If the wife remained silent then she probably was not as enthusiastic about the lifestyle as her husband😁
It's good to push ourselves beyond our limits sometimes. We learn a little bit about ourselves and can grow from it.
    Great trail you're on😍

I used to hike often with a guy who kept up a three-mile per hour pace, no matter the terrain. Flat, steep, rocky, interminable climbs; it was all three miles per hour. And he never got winded and never seemed tired. He had been a competitive cross country runner in his youth, so I always figured that had something to do with it. But...some people are just put together in a different way.

Yep. I do good on flat surfaces and slow down a lot going up or down. One of our friends told us he ran into an old scout leader on the other side of town when he was on a run. I asked where he started. Oh, at home. It was a long way from "home!" :)

Enjoying your videos on-trail👍🏻. My plans are going well. Flight, hotels & STF membership all taken care of. Having a delay with SJ. They haven’t released the schedules for August yet. I think they are working out the rail maintenance schedules, but not completely sure?? Did you have any issues with booking your trains? Thanks, Cary

Hi, SJ is doing exactly what you expect. I checked every couple days so that I could get tickets on the days and at the times I wanted. They release the tickets about 3 months in advance all year round. August should come out soon. I went during COVID so the number of sleeping berths was very restricted. It should be better now. Keep in mind that SJ is no longer the smoothly oiled machine it was in the olden days. Don't assume your trains will arrive on time. Give yourself some buffer and avoid tight connections.
