updated to the times that mean they had computers and cell phones that they didn't have back in the 70s now I heard they're trying to do another reboot I just don't really think it's going to work people are stuck with the original and unfortunately like they're doing a Magnum PI reboot with a different actor good luck there's a lot of reboots being proposed would different actors or actresses in the leads you know some may succeed in some may not but I think Charlie's Angels need needs to just stay the way it was and it was an excellent show I mean yeah it wasn't Shakespeare but as Aaron Spelling said we never tried to make it Shakespeare we wanted a little comedy a little Escape Escape bizim so it's you know it's a good show I wish if they do the new reboot and it's at seeds good if they don't well okay this is the second time they've done to reboot let it let it rest but it would be interesting if they do a reboot to let the original Angels do like guess shots like cameos I know that Tanya and Shelly has retired from acting I would love to see Jackie I would love to see Kate especially and Cheryl make a guest appearance if they do a reboot I don't know if Kate is acting any longer she surely missed on the screen but as I've watched this thing I think Kate's tried to make the show better Chic last with the producers that's not being difficult I think she knew what worked for the show of yes at times maybe she was a pain in the ass but that happens when you're working 18-hour days you're not going to be the most happy person if you got to keep reshooting the scene or whatever was going on at the time and I'm sure her frustration with the scripts did not make it any easier but as for Kate as an actress I think she's an underrated actors and I would surely love to see her back on the screen
I definitely agree with your comments. You are right in everything you said. My biggest complaint about Police Woman is that it was basically a male dominated show. On almost every episode, the men constantly have to save Angie Dickinson out of danger. Even on a few occasions Sergeant Crowley had to save Pepper Anderson from women who put her in danger. We never got the chance to see Pepper Anderson use her Police skills to save her from danger. Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman held their own as well as the ladies on Charlie's Angels. My favorite episode titled: Angels on campus had Shelley Hack fighting a couple of bad guys on her own. I was very impressed on how Tiffany Welles ( Shelley Hack ) handled the bad guys. That could never happen on Police Woman. Maybe Tiffany can give Pepper Anderson some lessons on how to save yourself whenever you are in trouble. One last note, it was not Shelley Hack fault that the ratings very horrible for Charlie's Angels.Season 5 the ratings were still lousy. You can't blame Shelley for poor rating in season 5 which led the show being canceled. I watched Charlie's Angels, Police Woman, Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman. They even appeared in a cover article in TIME magazine, November 1976 titled: TV super women. Great article on woman heroines on one hour drama series.
Jaclyn smith and Cheryl Ladd became two of my favorites as they did so many memorable tv movies which we enjoyed watching them all these years til the present time... and surprisingly they were the closes friends to each others throughout the years and after charlie's angel stop airing
Here's what Jaclyn recently said when Kate was a guest at Jaclyn's son's wedding: "My friendship with Kate is not a reuniting, it’s a constant. It’s a friendship that will go the distance and will always be an important part of my life. We crossed a bridge together that changed both of our lives“. Beautifully said! Kate, Farrah and Jaclyn bonded and became best friends from day one working together. And it showed onscreen and off!
I had to look up Smith's IMDB. I thought maybe this was her first gig. Nope. She'd been acting 10+ years already. How embarrassing that they slammed her acting.
Tracy L people need to remember most of the actresses with the exception of Kate Jackson had little acting experience when they got on the show Cheryl Jacqueline Farrah Shelly and Tanya they did some guess shots but they had very little acting so yeah it was sad that they slam their acting but I think it's unfortunate that they need to realize that you know if you haven't acted in the show or done a lot of acting or even guest-starred too much it's going to take awhile for you to get it he's and I have to say you know Kate yes she had acting chops and David Doyle Bosley had acting chops but as for the rest of the Angels most of them were pretty raw meaning they were new Cheryl had did some guest spots so did Jaclyn Smith so did Farrah so did Shelly and so did Tanya so you know it's unfortunate that they slam them for their acting but I really have to say I think Shelley hack got a raw deal claiming she couldn't act and I think that was started by the producer they did not like her because all the other actors had the same problem and they never slam them as bad as they unfortunately wanted to replace Jackie truly I've watched documentaries and I thought why she was perfect and as time went on she got better and not that say that Charlie's Angels was Shakespeare but if you look at the series as the series went on it specially during the Kate years Jackie improved when Kate left Jackie still was there but I think she had checked out I think she had had enough she just wanted to get her five years and then get out sure I'll also I have to say improved drastically so Farrah always was good and when she returned she did her her scenes and left you know she really didn't want to be there Shelly was not given the chance to shine during her year on the show and I think it was unfortunate for people to blame her because she wasn't writing the script she was doing her job the same with Tanya I mean she was the last Angell and the last season and she was only there 16 episodes and barely given any episodes that focused on her character but you know time went on and it's moved on but yeah it was unfortunate that I really think if they would have replaced Jackie with somebody else it wouldn't have worked because the Chemistry Between the first Angels was great I think and improved I hate to say it after Farrah left Cheryl Kate and Jackie had a great chemistry on screen even though we know Cheryl and Kate to not get along you never would have known it I think as time went on in the 4th season the chemistry between Shelly Cheryl and Jackie improved and by the fifth season the chemistry was there but I think Jackie and pretty much checked out she just wanted to get the fifth season over and she was done so yes I agree with you
Yes, Kate had all the good ideas and the only one who had an acting background. Its sad that if it weren't for her, the show wouldn't have made it; it didn't do as well in seasons 4 and 5. Seems to me the men behind the series felt like she should have been grateful they built a show around her. But honestly, in my opinion they should have allowed her to do the movie Kramer vs Kramer to support her and in appreciation of her too. But they gave her a bad reputation, allowed Farrah to bow out of her contract, and called her names, which included saying she wasn't beautiful, she was homely. I'm glad Bruce Boxleitner stood up for her and said she was a professional who knew what she wanted. He also said because she's a woman, men considered her as a b!tch...but if she was a man she would have been praised.
@toye2u Thank you so much for your comment! I totally agree with everything you said! The producers were so unfair. I can only try to imagine what it felt like for Kate Jackson when she landed the role in Kramer vs Kramer and then they wouldn't let her do it. And yes, it was a mens' world in the 70s and they didn't like Kate because she was strong and assertive and asked for better scripts. Then they called her bitch and other mean things. This wouldn't have happened to a man. Awful. I didn't know Bruce Boxleitner stood up for Kate. How wonderful. Just today I saw a comment on TH-cam saying that Kate Jackson was the unsung hero of the Angels. And it's so true! The show couldn't exist without her.
jaclyn and shelley were newcomers... network execs kept wanting to fire jackie even before the show aired... shelley's acting was blamed for the production's inability to develop her role... i think both acquitted themselves in the end... as for tanya, well, they just wanted a girl in a bikini and they got what they wanted... i found tanya so wooden and uninteresting it wouldn't have even mattered if they had cancelled the show after the 5th season premiere
Shelley was gorgeous and the most fascinating angel of them all: she was a real pyschic! How is that for fresh new blood?! We viewers got tired of every show being Kris-centric. Most of all S4 episodes were Kris-centric and rehashed the same storylines in S3 and S4 (already aired 2 week prior! FCOL!!) Cheryl Ladd tanked the show, not Tiffany!
While I had nothing personal against the late Tania, she was a lovely looking lady and apparently really fan friendly and hard working but I never saw her as one of the Angels, admittedly I stopped watching when she came in!
It's so unfair, isn't it! What is wrong with people? I love Kate/Sabrina because she wasn't the princess and glamor type. She was the gorgeous, athletic, fun, kick-ass and sexy girl-next-door. So unique and beautiful. I watched CA because of her and when she left CA was done for me.
That's right! Kate was the beautiful, fascinating Angel. Lovely hair, too. I never liked the Barbie doll hair the others had. So boring! Kate was hot!!
farrah was a sidekick to kate in the show?!? really? never thought of it that way altho that might have been the initial plan... jaclyn dominated the pilot, not kate (ironic considering the network's reaction to jaclyn's acting skills)... and when the show went into series, all three have more or less equal exposure... kate was perceived as the star only because she was already an established tv actress
Actually, Kate was first cast and had much input into the development of the show. She was perceived as the star because she was the top actress and had most experience/exposure and established fan base. The first show was originally written with the idea that Kate would be playing the Kelly character. However, Kate preferred the role of Sabrina.
The best looking is no argue Jaclyn Smith. But Cheryl Ladd is/ was muti talented & the most charming. I love Jaclyn Smith! I like all of them. The sexiest was Tanya Roberts.
Jaclyn had the most beautiful face in S1. She was exquisite with that long hair. Then she cut it, grew bangs and became meh! Shelley' Hacks beauty outclassed them all. She's my favorite. There is something special in S4. I don't watch the other seasons but be curious to watch S1, haven't seen it since a little girl.
‘...a necklace of seaweed (called the Heart of the Ocean)...a sea shell with the sound of the ages (‘Distant Memories’ included in the motion picture soundtrack of ‘Titanic’) ... ‘ My sincerest and deepest thanks to the cast AND the Entire crew including of coarse Mr. Spelling.
hi... far as i know, it's only in the tribute/s to aaron spelling that cheryl was kinda left out... and if we are to believe tabloid reports, it's because kate insisted only on the original angels being present (for whatever reason)... at any rate, everywhere else, i think cheryl's contribution to the show is appreciated... cheers!!!
filomango69 you know I think not just Cheryl remember Shelly and Tanya also were angels I would love to see all the remaining Angels do reunions show on some program get all them together I don't know if that will be possible but it would surely be nice to see all the angels the other one one room and maybe Oprah or somebody could do questions that people have sent in about the show but I don't think it ever happened but it surely would be a good thing as for sure oh yeah I think that was sad that they left her out because she did save the show I don't think it was all Kate I think they wanted to celebrate the original angels I don't know we don't know but I surely think that Cheryl should have been included but I also think that Tanya and Shelly should be included because they also
Because Ladd was a bully! She caused Shelley to quit the series rather than to deal with the drama. Ladd slept her way to the top (Lakso). There is a reason why Kate hated Ladd so much. Shelley & Kate need to spill the beans. I keep wondering if Ladd had died if they'd already come clean about her scuzzball beahvior!
@@irened. Ladd caused Shelly Hack to quit? That is hilarious nonsense. Hack didn't quit, she wasn't asked back - she was fired. I'm not saying she should have been, but she was fired.
abc wanted to fire jaclyn because "they didn't think she was a very good actress"... hmmm, wasn't that the same lie they peddled when they blamed shelley for the slipping ratings 4 seasons after... cheryl was lucky to come in at a time when the show was still piping hot, her bikini bod didn't hurt at all... but in season 5 when the show was already getting stale, somebody like tanya who didn't bring anything to the show beyond her bikini bod proved fatal to the show
I think I lost my mssg when the page refreshed itself. Shelley was fine. The best thing since S1. What tanked the show was diva Ladd's demands: sleeping her way to the top with Lasko then demanding the episodes be Kris-centric. It got tiresome. Every episode that is Kris or Farrah centric is a rehash of what we already saw in S3... or S4 a few weeks prior!
When you watch it now it seems incredibly wooden and none of them including Kate Jackson were particularly good actresses, but they were really attractive to both men and women, it was extremely glamorous and great fun.
They were no actresses at all. Except for Kate Jackson! She was the seasoned and experienced actress and it showed! Kate managed to get two Emmy nominations for Lead Actress in a drama series for Charlie's Angels. Getting that kind of a result out of those scripts is definitely a tribute to her talent. I have watched all of her 69 episodes on CA. She was THE actress on the show. She did comedy, drama, romance, action including her own stunts. Her acting was also very subtle. As we know those Charlie's Angels scripts kept getting worse but Kate managed to spin shit into gold and made the show work. And the fact that she landed the female lead on "Kramer vs. Kramer" because director Robert Benton had seen her on „Charlie’s Angels“ speaks volumes about her acting skills and charisma! The "Kramer" team wanted "somebody who has an enormous presence and skill“. Kate had meetings with them in NYC and they thought she was terrific. Sadly the Charlie's Angels producers wouldn't let her do the movie! So Meryl Streep got the role that won her an Oscar! All that being said it is no surprise that Charlie's Angels did not work at all without Kate Jackson. The show never recovered from her departure. I highly recommend the episode "Angel in Love". It showcases Kate's terrific acting skills perfectly. She goes through all kinds of emotions. No other Angel could have pulled that off ever.
@@19CALI_sunnyv I found them all a bit wooden, Kate included, but to be fair that’s me looking back now. At the time it seemed a great show. Yes shame about the Kramer V Kramer role. I have read a lot of reports that she could be quite awkward with colleagues and watched interviews over the years, but who knows what the truth is.
@@jujuoliver6959 I watched CA back then because of Kate and started re-watching only this year after all this time. And I still feel the same about Kate. I love her, I love the show, the chemistry of the first trio was awesome. Kate was so unconventional, not into glam, beautiful but not in a Barbie Doll/princess kind of way. That's why I love her. As for the acting I didn't pay attention either when it all started out. But now I pay close attention and am amazed at Kate's acting skills. It's also the nuances. Her Sabrina character is never boring or bland. It's quirky, fresh and fun. And so much more. She was the unsung hero of the Angels. You know there's so much gossip about Kate. And I see so many online comments that keep spreading the same old lies. It was the 70s and Kate dared to speak her mind. She was a perfectionist and wanted to better the show. The men in charge didn't like that and the rag sheets made it look worse than it really was. The gossip got out of proportion. It kind of makes me sad that Kate Jackson never got the recognition she really deserved.
@@19CALI_sunnyv it shouldn’t make you sad. She was a beautiful girl and did extremely well. She probably knew her own mind and men in that business didn’t maybe like that hence the reputation. She is still going strong. Looks attractive and fit to this day. Not really a cause for sadness. I think that was maybe not the best vehicle for her. I feel sadder for Farrah really. She died way before her time and did some stupid things during that time and her personal life was a mess. Stating Kate had a reputation is not really spreading stuff, it’s already out there, but there are worse things to be known for than being feisty and she had a career. She wasn’t just a one horse wonder.
@@jujuoliver6959 Thank you. What you said is really nice and I agree. Yeah, what might have been if Kate hadn't done Charlie's Angels? We will never know. But the thing is she was the co-creator of the show. The name and concept were her ideas (but she never got credited for that). So that's why the quality of the show was so most important to her. Yes, I feel really bad for Farrah and the way her life turned out to be. It's really sad. The beautiful thing is the bond and life long friendship the original Angels have had. That's unique. And no one could have imagined that we would still love them and talk about them and the show more than four decades later!
What do you ‘get’ when you cross a ship full of foolish breeds(‘Gone With The Wind’ “Ashley Wilkes and ‘His Breed...”) going ‘Overboard’ (Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russel NGM Comedy)??? Answer: James Cameron’s Breed ‘Titanic’ . ‘A Ship Of Fools’ ALL going ‘Overboard ‘ Every single one.😁😁😁 Now if James Cameron technicaly isn’t a ‘breed’ I certainly (whew as I wipe my brow) don’t know what one is.LOL,LOL,LOL
Indubitably!!! Her nice role in ‘Titanic’ as Rose’s granddaughter proves that all three are equally stratospheric not only in their beauty and humor; but also equal in ‘their’ intelligence.
The worst combo. No chemistry, no charisma, no talent. Without the awesome Kate Jackson, the whole show fell apart. It's because she could really act, she was beautiful and the only brown-eyed girl and she was never boring. No Barbie doll either.
Aaron's Angels looks like a Warner Brotherhood phrygian Amazons raelian show (unlike Charmed). I loved Kate in the Rookies so when Charlies Angels was announced, I was ready for it

Kate, Farrah and Jacqueline. The best! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good to hear Jaclyn say she never felt the show exploited her.
Jaclyn was always my favourite growing up
I love Charlie's Angels specially Season 1 !
I love Charlie Angels there so cool. Three beautiful women they was undercover police woman
Farrah was absolutely breathtaking.
I still LOVE Charlie's Angels.... particularly Season1! =D
Yess..me too..!!!
sad... but then again, when you think of what made the show a hit in the first place, that would have to be the original trio of kate, farrah and jaclyn
Exactly 💯
We Miss You Farrah

filomango69 I agree with your observation I don't think Kate was a maniac I think she was a perfectionist and I think at times when she saw changes that could be made that maybe the producers didn't realize or maybe didn't want to implement yes she was assistant I don't think that's difficult I think it's let's make the show better a little bit of reality it was stupid at times they're running around in bathing suits and where's the guns that at one point you know it wasn't all TNA and I think Kate never wore a bathing suit jumpsuit that was beautiful she look great in it but she never wore a bathing suit ever Jacqueline Kate Shelly not Kate Cheryl and Tanya all were bathing suits on the show Kate just went in a different direction and that's where acting comes from now was Kate a pain in the butt probably at times by the third season it's been reported she was not happy I don't think it was all Kramer versus Kramer I think she had had enough you're doing 18-hour days and Kate head did for years on the rookies so bye I think plus she just got married to Andrew Stevens and I'm sure she wanted to move on to different projects and was disappointed over Kramer versus Kramer because it's funny the next season they gave the Angels more time off that's their excuse for solo Adventures so it could have been made for the third season for Kate to do Kramer versus Kramer now I think that led to her being a little frustrated because it was a different role and it would have been a great film with her in it and Meryl Streep did it excellent job but I don't think it was the only reason that Kate either was fired or she left the program after three seasons I think she had have enough and glad when either they didn't pick up her option that means or she requested to be released from her contract so either way it goes Kate left the show and it hurt the show not because of hack I'm tired of people blaming Shelly for everything you know she did her job nobody could replace Kate Jackson let's just get that clear I don't care who it was and poor Shelly was blamed for everything and remember she didn't write the scripts and 410 episode she was barely giving anything to do so for people to say oh she couldn't act while she wasn't doing anything so how can you tell but when they did put Shelly in her own episodes she did a good job but I think Kate if she could have did the movie would she probably not I think she had had enough I think the producers had had enough of her as she stated in People magazine they had had enough of me I'd had enough of them it was time for me to go I've always found Shelly I mean Kate very honest and just straightforward and I don't find that a difficult person knows what's good for them and speak and if the producer found her difficult because she didn't say yes sir no mam or yes sir or no sir get over it because Kate you know she the reason the rookies left was Kate's father died and they refused to give her time off and she left and that kind of ended the show it's so I don't I don't find her a difficult person I think she just knows what's good for the show and she did the end you know scarecrow and mrs.
Shelley brought heaps of class and smarts.
I agree with both comments. I really liked Shelley Hack. She knows how to handle the bad guys. Not a wimp like Pepper Anderson ( Police Woman ). Wimp might be too strong. Police Woman was basically a male dominated show which didn't have a tough Woman heroine.
Kate Jackson the best 😍😍😍
Farrah Fawcett 😍😍
Jaclyn Smith 😍
Fawcett was a mediocre actress. Sorry
Farrah didn't have a lot of acting experience in the first year of Charlie's Angels however she got a lot better over the years. I'll hand it to her for that.Kate Jackson had the true acting chops out of all the Angels.
Love them all, however Jacqueline Smith my all time favorite angel.
Me too
Jaclyn! HER NAME IS JACLYN
Glossy Angel You’re right, but calm down
@@anamolina6948 I am calm-
Jaclyn was the classic, flawless beauty. Farrah and Kate had the charisma. Plus Kate was a great actress. They were all gorgeous. Each in their own way. It has always been Kate for me.
They used to wear Chemin De Fer jeans on the show, so I bought a pair for $30 back in the 70’s.
Jaclyn Smith-#1 Angel by FAR!!!
You could be right.
Amen to that brother
Of the first few seasons, yes. Until Shelley arrived and outclassed then all! She was the very best but they never appreciated her! Well Roberts sure taught Ladd, didn't she?! LOL!
Kate the under dog
Kate Jackson, the charismatic beauty, badass cop, the best sense of humor, and yes, an excellent actress. So underrated. I loved her as Sabrina Duncan and stopped watching when she left.
My favourite Kate. La plus naturelle. Pas besoin de mini short comme les autres ...elle elle avait un cerveau.
Ok, we all know the influence of that "power trio", but it's shameful how they insist on despising Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts...
How many girls went to a beauty shop and asked for the Farrah cut? I did.
2017 and I STILL do!!!
My mother had her hair style
kathy Lee Gifford? what a JOKE
Not forgetting Cagney and Lacey! Another 2 strong women cops!
It's also possible that she decided to take over the part when it was too late to make changes to the script.
I will never forget my first love...Farrah Fawcett
I blame Lee Majors.
That typical clingy, whiny, im-your-husband-come-serve-me six million dollar man ¿¿¿hah!
Exactly! He insisted she be home by 6 or whatever to cook clean and skivvy for him. Sexist egotistical and horrible!
Tracy L people need to remember most of the actresses with the exception of Kate Jackson had little acting experience when they got on the show Cheryl Jacqueline Farrah Shelly and Tanya they did some guess shots but they had very little acting so yeah it was sad that they slam their acting but I think it's unfortunate that they need to realize that you know if you haven't acted in the show or done a lot of acting or even guest-starred too much it's going to take awhile for you to get it he's and I have to say you know Kate yes she had acting chops and David Doyle Bosley had acting chops but as for the rest of the Angels most of them were pretty raw meaning they were new Cheryl had did some guest spots so did Jaclyn Smith so did Farrah so did Shelly and so did Tanya so you know it's unfortunate that they slam them for their acting but I really have to say I think Shelley hack got a raw deal claiming she couldn't act and I think that was started by the producer they did not like her because all the other actors had the same problem and they never slam them as bad as they unfortunately wanted to replace Jackie truly I've watched documentaries and I thought why she was perfect and as time went on she got better and not that say that Charlie's Angels was Shakespeare but if you look at the series as the series went on it specially during the Kate years Jackie improved when Kate left Jackie still was there but I think she had checked out I think she had had enough she just wanted to get her five years and then get out sure I'll also I have to say improved drastically so Farrah always was good and when she returned she did her her scenes and left you know she really didn't want to be there Shelly was not given the chance to shine during her year on the show and I think it was unfortunate for people to blame her because she wasn't writing the script she was doing her job the same with Tanya I mean she was the last Angell and the last season and she was only there 16 episodes and barely given any episodes that focused on her character but you know time went on and it's moved on but yeah it was unfortunate that I really think if they would have replaced Jackie with somebody else it wouldn't have worked because the Chemistry Between the first Angels was great I think and improved I hate to say it after Farrah left Cheryl Kate and Jackie had a great chemistry on screen even though we know Cheryl and Kate to not get along you never would have known it I think as time went on in the 4th season the chemistry between Shelly Cheryl and Jackie improved and by the fifth season the chemistry was there but I think Jackie and pretty much checked out she just wanted to get the fifth season over and she was done so yes I agree with you

so kate had all the good ideas?
Absolutely. Without Kate there would be no Charlie's Angels. And without her it went downhill after season 3.
Suck that Kate was always last but she really was the hottest dark skin eyes and hair so pretty
Cheryl Ladd was the most beautiful actress on CA in my opinion.
Jaclyn is very beautiful but i love Cheryl Ladd for a long time
Jaclyn had the best face.
The best looking is no argue Jaclyn Smith. But Cheryl Ladd is/ was muti talented & the most charming. I love Jaclyn Smith! I like all of them. The sexiest was Tanya Roberts.
There's only one Icon here & thats Farrah.
Well those days are long gone now.
Sadly.

Clearly we did NOT see the same show. Jaclyn Smith's "bad acting?" "Shelly could act???" I had to do a spit take on your musings.
Yes, Shelley could act. There's an entire DVD that proves so. But let's humor you, spitter: what exactly do you object to, pray tell?
There was only one Angel who was a true and commited actress: Ms. Kate Jackson! And it did show!
hi... far as i know, it's only in the tribute/s to aaron spelling that cheryl was kinda left out... and if we are to believe tabloid reports, it's because kate insisted only on the original angels being present (for whatever reason)... at any rate, everywhere else, i think cheryl's contribution to the show is appreciated... cheers!!!
filomango69 you know I think not just Cheryl remember Shelly and Tanya also were angels I would love to see all the remaining Angels do reunions show on some program get all them together I don't know if that will be possible but it would surely be nice to see all the angels the other one one room and maybe Oprah or somebody could do questions that people have sent in about the show but I don't think it ever happened but it surely would be a good thing as for sure oh yeah I think that was sad that they left her out because she did save the show I don't think it was all Kate I think they wanted to celebrate the original angels I don't know we don't know but I surely think that Cheryl should have been included but I also think that Tanya and Shelly should be included because they also
If it's tabloids making the claim then it should make us wonder if it's even true.

OMG! Alley cats? :)
It was all good.
abc wanted to fire jaclyn because "they didn't think she was a very good actress"... hmmm, wasn't that the same lie they peddled when they blamed shelley for the slipping ratings 4 seasons after... cheryl was lucky to come in at a time when the show was still piping hot, her bikini bod didn't hurt at all... but in season 5 when the show was already getting stale, somebody like tanya who didn't bring anything to the show beyond her bikini bod proved fatal to the show
I think I lost my mssg when the page refreshed itself. Shelley was fine. The best thing since S1. What tanked the show was diva Ladd's demands: sleeping her way to the top with Lasko then demanding the episodes be Kris-centric. It got tiresome. Every episode that is Kris or Farrah centric is a rehash of what we already saw in S3... or S4 a few weeks prior!
why are they all Jews, the producers? just do an honest job

Jaclyn Cheryl and Tanya are the best Angels ever.
The worst combo. No chemistry, no charisma, no talent.
Without the awesome Kate Jackson, the whole show fell apart. It's because she could really act, she was beautiful and the only brown-eyed girl and she was never boring. No Barbie doll either.

Tanya was horrible.
