Tekken 5 is mad nostalgiac for me. Not only was that my first game as a kid, but also I just loved that Sparking theme and when Kazuya and Heihachi actually teamed up in a fight

To me, the Tekken franchise has one of the most interesting video graphic progressions in combat video game history. I like how they weren’t afraid to experiment with the animation technology of the earlier eras.
I liked the fact that they remained one of the top of the lines graphics wise. Tekken 5 still looks amazing it was a PS2 game. Even the jump from 1 to 2. The characters started off blockey with limited details. Then Tekken 2 made their proportions a bit more realistic everyone had a unique look and felt like individuals instead of palette swaps.
But more importantly the gameplay still is timeless.

@@someguy2842 Tekken within its fanbase it known and beloved, but in that regard outside of it, I agree, it's so underrated. Tekken 2 Jun's design is always going to be my favorite too (also the nostalgia when I was like 5 years old playing it on the PS1 omg....)
Tekken 3 is probably in the top 5 PSX games along with Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil 2, and Crash Bandicoot games, and was the most beloved and sold Tekken game in general (though Tekken 7 might've out-sold it with all of the DLC since 2015.) As nice as the graphics are from 1 to 2, they REALLY improved the graphics in Tekken 3. I think that might've had the biggest jump between games.
Tekken 2 intro has a special place in my video game memories. By far my favorite. Call it Nostalgia; I don't care. The music in it is dope, too.

Dude the music sounds the most like BGM that fits the Tekken series, plus it has poetry being spoken over it (Black Winter Night Sky), the cool tone/atmosphere of the whole thing, plus the direction of each of the scenes... Tekken 2 still the best Tekken intro, I wouldn't chalk it just up to nostalgia. I could just as easily say the newer intros are just more popular now because they have better graphics and more mainstream music.

I love Tekken 2 and it's opening, but I don't know...Tekken 3 (my top favorite), Tekken Tag Tournament (both), and Tekken 5's opening was mad lit! Think it equals to Tekken 2 or if not, better. But I like all Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken Tag Tournament (both), and Tekken 5's opening just the same.

TTT will always be the best of the original system 11 games, we still go to play on an original cab from time to time. It was also the first one for a console that was better than the arcade versions, the music, the vibe and most of the characters from 1-3. everything was amazing

Tekken 5 will always be my personal favorite. I remember showing it to my best friend and he absolutely loved it. He recently passed away and it's been so long since I've seen the opening. Watching it now just brings back so many memories💚

Since Tekken 3 came out, no ground breaking improvements came after that. Critic consensus will tell you that. I grew up with these games. Tekken 3 and 5 were easily my favs. Tekken 3 was actually my first fighting game, I still remember getting all the characters and feeling so accomplished. That soundtrack is flawless.

Tekken 3 is one of the greatest games of all time. Nothing overpowered just straight fast fighting. +so much to unlock, more than most games these days. It is the 5th greatest selling Playstation 1 game of all time.
I find Tekken 6 Home Edition to be the best in showing the story, the choice of music as the tension builds up, then the display of Azazel at the end as the punchline that at first made you go, "Tf, What muckery is it this time to fight another mucking beast?"
Same as Kazuya's badassery in Tekken 4 on both editions.
But personally TTag 2 over all because of the hype, the quality of the graphics, display of smooth animations, even so they're non-canon. Notice the wild audience suddenly shuts up when Angel appears. So dope.

I remember once in '95 I was staring (and drooling) by chance at a tv in a comics shop window, watching multiple times the first Tekken fmv intro (for Ps1, of course). It was surely just a trailer loop or something, few months before the actual game release, because there wasn't any gameplay demo/attract mode, only the intro. Anyway, I especially enjoyed it when Kazuja blowed out the candle with his fist (although Paul Phoenix on his bike model and animations/lighting were definitely better realized) . At the time I didn't even know it wasn't in real time (hence, moreover, the jaw dropping). Now it mostly looks like well made child plasticine figures, and yet I still appreciate it.

Even after all these years, there is still a certain kind of charm to Tekken 1 & 2 which all the other games lack.
Tekken tag tournament represents my childhood, that's why i love mostly its intros, and Tekken 5 too that came few years later. I started playing it when i was 6 and i'm still playing that game (i play also all the other chapters especially Tekken 5, another great game). I remember that me and my uncle used to play survival trying to reach 20 rounds... 12 years later we're still trying, without changing our favorite characters, mine is Hwoarang and his is Lei. Hope that no one gets bored reading this, I just wanted to share my thoughts.
My personal top three
1.) Tekken 5 (Home intro): Self explanatory
2.) Tekken 7: Fated Retribution (Home intro): I always liked the "cinematic trailer" style it uses.
3.) Tekken 6 (Home intro): Has a slight cinematic flare and is packed with action. Also the first Tekken game I fully beat.

I love most of the Tekken intros, but Tekken 3's home edition intro is absolutely perfection. The entire feels and intense scenarios everyone was in. It was also more on the mature and dark vibe which completely is my favorite vibe. 20/10 I will forever love Tekken 3's home edition intro.

Tekken 2 & Tekken 5 intros were the best for me, I can re-watch both multiple times & always get amped up to play.
