- Team TaylorMade's Tiger Woods joins up with Collin Morikawa for a short game clinic around the greens. They both use Tiger's Milled Grind 4 Wedge that he designed with a versatile bounce that allows him with dig that leading edge in, or expose the bounce when he needs to. They put themselves in various situations around the green hitting to multiple pins and talking through technique, setup and more. Tiger shows Collin how he draws and fades his chips and explains how he likes to read the green like a putt.

I feel like the video is 2hrs shorter than it should be. There's so much more to the short game I could listen to these two discuss it all day
this video is like gold. it will be watched and enjoyed 20 years from now the same way we enjoy it now✨
I am totally in agreement with you
That's the beauty of golf,
They could spend a lifetime talking about the short game and still never be perfect.
Damn straight. These guys are giving us concentrated years worth
The wear mark on Tigers club at 5:00 is a thing of beauty 🧡
This and his putter wear spot blow my mind. Testament to his precision
Club face is so rusted besides the point of impact 😂
@@xiphos2412 Look up his Titleist clubs from the 97 Masters. The wear spot on those is a thing of beauty. Other than the wear spot the rest of the heads look like new.
Bong Bong
Funny he mentions it at 12:35
20:15 Fucking thank you so much Collin for asking that question
Absolutely, and what an answer!
Tiger said this before and I picked up on it then and it has free mr up so much in chipping
there is at least one important exception: at the 2005 Masters, Steve said that for that specific chip on 16, they were looking at the spot where Davis Love had hit his chip, and Steve said it was about the size of a quarter.
Colin Morikawa asking all the correct questions and TW very generously answering them honestly. Superb insight into advanced chipping techniques.
I think I have a pretty good short game and understand a lot about lies and different shots, but then I see something like this and realize I know next to nothing. Thank you 🐐 and Colin (future baby goat)
No doubt… the simple fact that tiger was able to create two wedges to play virtually anywhere in the world, should tell you all you need to know about his knowledge of the short game
@@atamagashockYeah, he still has the knowledge. The body is just saying "I'm done."
Colin definitely isn’t the future goat whatsoever 😂😂😂
@@gregknowsbest Greg knows best, doesn’t he.
@@gregknowsbestyou know nothing - dude had the most similar start on the pga to tiger and his irons are arguably the best on tour
Didn't know tiger designed his own golf clubs and how his team is using them. so crazy cool and Im so happy to see Collin being featured with Tiger
A lot of players actually got their own design. Tigers are called P7TW, with a 7i loft of 35. Rory's are called RorsProto I think, DJ's are called DJ Proto. Pretty sure Colin also got ones called P7CM. The only difference, other that the obvious grinds, lofts and what not, designed specifically for each player, are Tiger's can be bought by anyone.
You could see Tiger come alive when talking about his own grind. Knowing Colin liked using it definitely made him happy
Just finished watching the video, Tiger is excellent throughout
This is like Einstein and Oppenheimer discussing a topic ...
I’m a 1 handicap and I have less than 1% the technical thoughts in my short game than they do lol... Shows how insane the pros truly are.
I’m glad Tiger is finally being transparent about so many questions I’ve had about the “little things “
Mr. Woods, I know you are not the biggest TH-cam fan, but these more intimate videos are amazing for weekend warriors. This gives us the incite we never really have had before, allowing us to peek into the mind of greats like you and Mr. Morikawa, etc... I have used these to work on different aspects of my game when I go to the range. So, thank you. Thank you for continuing this, even though we know it is likely contract initiated. Just know we love this!
You said it best man
Imagine having Tiger giving you a private lesson like Colin is getting! Unreal knowledge to tap into
Colin’s currently better than Tiger though lol
@@yessi1585That's like saying Pep Guardiola shouldn't manage Man City as Haaland is a better footballer than him...
@yessi1585 Physically speaking, yes. Colin is much better and scores much lower. But knowledge wise, no. Tiger will have a much larger pool of knowledge. Tiger just has a lot of injuries that ruined his game in the physical sense. But he is still the best there's ever been.
@@AceMyHigh the game has moved on and Tigers past it
Sadly it feels like he's completely misunderstanding half the stuff tiger is saying.
I could sit and watch videos of Tiger talking about golf for days. After decades of watching him dominate the sport, it's such a huge about-face to have him talking through all the things that made him so great.
It’s great to see Mr. Woods pay homage to the game’s past legends and teachers. The best player ever now passes along the knowledge he’s acquired and gives them the respect and credit they deserve. He could easily pass these ideas along as his own and take credit but he does the opposite. Being a great listener and soaking in the knowledge has served him well. True greatness.
Underrated comment
That wear spot on 🐯wedge is mint
11:34 Talking about the phrase "Read your chip like a putt" and Collin says "I think about it with my irons" 🤯Absolutely love this type of content for it's insight and it's also an ice cold reminder of what a different stratosphere the pros play on.
Nobody encourages/preaches practicing from bad lies but I think it’s the best and the least emphasized lesson you could ever learn in golf. Great video.
Definitely. However, if you can't get the plain vanilla "stock" shot right, then practicing bad lies will be of no benefit.
@@industrialpalletworx3548 if you’re still having trouble with the “stock” shot maybe try fishing
Absolutely love these videos. I liked when Collin gave Tiger the worst lie imaginable and he just said “thanks” lol 4:35
The knowledge Tiger has is insane . Never knew this much went into golf
Shot 105 yesterday. This all makes total sense
these type of conversations is so much easier to understand and relate to...love it!
Collin is a totally underrated interviewer. He was nailing it on all these questions
minute for minute one of the most informational golf videos on YT
Seve blowing Tiger's mind. Here in Europe, Severiano Ballesteros was our King. What a pioneer, leader, inspiration and the heart and soul of us becoming truly competitive on the world stage again.
Tigers future is making videos like these…I could watch hours of these type of videos with pga and liv and dp tour players.
Collin asking as many questions and soaking up as much as he can. Could listen to Tiger answer his questions all day
“Hand’s high, Toe down.” Had me DYING! 😅
He got that from Raymond Floyd. Raymond used that setup almost exclusively along with drawing almost everything. Take note of how Tiger through years tried to pick the brains of great players in areas he needed to improve. Taking what worked for him and incorporating it.
This is brilliant! This is gold! Props to Collin for the prompts and questions he is asking Tiger. This is an insight into the nuggets of gold Tiger got from his mentors. History repeats. More of this unscripted stuff!
I could listen to tiger talk all day man. You can learn so much from this.
This is the type of nuanced content we need much more of - most just talk about mechanics on standard lies on nice courses. Try playing a muni and see how many 'standard' lies you get - a couple a round perhaps? Also listening to Tiger's philosophy is really insightful - there's a reason why he's doing everything.
I could watch a 5 hour version of this video. Super cool insight!
Uh, 8 minutes in, getting the best coaching in the world. Thanks Tiger! Wow
The wear marks on tigers wedge omg 😢
❤
These shots will definitely come in handy this week at Pinehurst. Gonna be lots of missed greens over there.
Very cool conversation. Old school and new school approaches. Both work, but sometimes one works better than the other depending on the lie and objective for landing the ball. TW's ability to work the ball in the short game is a nice skill to have. Collin's ability to flop'em in there is pretty wild.
It’s amazing how super small adjustments throughout a round to make a slightly better read add up through a round, week month. gaining fractions of strokes each chip but thinking through shots like this can save you many strokes throughout a year. Especially at that level every nuance makes a difference. The difference between a 71 and a 69
Some of the most valuable content on TH-cam. Great job setting it up Taylormade!
UNDERRATED videos right here.
I can’t believe I area chip like Tiger woods. There’s never a single time I’m picking a spot. Very feel based.
Love this video, can we keep this series up?
Tiger is so skilled and experienced after tens of thousands of hrs hitting balls, he trained more than 4 pros combined....respect to the beast!🐅
so crazy cool and Im so happy to see Collin being featured with Tiger
Thank you Tiger. Not sure if you ever read this stuff, but I still remember playing the first Tiger Woods video games with my friends. Thanks for all the lessons and entertainment 🐐
Yeah the game of Golf needs more of this.
Tiger nvr use to share alot of knowledge but now he is which is fantastic
Tiger Talks are the BEST. KEEP EM COMING
Couple Asian fellas just being efficient af. That's their thing. Nice video! 👏
Listening to Tiger talk to fellow players exposes how much Tiger studied the golf swing and how little most pros haven’t
It is so cool to see Tiger embrace the "golf dad" roll for all of these young pros.
Can't believe I got to see this. Inside information. Love the respect between these two.
Honestly watch these in full these clinics with tiger. Morikawa has a W coming his way soon
LOVE TIGER TALKS
Fascinating! And Collin is a great interviewer!
love this series
Absolutely love this!
I like how tiger said chipping around the green is like a putter motion. Every time I chip like I'm imagining I'm putting and drag the wedge along the grass back then hit it through impact like a putt. I never duff and hit solid chips everytime. Try it. It works.
Tigers, understanding of golf is in another universes dimension
If I could play just a 1/4 of what these guys play. Collin always picking Tiger brain I love it.
Wish i had these Gems back in the 90's.
Collin so due for one. Can't wait.
Just love these videos 🙃
These guys don't let each other finish their thoughts...
Love these.. what better coach to have than the goat 🐐
Has the cameraman EVER played golf and faced a lie like this....SHOW us a closeup so we can appreciate the shot!
Their swing thought 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tiger looking more fit. All the chipping ideas he has makes me practice30 yards and in more then going to the range. Miss the old balata balls 20 to 30 feet of spin was crazy fun.
Tiger I don’t think u need to introduce yourself. Pretty sure anyone who knows anything about golf they know who you are😂
I could watch this for untold hours. ......if my wife and kids let me. Great vlog Tigger and Colin.
This is why bathroom breaks were invented for dads 😂
Colin should of said right at the start saying, hi I’m Colin and this is a dream
18 handicapper here.
yes.. yes. Golf! I absolutely understand all of this. :x
Bridgestone is getting free advertising 😂
They pay a lot for it
Honestly impressed Tiger plays Bridgestone to this day
Collin using Bridgestone balls 😂
@@ID0nat3YT right!
Bridgestone pays Tiger to use their golf balls. It’s not free.
This is incredible. I feel like I should have paid money for this lesson.
Crazy detail!
Tiger could become the GOAT golf coach if he wanted to.
Absolute brilliance
Great stuff😊
Great lesson
he picks tigers brain so well its fascinating
the best kind of content,
DAYUM this was good
This made me feel some type of way.
Tiger… you don’t need to introduce yourself 😅
Needed this, I chip like a 20hdcp and I’m a 3.
Short game is all imagination.. that's why I think it's the best part of the game
Collin receiving 💎💎 from the 🐐
I'm not really a Morikawa fan. A little too arrogant for me.
By that comment, I’m assuming you’ve met him before?….
"The British open" how dare u tiger 😂
Collin with the slick flick of the wrist at 12:17-12:20
Pretty sure everyone who golfs can do that easily.
@@TheWedgeWizardnot even close
Get Dan Grieve involved with these!
He's already done a video with Collin
Thank you tiger
someone show this to joe rogan and get him into golf already please😄
imagine a whole episode of him talking about golf😯😯
Man Collin really needed this shot against sheffler to tie it up 😂 I was bummed out when Collin missed
Tiger is obviously an immensely intelligent human being but listening to him describe how to hit shots is funny as heck. He’s an artist. How can Picasso teach you how to paint?!
They look nice. I'm looking to see the live.
Question: Why does Tiger address the ball at heel to hit it in the middle? Can someone explain why that works? Bc this worked wonders for me after i tried this!!
That was an awesome conversation between these two. To bad it took Tiger 20 years to let all this out of the bag....😅
Tiger is definitely trying not to laugh because said something funny to Colin a second before doing the intro HAHA.
Love these
Would be interesting to see #DanGrieve with them both chatting…
I've always felt toe shots allowed more spin since you can get more head speed through the shot without extra power
I love how Colin doesn’t do anything that Tiger suggests lol
