How is the uct private academic hospital different from groote schuur hospital? Because I was told uct students also go to groote schuur hospital for practices
It’s the same thing. I don’t think there is a private hospital strictly for UCT students to go practice. Groote Schuur is a public hospital where UCT students get placed for their clinical work, the same way as other hospitals UCT works with. Maybe it started as a private academic hospital then went public. It is although used for many academic activities because it’s close to UCT med school
