Christina is smart enough to sing in different parts of her range in different eras. People say she lost her voice when she modifies where she places her voice but this is why she still has access to her full range. She doesn't over use the same parts of her voice over and over for years. Beyonce has done this too. Both of their voices are fuller and more powerful than they've ever been. Example: in Back to Basics Christina was singing a ton of mid/high chest belts and placements but she didn't continue that in Bionic. On Bionic she went lower and incorporated more head/airy tones but she keeps the rasp/growls throughout so the signature sound is still present.
Listening back to the cameleon clips they're even more impressive than I originally thought. The c#5 up to the eb5 and back down are all straight toned and she doesn't implement vibrato until the bb4. I don't think people realise just how hard that is. Sustaining notes with straight tone is harder than doing it with vibrato. She did it flawlessly. Remarkable.
If only Mariah had been as particular as Christina in using her voice.... I mean Xtina's voice did age noticeably but she still has access to her voice on most days. I really wish I can say the same with Mariah!
I don't think anybody says she has lost her voice. They just say her belting range has detoriated. Which is true. Xtine was able to hit G#5s kinda constantly and as the time went on it became lower and lower and nowadays she rarely goes above Eb5 which is fine. Her agility makes up for it. Yes i know she is aging but 5 seminote is a bit too much to lose and she isn't even old.
She was never able to belt G#5 constantly she just squezed one in all her career lol. Even in her debut/ prime she rarely goes above E5 so she did not lose 5 semitones maybe 2 or 3 not more
@@samueleemiliani9036 it's about going rarely, it's about doing it. There's a difference between , I said she was doing it kinda constantly, not supporting it. She can squeeze the high belts but if you can do it regularly even if it was squeezed it's still constant.
