Not to take away, at all, from all the other Lords, but there are dancers and there are entertainers. Fred Astair was a dancer, a darned good one, but not an entertainer; Sammy Davis Jr was an entertainer (the world's greatest, without too much argument against that) who could dance (among many other things). But Flately is both an entertainer and a dancer: first and foremost an entertainer; both in his own performances as well as his creativity for the performance over all. And, well, we all know how he dances! When you see an entertainer get to express the gift of entertaining with a specialty in the arts (in Flately's case, dancing), it's one of the most rewarding and spectacular moments to watch. Michael's dancing would never have grabbed the world if it weren't for his behind-the-scenes gift of entertaining (again, not just in his dancing, but in his concept of performance in general). When Flately steps onto the stage, there's more than just dancing coming forth, there is everything a gifted entertainer wants to say through the dance, through the stage, the cast and the overall performance. Flately's dream of doing what he did was the dream of an entertainer. Combine that with his gift of dance, and, well, the rest is history. It's very rare to find entertainers with a gift in the arts on top of it. Very rare. But when they appear, it's life-changing for the world.

I once was visiting Davey Spillane's Cottage not sure it may have been in Mayo County Claire? I was there with a friend of his wife, one evening I was in Davey Spillane's music room ! When I came across a Tape Recording of River Dance the Show. I was stunned at watching this almost Surreal Experience. I still love it and never tier of it Fantastic. ❤️❤️❤️

I remember when Lord of the Dance came out, era of the vhs tape, my mom bought me a copy of it, I wore it out! I still enjoy the shows!
