I think you do beautiful work. But I always have. Even in the beginning when you would say you were a beginner. I love the tote. Great fabric choices.

    Good afternoon and happy Tuesday!
You picked excellent fabrics for the bag. So bright and colorful! The rainbow snowflake print is exquisite & really does tie all the other colors together. I was wondering how they were going to deal with the seams since the lining is stitched along with the quilting, and I like your solution of French seams, and binding for the boxed corners. Having raw edges on such a beautiful bag would be awful. Did you bind the corners first & then do the seams, or vice-versa? The handles are very nice with the webbing on top, but it's odd that they have the fabric that covers the batting strip so narrow. If they'd had it wide enough to meet in the center, or at least a little closer to it, there wouldn't be the issue of missing the edge when the webbing is attached.
Overall I think this is a really good kit, and your tote bag turned out perfectly splendid (which should *not* have take three attempts to spell correctly, LOL).

I'm happy you like it. I was worried we'd have another falling out over all the gold metallic I used 😁🤣I wish I could remember where I picked up that snowflake print. I am usually really good at remembering, I am almost positive it was at Joann. I did the seams first and then the binding. I was finishing this bag when you commented that trick about trimming the seam first and was like, why didn't I know 2 days sooner!
The handles are a pretty technique but I don't understand the cutting instructions either. I should have trusted my gut and cut them wider, like I did everything else, but alas, I didn't.

@@fredmakesthings Yes, I too am glad we didn't have to stop being friends again, LOL. The metallic really does work well in this project. I may have been late with the seam trick, but now you know for next time at least :-)
