@@jrwolf4955 i agree with you. But me I love the different cultures around the world. Myths and legends are apart of the world. I wanted to be an archeologist and travel the world to study the different locations. And make discoveries that could improve the knowledge of the cultures. But what I truly enjoy is the ancient cultures. I heard that for every myth and legend there is a bit of truth. So for me this is wonderful insight. Just like the king is not as good at fighting as the knight, he may need foreign aid. So he will not allow a country (Huaguoshan) that threatens him at any time to exist, so he started a war again. The story may be a metaphor for the United States' rule over other countries.

@@jrwolf4955 "Journey to the West" is entirely a work of fiction. At the time of the chaos in Heaven, Sun Wukong only had the power level of a 玄仙, whereas a common celestial general like Nezha was already a 太乙金仙, which is three levels higher than 玄仙. In Chinese mythology, the Jade Emperor was at the threshold of becoming a Saint 圣人, which can be considered half a step away from being a True God. He was the most powerful being in Heaven. Even the 2,500-year-old Buddha could not match the level of strength of the Jade Emperor.

I said at the beginning that theocracy in China has always served the feudal dynasty and has never surpassed the royal power. If Journey to the West is based on the real society, then even the emperor who is high above may not be able to defeat his generals or even ordinary soldiers alone. Of course, there are exceptions, such as the first assassin Jing Ke who couldn't even defeat the King of Qin, which is another story. The novel was written during the Jiajing period, and it was originally a satire on the emperor and the officialdom, so the creative idea would definitely not make him powerful, so there is the story of havoc in heaven.

There are numerous perspectives on the Jade Emperor, who is considered by many to be the current sovereign of the divine realm. However, it is believed that he is not the original or ancient god but rather a successor to a lineage of divine rulers. Following the decline of the ancient deities, their disciples were ennobled as immortals within the heavenly annals, and it is with these immortals that the Jade Emperor forms his governing coalition.
Prior to his ascension, the Jade Emperor was a mortal who is said to have lived through ten thousand existences, which could imply that he might have had ten thousand mothers across these lives. His role is primarily administrative, and he is not considered as potent as other deities. This is exemplified in the tale of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, who, in his rebellion, was able to best the celestial hosts. It was only through the intervention of the Buddha from an external tradition that the Jade Emperor was able to quell the uprising and maintain his rule.
This is just one of the versions I understand, or a combination of multiple versions. In Chinese history and religion, divine powers never surpassed the authority of the monarchy, hence even the immortals were subject to the rigid feudal governance. Wukong, possessing formidable abilities, attempted to join this power structure, only to ultimately realize that he remained an outsider.

@@jrwolf4955 In early Chinese mythology, the Heavenly Court was initially ruled by the Yao Tribe, a divine race originating from ancient divine beasts. In this ancient era, the Heavenly Court engaged in warfare with the Xu Tribe (a divine race born from the body of the god Pangu). Subsequently, the ancient Heavenly Court fell into decline. At this time, the supreme deity of Daoism, Hong Jun, attained the level of Heavenly Dao (the cosmic laws) and appointed one of his two attendants to become the new ruler of the Heavenly Court, who was the Jade Emperor.

Not exactly, according to mythology, in this era of the universe, there are only 6 Sheng Ren (True Gods), The Jade Emperor is at Semi- Seng Ren level (a level defined by "stepping a foot into True God Hood") or you can say Semi - True Gods. Despites being lower than True God, Semi- True Gods are the highest and most powerful beings in Heaven. Almost all deities in Chinese mythology are lesser beings than True Gods and Semi- True Gods. It is said that The Jade Emperor was once a servant besides the Maker of Daoism. In oder to rise to Semi - True God level, he must practice Daoism through hundred thousands of era (an era might last millions of years) and through countless reincarnations of him.
