I am a 69 year old musician who's mother bought him the first Beatle album when I was 8 years old and to this day , I am still playing live and every gig oncludes at least a couple of Beatle tunes. My love and respect and gratitude to the greatest band of all time!
Love anything where ppl talk about the songwriting. Edit: Ringo was way more than a time keeper. He was responsible for the overall feel, which his sense of humor and personality was a huge part of. Is there a part two of this going into 66’ and on?
The world needed a lift.... Ladies and Gentlemen The Beatles! Never underestimate the joy the Beatles brought to the world. They made it all look fun and easy and backed it up with great music.
This was a nice video… one I hadn’t seen before. And I’ve seen a lot of them. Was nice how they describe how the Beatles evolved! I I I was six years old when they exploded into the United States… I did not see the first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show I think my parents wanted to watch Bonanza that night. But oh boy I heard about it the next day. Every kid in school had their hair combed down, I was the odd man out. As I got older The Beatles got older. In fact, they briefly evolved past me. In fourth grade I switched to the Monkees. But as I became more sophisticated, I switched back to the Beatles. For 10 years wherever the Beatles were, that’s where music was on the musical evolution timeline. Bands like the Rolling Stones, Animals, and the beach boys, etc. would leapfrog with them but they leapfrogged back. Yes, they were not the best musicians… they even acknowledged that… But they didn’t have to be. They were the best composers of the 20th century… Just listen to all the Philharmonics and orchestras and flamingo guitar players play their songs, instrumental. Plus, the Beatles paid their dues, came out of the cellars of Liverpool and step by step worked their way up, and just kept getting better. They are a gift that keeps on giving!
I've had several bass players tell me they learned a lot from listening to Paul McCartney's bass playing. Then I started listening and I developed a deep appreciation for his bass lines. He's a great all-round instrumentalist for a rock band!
I consider myself lucky to have been born at the right time to grow up as a teen listening to the Beatles, and to have lived around the same Northern area of England as the Beatles did, each time they brought out a record it felt like an event. Something really special happened when the Beatles hit the scene and the mood or vibe at that time will never be repeated again.
The best quote that George Martin came out with, is when he said, when we began, I was the teacher, and the Beatles were my pupils. He then adds, after a few years, I became the pupil as the Beatles had become the teachers.
Ringo has said,”We were just four kids from Liverpool. We didn’t know anything about good recordings. George didn’t know anything about popular music. We grew together. He taught us so much, and he changed recording methods he had. He became an expert on rock and roll, and made us so much better.”
The guy who mentioned the comment about Ringo not being the best drummer in The Beatles and attributing the comment to John, got it hopelessly wrong. The comment was made by a comedian Jasper Carrot.
John never said "Ringo's not even the best drummer in the Beatles". That actually is a line from a comedy skit done by some British comedy group. So sad it's become an urban legend
😅Simplemente magnífico. Monumental. Grandiodo Manuel Guerrero, (rip). Escribió un libro acerca de como The Beatle habían no se que la economía mundial o algo así. Best move or decision the Beatles ever made was to stop touring and work in a recording studio . With a “ little help from there friends “ especially George Martin they created musical magic .
The professors' playing parts of the songs is frustrating. All he should have done was say what he had to say then stop. He's boring, kind of like he's trying to tear the music apart. Dissecting it.
It wasn't "years later" -- as asserted by one who falsely claims he was alive and listening in 1964: "She's a Woman" was 1964. And that "I Feel Fine" was the first use of feedback is not "up for debate". To that point distortion of any kind was strictly a no-no.
I was nice to hear these folks speak about their experiences with the Beatles but it really wasn't anything new or fresh for someone who's heard many interviews and statements before. Plus it only covers about 5% of their total work and career. So it really not at all a "Full Music Documentary" Now is it??
I'm a singer songwriter heavily influenced by the Beatles and wouldn't be one without them, thank you John,Paul,George and Ringo! Bob
That's awesome!

Yes, "every metronome needs a Ringo"...but Ringo kept the beat inventive in ways no one else could have.
Long live Ringo-George-Paul-John's music!!
Forever! ☮️
They were and still are the best.
For sure!
I cant imagine the madness they got through..., and still were sane enough to keep toghether for 4 more years....

one of the best doc;:s I have seen.
Thanks! Glad to know that

Great quote! Thanks for sharing

This documentary should be titled, "Their Ed Sullivan appearances and two clips from A Hard Day's Night".
The best band in the world...
For sure! ❤️
No chance the rutles where much better 😂
The Best Band Across The Universe
John never said that Ringo wasn’t the best drummer in the Beatles. That’s an old wives tale.
"There was not a dry seat in the house."
The guy who mentioned the comment about Ringo not being the best drummer in The Beatles and attributing the comment to John, got it hopelessly wrong. The comment was made by a comedian Jasper Carrot.
Glad to hear that...we know John had a sharp tongue at times so happy to hear he never said that. ☮️♥️🎵
Was just about to write that. Can't believe he didn't know it.
Yes there are a few inaccuracies but overall a great documentary with new voices with information that was new and added to my knowlege. Thanks !
Glad you enjoyed it!

Beatles gave a song to up & coming Rolling Stones.
"The Beatles" continue to outsell everyone else.
SET HIM FREE by APOLOGETIX a great Beatles parody
Above average -- nice that most of it was built around "Ed Sullivan Show" -- which actually had the most advanced sound on all TV.
Except you couldn't hear John half the time.
I became a lifelong musician and spent my life as “John Kaye & The Overlords”
The Beatles❤❤❤❤

Re the a-hole putting down Ringo, John never said the alleged "not the best drummer" quote. It's been proven an English comedian made it up as a joke.
Jasper Carrot was the comedian.
I guess they passed the audition.
That one guy they interview looks like Frankenstein.

George Martin: All You Need Is Ears
"The harmonica riff was stolen from Bruce Channel...". What utter bollox; there's one note that's in the same key. Hardly a rip off.

John Mckenzie ? Who…?
Paul faul paul and paul again
Paul, John, George and Ringo 😂
Sadly, so little commentatry from contemporary observers and musicians.
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). This is the truth no matter what!
I think we will leave all conspiracy theories at the door here....and get back to reality.....
@atleengelstad5303 I feel sorry for these ridiculous "Paul is dead" dupes. Pathetic and sad.
😂
