  • Day 4 of my Cleveland Way walk started in the picturesque fishing village of Staithes. I walked south along the coast to Whitby then onwards to Robin Hood's Bay in heavy rain.

    Lovely to see without millions of tourists. Spectacular coastline as good as anywhere in UK with so many beautiful villages and crammed with history.

      Thanks for watching Paul, it's a stunning part of the UK. So much to see, I can't wait to get back there when we can after lockdown.

      Thanks Dean we did a few short bits of the walk as a family last summer and loved it despite my lack of fitness! Discovered the history of a famous writer and his artist dad in robin hood's bay since which adds to the experience. Hope to be back this year!

    Really enjoying these vlogs. I did the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail as my first long distance hike in August. I decided that this one would be the next and already bought the guidebook, so you vlogging the route now has been super-helpful! Many thanks for sharing your adventures!

    Just re-watched your vid as planning to do the Cleveland Way as soon as we can get back out. I'm guessing the TGO was cancelled - did your entry get carried over to 2021?

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching, yeah the TGO was cancelled last year. It's due to be on this year but I postponed my entry untill 2022 as I doubt it will go ahead in 2021 either looking at the current state of things. Hope you have a great time when you get to walk the Cleveland Way, it's a fantastic route. All the best, Dean
