You brought a beautiful memory back to me. This was one of the many songs/chorus' my dad always sang. One can never get too old to appreciate and be so thankful for the price Jesus paid for our sins. For the sacrifice he made. He gave His life to ransom me. Oh what a Savior! We can never thank you enough, Jesus! We will praise your name throughout eternity!

Thank you for giving me a wonderful reminder of my darling Dad, who passed on to glory aged 90 on 13th Feb, 2020. He had been declining with Alzheimer's for a few years, and in a nursing home for 2 -- a lovely Baptist facility which was built and maintained by our 'family' church. I visited him 3 to 4 times a week, and we would listen to piano renditions of many old hymns, what he called "the Sankey hymns", from the wonderful old hymn collection "Sacred Songs and Solos", published by Ira Sankey in 1873. This particular hymn, "He lifted me", was very moving for us both, and I sang softly along with it to him, many times, while he began his journey to being "translated to glory!" I know he heard and loved all those musical memories, and hearing your performance here brought Dad very close to me ❤🙏
