To answer your question though, I like some up close shots to make things a little more dramatic, but I need the full body shots to see the leg and footwork. Check out the video and dance practice for Taemin’s Drip Drop, I think it will be exactly your style, Don. Keep up the great work, I love the way you break down everything.
You can tell from their hair that this was filmed in the run up to their debut with Jopping so 2019 back when they were first getting used to performing together. With this being a camerawork guide, you can really see how it is like a draft or a sketch of how they want the camera to move in the MV and also so the boys know exactly what to expect on filming days. It's really interesting to watch this guide followed by the actual MV. You can see what they kept from this blocking and what they tweaked on set/in editing.... So I don't look at this for the choreo (you just miss too much) but to see how their filming and development process probably went. Interesting stuff and it always makes me appreciate the level of work and preparation that goes into every MV (especially debut ones)
The choreographer thought about giving Kai the best entrance. Make way for King Kai! This man can dance to any genre, ballet, jazz, hip hop, traditional, contemporary, even female dance choreo. No wonder he's look up to in the kpop industry. Just look at his body lines, his sharp movements and precision dancing. He's great at interpreting the song and communicates well with the audience through his facial expressions.
Personally I prefer full body shots so you can see everything and everyone. Someone probably already told you, but just in case: SuperM is group comprised with a couple members from SHINee (Taemin you have reacted to him before), EXO (Baekhyun and Kai you have also reacted to him) and NCT (Mark, Taeyang, Lucas and Ten whom you have also reacted to).
I love SuperM’s dance practices , so satisfying to watch ❤ As far as film work goes, one of my fav MV’s is Stray Kids “Double Knot” 🤔 oh and by the way, the guy wearing the Supreme tshirt, Baekhyun, just dropped the dance practice to Bambi - definitely worth a watch
