so many issues with fouls and DQ... This sport might need a different format or different rules. They need to either fix the footing fouls and let fighters take a step or lift a foot. It seems to be a recurring thing and impacts a lot of fights. It doesnt seem natural to keep your feet planted flat, so many athletes are making this mistake despite all the effort and attention on keeping your feet planted. golf might be the closest sport, you keep your feet planted, you have body mechanics and set up and follow through... maybe just start with golf as a reference, let these guys do what golfers do? or maybe build some kind platform that they can lock their feet into, like strap in as if you were water skiing or wake boarding or snowboarding... but have it spin and rotate in a way that lets the athlete set up and follow through and keeps them on the ground but also follows their motion and wont snap their ankles. Think of a food court table with chairs, you can swivel to the right and left but it wont let you spin around completely, you turn and then you hit a spot and it bounces you out and you can use momentum and your hips to just turn left to right and not feel inertia or whiplash. just give these guys a lazy Susan that only rotates 60% in either direction. any thoughts???
