Must be the down to earth nature of you stock car folk but your showing the way and talk about all forms of motorsport. Europe snobs and the rest of the world are lagging. Some okay down under ones (and I'm a kiwi who lived in Cali and went to Fontana a few times, now living in the UK) Thanks for explaining the issues to us fans and keeping it real
The only championships outside of the big 3 in the last twenty years are by the now defunct Stewart Haas and the one off by Furniture Row. The most popular drivers drive for the big 3. If Nascar really thinks they could survive without them they are more out of touch with the fans and racing community than anyone realizes.
Someone call Denny Hamlin and tell him to create a sponsored "Driver/RTA" club/association trophy… That way you can still race in NASCAR, while rewarding teams & drivers with extra money & prizes. Bring back the season-long champion, celebrated by his own peers, not just relying on NASCAR’s validation of everything going on professional stock-car racing.
