    While Jeep has always been widely known for offering some of the best off-road capable vehicles in the world, luxury is not something the brand is immediately known for. For 2022, Jeep is marching forward into the ultra luxury space with the return of the #JeepGrandWagoneer and #Wagoneer. With the #JeepWagoneer serving as Jeep’s answer to an expedition and Yukon, the #GrandWagoneer will go head-to-head with the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.

    Good evening everyone! Thanks for staying up late for all our east coast viewers! We'd like to thank Keeps again for sponsoring this video, please be sure to click here: www.keeps.com/redline to save up to 50% off your first order. Is the world ready for a luxury Jeep built to take on the Escalade and Navigator? We think so, once Jeep introduces a 4xe PHEV option, it will only make this truck even more enticing. This is an even more luxurious vehicle versus the Grand Cherokee L we tested 2 months ago.

    One of the things I find interesting about the Grand Wagoneer is that it still has a 3 year/36K mile warranty, but is competing against luxury brands that have far better warranties. They are going with the Genesis model of valet service, which is great, so you don't ever have to visit a crappy Jeep dealer for maintenance, but Genesis also offers a 5 year/60K mile warranty. All the rest of the competition offers 4 yr/50K mile warranties. Seems like a huge oversight to offer a non-luxury warranty on a vehicle that competes with luxury brands.

    Exshust sounds AMAZING! tail pipe looks forgotten about by the design team. Either hide it completely or show it off but the Blan basic boring every day exhaust that is still visible is horrid and a vehicle at this price point you have not gotten to it it may not have it but a vehicle with that sound at this price should also have a switch to take it from a mild exhaust grown to that deep amazing throw the exhaust that we just heard.
    30 years ago the original jeep Wagoneer did have a roll down rear window much like the Toyota vehicles that we know of and remember.

    I need to know if the new Jeep Wagoneer has opening rear windows, including the side rear most widows between the C and D-Pillars. Also does the rear most sun roof open? If not, then the sunroof is likely not going to solve the potential problem of not having air circulation within the vehicle. This reminds me of the base model Dodge Caravan that I bought new. That vehicle was a big disappointment because the interior did not have access to outside air due to all the cheap fixed windows. The next Caravan I bought was a higher trim level, and it had powered back side glass, which was great for fresh air. At the Wagoneer price point, if it has all fixed windows, then the Wagoneer offerings is a deal-breaker. Relying on Air-Conditioning to make up for opening windows is a huge mistake and too gimmicky at this premium price point. It sounds like the old Dodge Grand caravan provides far more features for air circulation versus the Wagoneer. Please perform a test to see if the Sunroof on the Wagoneer creates air buffeting since the air has nowhere to escape out the rear of the Wagoneer tailgate. Is the Wagoneer just a big parachute? If the answer is yes, it might be worth waiting for the Toyota Sequoia.

    You were speaking about the sweeushh when you floor it and it changes gears. I noticed that a Dodge Ram with the 5.7 also does that. Sometimes when you keep flooring it over and over a squeak happens at the end of the sweeushh-almost sounds like a squeaky engine belt. It's weird. I thought it was just that particular truck that made that sound but I heard one do that the other day when a guy floored his Ram at a red light. I would like to know what causes that sound.

    The Cadillac Escalade is designed to Rival the German and British Automakers hence the European styling semblance.
    The Grand Wagoneer, however is oriented to compete with the Japanese Trucks like the NISSAN ARMADA, QX80 AND the TOYOTA SEQUOIA. The GRAND WAGONEER has all the hallmarkings of Japanese. It's unpretentious yet very practical while the ESCALADE is ostentatious and screams "look at me" like the BMW X7, Range Rover and Q7.
    Personally, I love the JAPANESE design language and the WAGONEER will be giving LEXUS LX570 a serious run of the money. The interior is very impressive. Great Job Jeep.

    Anybody who claims that the exterior design of this thing is anything but INSANELY UGLY is blatantly lying because they are a Jeep fanboy. I can't get over how goofy this thing looks. The front end is the ONLY decent-looking part of the entire exterior and even that just looks like every other Stellantis truck/SUV on the road. That side profile...LMFAO! It looks like a cartoon SUV or something...not sure how to explain it other than the proportions and general design are a MESS. The rear 1/3 of the vehicle is just a total disaster, but even the passenger rear doors look extremely strange...they are too long or something.
    You know what? I just figured out what that side profile looks like after staring at it for a while. It ABSOLUTELY looks like one of those cheap Chinese copies of an American vehicle...it looks like a Chinese copy of the Chevy Tahoe from two generations ago, the 2007-2014 Tahoes. That's it. That's what it reminds me of. A (failed) attempt by the Chinese to copy the 2007-2014 Tahoe, and since they aren't competent enough to do that, the proportions are all wrong so it ends up looking like a goofy cartoon SUV.
    Also I was really impressed by the interior when I first saw pictures of it. But even the interior is a letdown. Based on what I'm seeing in this video, the interior is much less impressive-looking than it was in the initial pictures Stellantis released...at least the front seat area is. It's definitely not a "disaster" or anything like that...compared to the exterior design, the interior looks like a Rolls Royce...but the design of the dash in particular doesn't impress me. That said, I do love the interior color. That is something that Cadillac...really GM in general...just fails miserably at. I don't care that 90% of dumb buyers want an ugly, plain, black interior. I want CHOICES in a $100,000+ Escalade. Actually I want choices in ANY vehicle. And when I say "choices" I don't mean "choose between black or tan or gray". I love interesting colors like reds and blues. I LOVE the blue interior with tan stitching on this thing.

    #1: Should have ONLY been the upscale/premium "Grand" Wagoneer, not a stripped down and nearly identical-looking "non-Grand" version that competes with Chevy Tahoe's... #2: The front-end styling is too safe and similar to the mainstream Grand Cherokee's, it should have been more distinctive with the illuminated name spelled across the hood like the concept had, and I agree that it should have had a powered rear hatch glass like the 4Runner or at least hinged rear glass that opens... #3: It should say "Jeep" at least on the steering wheel, maybe in fancier script or something, but ultimately to not make it seem like Jeep is ashamed of their brand.

    Jeep always has the best lease deals. Way better than Cadillac or any other GM. That`s why I think those Wagoneers will sell well.

    • @mybro727
      @mybro727 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Jeep GW also *starts* at $90k. The Cadillac Escalade starts at $77k. It doesn’t matter what your “better lease deal” is when you’re ultimately paying thousands more for a brand new truck with a worse warranty. _That’s_ why I think the Cadillac Escalade will *continue* to sell well especially after dealership markups for the Escalade are back under control.

    Seems like they knocked it out the park regarding the interior, but the exterior is really color sensitive and that rear window area still looks goofy/ungainly, but this should sell, but it will be discounted after the initial hype wears off. Really pricey for a Jeep.

    • @MercOne
      @MercOne 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TomazHilton SRT vehicles are niche vehicles, so I expect that, they don't sell in big enough numbers to warrant any discounts. Every used vehicle is pricey right now because of a crazy market. These new Wagoneer models are beyond what they're getting for any existing product. A 100K for a Jeep is not going to hold forever if they crank out too many of them.

    • @chynacash3138
      @chynacash3138 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MercOne I think it'll sell good initially too, but yeah it needs more distinction from the mainstream Grand Cherokee for it to remain a player in the $100k category for long. It still looks fairly expensive as it is but it doesn't look as convincingly expensive as an Escalade/Navigator or the German equivalents to me.
