TK gets weekly free advice via both of Jim Cornetts podcasts. But instead of taking the constructive criticism, TK double downs. AEW’s biggest detriment is TK himself.
It died when he got there. Do the math. LOLOL When he got there on the WWE refugee boat. Thats what killed AEW. We turned off WWE to see something else. When AEW became WWE refugee camp. The ratings went south. AEW was not built on WWE fans. It was built on fans that wanted to see the stars on the Indy scene. MJF, Cassidy, Perry, STrickland, Page, White. Mainstream stars from other WRESTLING promotions. Okada, Ospreay, Tanahashi. We didnt want silly childish puppetshow shit. Obviously, look at AEW's track record. 1 million relatively weekly and all shows sold out in minutes. Then, look at it when in came, Miro, Andrade, Punk..........We started getting that WWE level crap like weddings and bad storytelling from the WWE vault. LOL only the wwe fanboys were crying because there were no stories, just yucky wrestling. So, Tony;'s 14 year old alter WWE fanboy ego took over
Reasons Why I Lost Interest In AEW: The merge with ROH hurt AEW more than anyone would admit. There were an in flux of wrestlers from other companies that would come and go. As a casual fan, I have no idea who they are and every week I would see random people that I don't know having matches for no reasons or no actual story progression and it just gets so tiring. The plethora amount of championships really dilutes the prestige of the main AEW championships. There was a time where there are about 17 different titles in the show and it made me think to myself "Well, why should I care about any championship if everyone can be a champion?" The hot potato booking of the TNT championship makes me lose a ton of interest too. Tony Khan is a caring person but he behaves too much like a child and less like a boss. He cannot take criticisms and when he lashes out to try to defend himself, it just makes him look so pathetic. If I cannot take him seriously, I cannot take the product seriously. Their constant jabs at WWE makes them look so childish. I don't mind taking jabs during a promo when the other person has a history in WWE, but it has got to a point where I just feel stupid watching AEW because they feel like a bunch of whiny babies. Fans favorite have inconsistent bookings. For me personally, I really wish they did better with Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Wardlow, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Proud and Powerful, and Miro. All of them have great mic skills (well maybe except Hobbs, Wardlow, and Orange) and in the early days of AEW, they were very interesting and could make me feel very invested in a story. Slowly and surely, I stopped caring. Rampage and Collison are worthless. There's too much fillers. It's not a must-see anymore. The tag team match is hard to watch when everyone kept breaking rules. A lot of the matches are hard to watch when they just do a bunch of gymnastics, jumping around like clowns. When I first watched AEW, I was taken out of my breath to see that people are capable of moving in so many different ways. That made me realized how much WWE is limiting their superstars and my interest peaked. However, after I realized that they do cool spots every single week, those spots that could make me lose my mind, barely get any reaction out of me anymore because none of them means anything. Doing a bunch of finishers worthy move only for the opponents to no sell anything and kick out at 2. After watching AEW, I feel so happy watching WWE because I learned how important it is to protect your wrestlers and sometimes saying no to what they want to do. AEW allows its wrestlers to do so many stupid things that could go wrong in so many ways and are so incredibly dangerous, as a fan, I really could not watch without feeling sick in my stomach. Look at Edge who jumps off the cage for example, I feel so sad watching that.
wcw,tna and aew were all built on the same premise of of sticking it to the wwe , instead of having their own identity but being the screw you wwe companies. You can only get soo far with that business plan.
And ECW owes its Creative to Memphis, MidSouth, and Portland where the first wave of Lunatics rolled the dice. Especially Memphis where the young Paul Heyman was introduced to an unsuspecting World! And they owe their Bankroll to WWE.😂😉🎤🎼🎸🤴🤼♀️🤼♂️B.W.
In short, Tony Khan needs to get out of his own way. He needs to take his hands off of the product and hire actual wrestling minds to run his wrestling company. I thought maybe that's what he was doing when the Shane McMahon rumors were swirling, but that's since fizzled out. And he needs to stay the hell off of social media. Just sign the checks, Tony. That's all you're good for.
Im amazed that Tony Rewarded Hangman Page with a sustained push despite Hangman playing a role in driving CM Punk out of AEW. IF that was me in charge ,I would have jobbed Hangman to every single future main event prospects like Wardlow,Big Bill,Powerhouse Hobbs ,Satnam Singh etc and then eventually ,I would demote that palooka to ROH .
Tony is happy to run this company at a loss, as long as he can fulfill his dream of doing his fantasy booking in real life, with his real life action figures. He pretty much confirmed in an interview that this is a continuation of his made up fantasy promotion he started in 1995. As long as his dad gives him the Money, AEW will live on, no matter how much the company is losing.
2022 is where the cracks started to break in AEW 1. Cody leaving 2. Tony purchasing ROH 3. Vince getting outed as head of WWE 4. Media scrum and Brawl out Sadly Punk's comments about AEW not being a real business seem to be the truth it just seems like a vanity project for a rich billionaire fan who's always wanted his own wrestling company. Tony seems like that little girl from Willy Wonka Faruka who just wants things and her daddy always gave them to her lol. AEW's survival depends on if Tony is willing to admit he has a problem and things aren't as "great" as he claims when obviously fans aren't stupid when you look at shows and most of it is tarped off and dwindling demos and ratings this company was doing 800,000 this time last year and now they are in the 600k lately even less than that how is that not an issue? Yes they got their renewal deal but if things continue this way they will never get another I'm sure WBD is keeping an eye on the fact that they keep losing viewers year after year if things don't change Dynamite will be doing rampage/collision numbers next year.
- Definitive split between AEW and ROH. Khan can keep both under his flag, but there needs to be a defined roster & backstage team for both. Main event talent in AEW, midcard or undercard talent on ROH. - Get Kenny Omega involved with booking while he's inactive. - Set either Rampage or Collision for an ROH only weekly TV show. - TV venues capped at 5000 capacity, exception the Arthur Ashe show. - No more shifting TV days to accommodate holidays, build PPVs around it on the weekends. Have a consistent schedule. - No more jobber matches on live TV. Bring back AEW Dark instead and turn it into your NXT.
I don't get why fans are pointing out that ex WWE dominated Roster.. I mean wasn't it obvious ?? They needed Big names to get that initial momentum.. if not fir that AEW would have been just another indy promotion... which it still is but atleast much bigger than the rest money wise.. Problem is Tony can't book shit and never could maintain the balance of Power between Future and established stars.. The Guys he considers stars such as Young Bucks and Hangman and blah blah are Charisma Blackhole.. Flips and Flops can be the icing on the cake but can never be THE CAKE.. Plus their PR department is a joke 😂😂
Initially they had more than enough WWE stars. You only really had PAC, Cody, Jericho and Moxley who truly felt former WWE. But you also had The Elite, the Lucha Bros, Joey Janela and the Four Pillars to balance it out. And you could argue that not a single one of them was doing something similar to what they were doing in WWE. Now it feels like every person they sign is someone who made their name in WWE or NJPW and will be sticking to that same character, so it just feels like a lower division of the big leagues.
my first act as CEO would be.. -TAKE jericho moxley and cassidy off the air for good, week after week i see the same damn people on the same damn show and that isnt good at all -get rid of the ftw tnt tbs and trios tag title, part of being a champion was because you had to actually WORK for it back then and having a limited amount of belts made earning the title more intense, now anyone can get a belt and it makes it seem like you get trophies just for participating and thats now how it should be - HIRE someone who has actual experience with booking matches/storylines and not put all the creative decisions on certain individuals -STOP trying to be friends with your employees, not everyone is going to like you but they have to respect, and if those mfers dont get in line then they have to go regardless of who it is doesnt mean you have to be a vince mcmahon it justs means that YOU as a boss mean business -STOP signing new wrestlers only for them to be hot for a few weeks then stay in the shelf - get rid of these ridiculous ass tournaments that go nowhere but a title shot, aew has had way too many one and done matches and i would put that shit down for good - cut down the roster, if your not utilizing your wrestlers properly why even have them?? every episode should be different but make sense since each wrestler would have their own feud/storyline - the biggest one of all, STOP trying to focus on competing with WWE, as a kid who grew up in the attitude era the reason why it was so raw and unhinged was because it had its own image and wasnt trying to be like everyone else, thats the big issue with AEW is that they have an identity issue, what happened to being the revolution? what happened to being the alternative in pro wrestling?? i look at AEW today and all i see is the same mistakes WCW made, how ironic, those are the first executive decisions i would make as owner imo….
Say what you want about Vince, but he would have capitalized on CM Punk vs the Elite, and turned a real situation into a storyline to generate money. AEW failed to do that.
I was wondering why collision looked so dark while I was watching it on tv the other day. Then I remember the arenas barely have any fans in them. Sad to see where this company is heading.
Ever since Punk came it became a curse , he foreshadowed almost every wrestler of the roster and when he left , he took not only their true fans but other part too cuz of revealing Tony Khan's behavior , he doesn't exposed their bussiness, he exposed the real AEW
TK failed because he doesn't know how to be a boss. Ive been watching since day 1 and his booking has literally made me resent AEW. After 20+ years of not watching wrestling, AEW got me back into it, and it was awesome those first 3 years.. the ironic thing is their constant burying of WWE and the firing of CM Punk actually peaked my interest in and got me back into WWE and now Im watching WWE again. I hadn't watched wwe since 99 and hated everything post attitude era. But now its actually decent and AEW has fallen off with terrible booking like WWE before Vince left.
The first crack was Cody Rhodes, the guy that co-founded the damn company, quitting and going back to the WWE. Think about how bad things were to leave a company he was in partly charge of to go back to just being another employee for a company that never gave him a chance!!!!
Tony Khan is the absolute worst booker there has ever been in wrestling. As a fan for over 35 years, I have loved big and small promotions from around the US and Japan. Never has a booker been so absolutely clueless about how to book pro wrestling. He can't even tell the difference between good workers and bad ones. Orange Cassidy is a complete embarrassment to the entire business. Tony doesn't understand what wrestling is, how or why it works. Tony is a complete money mark and a clown. It's sad to see as when I first heard that another long time fan was starting a promotion my hopes were really high for AEW. I thought someone like ME is starting a promotion. But how wrong I was, Tony is completely opposite to me because I actually RESPECT pro wrestling. Tony just wants to bash his real wrestling figures together, he has no concept of what makes pro wrestling work. AEW is completely doomed now. Tony has had 5 years of expert analysis by guys like Jim Cornette and Eric Bischoff but Tony ignores them and often does the complete opposite to what they say should be done and this is where we are now, everyone has given up hope for AEW to ever be good. It's absolute garbage now and it can't be saved.
My first act as the new Owner of AEW would be to cut down the roster, its time all the older guys that Tony Khan brought in to be released, my next act would be to cut down the amount of championships on ROH and AEW, third I would have a ROH based TH-cam Channel posting shows and clips from that nights ROH, fourth I would turn ROH into an actual developmental territory and call up the stars that ROH has that could be used on TV like Athena, finally I would cancel Collision and instead of letting the inmates run the asylum I would start putting my foot down and actually act like a boss and put the fear of god into them and if they don't like it there's the door.
The fact AEW fans think Moxley is still great says that it's beyond saving to me - he's horrible television, although great as Ambrose on WWE, I think his whole career is just living off that
Right now, the big thing they need to do is divide AEW into three shows: Ring of Honor, collision and dynamite. I would divide the writing room into thirds, so there’s less people because when you have too many writers that creates a lot of problems The next thing is that I would have a meeting with Tony and I would say what wrestlers do you want to push, what wrestlers do you feel have no future , what wrestler should be released, what wrestler should be recruited from home and what wrestlers should be on a developmental program? And after that I would put developmental wrestlers in Ring of Honor, but I would put some wrestlers that I think could be a big deal in the Ring of Honor championship picture like Wardlow, Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Sammy Guevara, Big Bill, Shelton Benjamin and Dustin Rhodes, and Luchasuarus, this way, they can have experience becoming champions and you’re throwing in a couple of veterans, and you take the Ring of Honor roster and you graduate some of them to dynamite and collision every six months, and some people you release and spend that extra money on other developmental wrestlers. My other rule would be that the writing room gets six months to prove if they are successful and I would target fantasy booking wrestlers on TH-cam, who can do long-term booking that well. And I would really emphasize with Toni that he needs to make a list of wrestlers that he wants to push and the storylines need to be pushing these wrestlers, and nothing else matters. And I would divide the titles: Ring of Honor keeps all the Ring of Honor titles, but the Ring of Honor women’s champion and men’s world heavyweight champion can appear on dynamite or collision once in a while or defender titles on a PPV . Collision would have the trios, continental, and international title, and TBS championship. Dynamite would have the AEW championship, tag team, TV and women’s championship. Also, the only rule is that the AEW world champion can go between programs. And my big thing would be consistent storytelling, worlds end needs to be the show where storylines end, and there are hints of new stories and new rivalries. And revolution should be the time that people understand what stories are going out through the year. I would also make sure that you have wrestlers being either a heel or a baby face for at least 8 to 12 months, to prevent a situation of fluctuation. Also my other philosophy would be that unless somebody gets injured they get a consistent push, if Wardlow gets over, he needs to be on television for the next year and he needs to have the right booking for him. The next thing that I would do would makes Tony Khan a promoter, his job is to get big areas and make big spectacles but also make a list of wrestlers that he wants to have the writing room push. And you would have to get a head story editor for the three shows and this way you have somebody in charge of the creative vision, just like a Director of a movie, to make sure whatever stories that are happening makes sense, you prevent things like Cassidy going for a title and doing the comedy kick because that doesn’t fit, and they hear the ideas of everybody including the wrestlers, and then they use artificial intelligence or their own judgment to make everything make sense. And the way that I would do pay-per-view is that the zero hour is going to be Ring of Honor matches, and the pay-per-view is going to be AEW matches. I would create a rule that the Ring of Honor women’s title and men’s title will be defended at all in every single year to give a big push to the future champion. Add out, also treat Ring of Honor pay-per-view like a big deal, instead of a lack of promotion And then the last thing is that I would make a list of what makes good professional wrestling stories and how to create stories and I would talk to wrestlers and everybody about consistency and their ideas to make sure everything works. And importantly, I would give myself complete power to make sure you’re not in a situation of somebody pushing a bad idea , or a situation like what happened where Toni wanted Brian Danielson to become champion, when it was better to give it to Adam Paige versus swerve at Wembley.
Okada Jay White Edge ...etc The 3 names were suppose to achieve greater height and AEW surprised me by how the company is able to made them absolute forgettable names.
I think the way how Rhodes' wrestling school(s) was never really implemented into AEW (they could had made it like FCW / NXT instead buying ROH) or how co-operating companies like GCW and their wrestlers were booked and treated played also a role.
I feel when Cody left it started to break apart he has the brains where Young Bucks and Kenny yes also brilliants minds but they only know their brand they can't sell themselves and AEW Cody was the one who could do both. At least kenny came out and said how hard it was as not only was he planning his matches he had to worry about the entire promotion it's crazy nobody could work like that.
AEW is done. Unfortunately Tony doesn't seem to get the hint and I'm not sure WB is gonna even hold up that TV deal contract!! Even if it means losing some money... Sadly it's nothing to celebrate. ,cause if AEW becomes a nonissue, WWE gets less complaisant. It's gonna end up bad for almost everyone. I don't think Tony cares if he lost a couple hundred million dollars! But all the talent and the other employees are shit outta luck
I started getting back to wrestling recently after 15 years so I decided to watch AEW. I didn't like it at all, the matches are a spot fest and no moves really matter. I like watching older wrestling instead
Personally I don’t wanna see AEW go because it’s cool there’s another promotion but yeah they gotta work on getting back momentum. They got hella good people but you gotta use them right. Who’s the big star? Besides MJF? I hope they take a deep look because you can’t ignore the problems.
I can tell you if Vince McMahon would had been the owner of AEW , he would reach every single heat and real conflicts into great angles turning into bussiness , he was more visionary , with Edge/Matt Hardy angle , CmPunk/Jonh Cena angle , Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels angle , he was way more opposite than TK , one lacked of sleeping for money and the other lacks of sleeping for nothing
Tony should have fired Young Bucks they are the liability for the company and nothing but self serving prick who prioritize put themselves at top than doing what's best for business They are not a draw either. In fact it's the quite opposite they turn people away from TV and rating killer
“the elite” killed AEW and Tony is burying it. A bunch of indie darlings who never got over for a reason until Tony gave them an unlimited bank account. Once he stops listening to them and the marks masquerading as “journalists” AEW will be better off.
I remember when people would blame Cody Rhodes when AEW Wasn't doing that Good, especially when he was on the show, It's been 2, going on 3 years since he left AEW, and now we see things Slowly, but surely, crumbling around All Elite Wrestling.
They never evolved. As much as Vince's booking got a lot of hate for always repeating, at least it had a lot of compelling stories and Vince's had the balls to just drop off some stories if it wasn't working. Aew just keeps putting out the same wrestling every week and on top of that every match in the card is the same. It's like Roman's infamous quote, Missionary over and over and over again. The promos as well are all the same. They try to be edgy in all of their promos. Heck, only Toni Storm actually made promos that stuck within the storyline and her character. When Toni Storm and Mariah May are the only ones in the whole damn card making good tv promos, you know there's a problem.
Aew failed because tony clown buried their own talent..and put 60% of ex wwe to their promos ..and the storyline so boring ..they have a good wrestler but some of them dont know how to do promo..failed in mic ..so if this still happen..nobody want to see anymore aew..All Expired Wrestler 😅
I watched aew since dynamite started and seen how tk has replaced a lot of the guys and girls who were since the begining for sucky wrestlers from WWE has killed for me. Also tk dismantled njpw so forbidden door has lost It too
First, Tony needs to stepdown as head of creative and hire an experience person to fill the role. 2nd, AEW going forward should go to smaller arenas. Lastly, there is no shame if AEW follow/copy the WWE model of 2 main roster and a developmental brand.
For me it's the Cody lack of continuity after beaten by MJF. The built was extremely good plus the drama leading up to it. But then afterwards he just gone and do sth else. Whilst both MJF and Cody never even interact at all
Another crack right now is the lucha bros conflict. Everyone saying the lucha bros got a contract for wwe but the lucha bros themselves, in fact penta tweeted that those rumors are false but yet every wrestling “news” are still sticking with the wwe story
Dr chris featherstone tweet “The alleged excuse that Tony Khan found out about Lucha Brothers [being] in talks with WWE is 'fake news,' and the real reason [will be] revealed."
Collision wa s bad idea from the start but Rampage could've worked if it treated itself as a B show i.e. only focus on guys barely on TV at the time. i mean if you have a bloated roster might as well use guys who aren't being used 1 or two might catch fire plus it's only an hour so not like you're wasting that much time
he needs a real booker and not going what's hot in the moment. Stick to your core wrestlers and each federation as their own and concentrate on your brand instead of going after WWE. Just be your own and the brand will grow.
Losing punk was a big mistake. Plus I think outside of Punk and MJF and Christian, they can't build plotlines behind anyone. I stopped watching this summer because it just felt stale and there was no excitement to see what happens next. WWE, on the other hand, is telling great stories involving Cody and the Bloodline.
Personally, I don't think much has changed in 5 years. Their early success was them being the new hotness at a time when WWE wasn't very good. WWE got better and AEW never improved so people started tailing off outside a very miniscule bump for CM Punk. Tony was always a bad booker it's just now he's had more time to build a reputation for it.
That's right aew has been bad since 2019 it just got alot of blind praise. It was just a matter of time before the fans would see aew for what it really was
I still believe in AEW yes they go through a rough patch right now but ever since the drama with CM punk and firing him and then CM punk star airing their dirty laundry on the MMA hour then airing the all in footage was a terrible idea and of course as soon as Vince McMahon was forced to step down and triple H took over WWE that was a huge blow to the company day by day Tony is slowly losing his roster to WWE I'm happy they got the deal and they're going to max starting now already up to next year Tony got to step it up
I think AEW need the major or final ppv like wrestlemania. The most precious ppv, like the final story. Also the build up and story are so damn boring. Just focus on the Star like mjf, Kenny omega, moxley, hangman, darby, Chris jericho, Cristian cage, adam cole, adam copeland, swerve and absolutely the hurt syndicate. Aew still have great talent.
I would only have the World , TNT, & Tag titles & I would put the being the elite title on television where whoever the bte champion is gets to pick a game that isn't wrestling to defend the title in the gimmick would get over
They went away with the millions of viewers that got sick of watching this same crap for years with WWE. LOL What did they think was gonna happen? WWE lost over 90% of its viewers peddling this garbage. The second AEW started hiring disgruntled WWE cry babies and scripting the same bad WWE TV. Ratings tanked 50%. LOL
I was a fan of AEW but I can't sit through it anymore it's boring AF. But AEW from 2019-21 was it's best years Tony refuses to improve the show now I'm done it was a good alternative to WWE for awhile. But now I just wouldn't watch wrestling in general anymore WWE is not that much better under HHH it's still PG trash it's only worth watching when the Rock returns just for his segments. I'm so glad I was able to experience wrestling when it was at it's best in the Attitude era and even some of the Ruthless Aggression early years where great.
who cares about the CMLL Guys? AEW sucks really bad nowadays. The Moxley-Storyline is boring AF and TK lives in Fantasyland with his stupid booking. MJF is maybe the only highligt they have and he is not even arround. AEW sucks.
i dont think its all tony khan cause the champions are supposed to help the booking so i think its the champions for example when julia hart was tbs champ she was 22 and didnt know how to lead she was a very good fighting champion but lost it due to inability of being able to lead
Let’s say if you’re right which it isn’t the case. Why isn’t TK stepping in and changing things? He’s the boss so why is he allowing others to drive viewers away? With that said he’s in control and just hasn’t been a good booker as he was in the beginning so they’re falling apart and he’s the reason why..
I actually loved the company on its onset. The youtube show with their undercard talent against jobbers was even alright. But then all the WWE signings and not booking most of them properly. Going away from some of the people i invested in over the first few years like Hobbs Starks Wardlow to name a few and their horrible booking. Allowing wrestlers to EVPs fosent help. Yhe constabt overbookong of the Bucks which their not even that good. Using everyones finished 20 times within a match with a bunch of kick outs dilutes matches. Exploding rings flamethrowers etc dont belong in wrestling really. MJF getting hirt at the height of his title regn. The CM Punk saga which hinself the bucks omega perrycand hangman were all in the wrong at certain points shoulda been nipped in the butt from the start buttvKahn wants to be friends not a boss. Have all vontributedbto itsbdigressing viwership. Ultimately its the booking though 50/50 booking and no deep storylines to invest in have cintributes to me juzt catching highlights at this point.

@@johnnymizanin4835 Of course it's not their fault.Nothing is ever Tony and his goobers fault.Crappy and non existent storylines, viewers laughing and turning the channel because it's not a comedy but still a joke. Its WWE fault that everything AEW does turns to 💩.The non exploding ring was a warm up for the incompetence that is Tony
TK gets weekly free advice via both of Jim Cornetts podcasts. But instead of taking the constructive criticism, TK double downs. AEW’s biggest detriment is TK himself.
Excellent point
I feel like AEW died when CM Punk left😂
True
Nope...it died when they kept bringing in WWE talent starting with the old Wyatt Brothers and House of Black
It started when Cody left, it showed that there was problems at the very top
@LIL-MAN_theOG you're a clown 😂 Wrestling companies do that all the time and wwe isn't the only company kid
Sit down and shut up
It died when he got there. So, Tony;'s 14 year old alter WWE fanboy ego took over
Reasons Why I Lost Interest In AEW:
The merge with ROH hurt AEW more than anyone would admit.
There was a time where there are about 17 different titles in the show and it made me think to myself "Well, why should I care about any championship if everyone can be a champion?"
The hot potato booking of the TNT championship makes me lose a ton of interest too.
You can only get soo far with that business plan.
the same mindset was projected by Paul E. Dangerously in ECW: "Me against the World (WCW/nWo and WWF (WWE)" - Tupac Shakur
Just give the book to Cornette and Mantel. They’re both just chilling at home right now.
@Thor-Orion Mantel, absolutely. I don't think Cornette would do it being that the Khans are Trump donors.

Best explanation for this video
2022 is where the cracks started to break in AEW
1. Cody leaving
2. Tony purchasing ROH
3. Vince getting outed as head of WWE
4. Media scrum and Brawl out
Sadly Punk's comments about AEW not being a real business seem to be the truth it just seems like a vanity project for a rich billionaire fan who's always wanted his own wrestling company.

Im still horrified that he believes that Kyle o reilly ,Daniel Garcia and Jack Perry are future main eventers.
Nobody says ex wwe guys anymore. That was like 3-4 years ago. The product just got worse
Terrible management, you don't start a 2nd or 3rd tv show when your flagship isn't producing great numbers to begin with, it's madness
It all comes down to ticket prices. Their prices are ridiculous. Nobody can afford to pay both $50 a month for PPVs and also pay to see Dynamite.

Eddie Kingston appears.
Poetry.
He used to be good, then he revealed himself to be a weeb
"We need a champion that smells like Tom Ford, not Burger King and Newports." - Stokely Hathaway (on Eddie Kingston)
my first act as CEO would be..
-TAKE jericho moxley and cassidy off the air for good, week after week i see the same damn people on the same damn show and that isnt good at all
-get rid of the ftw tnt tbs and trios tag title, part of being a champion was because you had to actually WORK for it back then and having a limited amount of belts made earning the title more intense, now anyone can get a belt and it makes it seem like you get trophies just for participating and thats now how it should be
- HIRE someone who has actual experience with booking matches/storylines and not put all the creative decisions on certain individuals
-STOP trying to be friends with your employees, not everyone is going to like you but they have to respect, and if those mfers dont get in line then they have to go regardless of who it is doesnt mean you have to be a vince mcmahon it justs means that YOU as a boss mean business
-STOP signing new wrestlers only for them to be hot for a few weeks then stay in the shelf
- get rid of these ridiculous ass tournaments that go nowhere but a title shot, aew has had way too many one and done matches and i would put that shit down for good
- cut down the roster, if your not utilizing your wrestlers properly why even have them?? every episode should be different but make sense since each wrestler would have their own feud/storyline
- the biggest one of all, STOP trying to focus on competing with WWE, as a kid who grew up in the attitude era the reason why it was so raw and unhinged was because it had its own image and wasnt trying to be like everyone else, thats the big issue with AEW is that they have an identity issue, what happened to being the revolution? what happened to being the alternative in pro wrestling?? i look at AEW today and all i see is the same mistakes WCW made, how ironic, those are the first executive decisions i would make as owner imo….
Tony khan will never know how to created complex characters because he'll never have a complicated life
Tony mcmahon is a reality
can't believe he turned into a McMahon so fast.
Vince has taken less creatively bankrupt shits than Khan.
He has basically turned into that
Say what you want about Vince, but he would have capitalized on CM Punk vs the Elite, and turned a real situation into a storyline to generate money.
The problem is that AEW wrestlers don't have interesting gimmicks
I agree with you
TK failed because he doesn't know how to be a boss.
Aew fans went straight to WWE and NXT.
Here's an unpopular opinion:
ROH would have been better under WWE on Peacock.
I would divide the writing room into thirds, so there’s less people because when you have too many writers that creates a lot of problems
The next thing is that I would have a meeting with Tony and I would say what wrestlers do you want to push, what wrestlers do you feel have no future , what wrestler should be released, what wrestler should be recruited from home and what wrestlers should be on a developmental program?
Add out, also treat Ring of Honor pay-per-view like a big deal, instead of a lack of promotion
And then the last thing is that I would make a list of what makes good professional wrestling stories and how to create stories and I would talk to wrestlers and everybody about consistency and their ideas to make sure everything works. And importantly, I would give myself complete power to make sure you’re not in a situation of somebody pushing a bad idea , or a situation like what happened where Toni wanted Brian Danielson to become champion, when it was better to give it to Adam Paige versus swerve at Wembley.
Okada
Jay White
Edge
...etc
The 3 names were suppose to achieve greater height and AEW surprised me by how the company is able to made them absolute forgettable names.
Sometimes I often forget what Jay White even looks like .
@@Hunkzilla loved him in NJPW, but he made a career ending mistake by signing with AEW
recently the arenas have neem using a small ground floor stage with zero pyro. That alone tells you that AEW is dead
i thought you clowns claimed they died years ago
AEW's rise and fall was as fast as a hit from a line that Tony does on a dailyeeee basis
Dailyeee baseees baby please
Let’s be honest, the biggest domino effect of AEW‘s downfall was Vince McMahon stepping down as head of creative in WWE.
I think the way how Rhodes' wrestling school(s) was never really implemented into AEW (they could had made it like FCW / NXT instead buying ROH) or how co-operating companies like GCW and their wrestlers were booked and treated played also a role.
Heck, this sounds like a better use of ROH than what TK is doing
Old AEW was so dope, it sucks now
I have an idea… why not get “Platinum” Mike Perry vs Bobby Lashley? BKFC’s King of Violence vs AEW’s Most Dangerous Man…
Big swole laid it out there way back when she was released but everyone made excuses and didn’t believe her.
0:17 and TNA
Both 👀 I see
Men of culture. We meet again.
Thank you for the well analyzed non bias video. Respect ❤
They were never that good dude.
Biggest mistake was letting Cody and Punk leave then burrying their best best babyface imo Darby
Personally I don’t wanna see AEW go because it’s cool there’s another promotion but yeah they gotta work on getting back momentum. They got hella good people but you gotta use them right. Who’s the big star? Besides MJF? I hope they take a deep look because you can’t ignore the problems.
TK pulled an Icarus ...
Now i see why Cody was insinsting for leaving , he knew his carrer was slowly going down again
Tony should have fired Young Bucks they are the liability for the company and nothing but self serving prick who prioritize put themselves at top than doing what's best for business
They are not a draw either. In fact it's the quite opposite they turn people away from TV and rating killer
This is what happen when you try to hard
By the end of 2025 Tony Khan will be begging TKO & WWE to buy him out.
AEW needs a better framework for storytelling. That's for certain.
Also tk dismantled njpw so forbidden door has lost It too
I like forbidden door it’s the one night where you have a combination of nwjp aaa etc. Bryan omega punk were huge
First, Tony needs to stepdown as head of creative and hire an experience person to fill the role. 2nd, AEW going forward should go to smaller arenas. Lastly, there is no shame if AEW follow/copy the WWE model of 2 main roster and a developmental brand.
Being a heel is easier than babyface, its easy to make ppl mad than love you.
For me it's the Cody lack of continuity after beaten by MJF.
The built was extremely good plus the drama leading up to it. But then afterwards he just gone and do sth else.
Whilst both MJF and Cody never even interact at all
That thumbnail😂
I liked AEW when it started and still do. Personally, I liked the homegrown talent better than the WWE hires.
Tony Khan just loves Moxley 😂
Wcw 2.0
Another crack right now is the lucha bros conflict. Everyone saying the lucha bros got a contract for wwe but the lucha bros themselves, in fact penta tweeted that those rumors are false but yet every wrestling “news” are still sticking with the wwe story
Even if they did, Tony would do what he could to prevent that from happening
Dr chris featherstone tweet “The alleged excuse that Tony Khan found out about Lucha Brothers [being] in talks with WWE is 'fake news,' and the real reason [will be] revealed."
Mjf heel turn and Adam cole reverse to face is example of poor creative direction by Tony khan led to this situation
To many wrestlers not enough stars
Collision wa s bad idea from the start but Rampage could've worked if it treated itself as a B show i.e. only focus on guys barely on TV at the time. i mean if you have a bloated roster might as well use guys who aren't being used 1 or two might catch fire plus it's only an hour so not like you're wasting that much time
He had the million dollar future with Wardlow but he fumbled it
he needs a real booker and not going what's hot in the moment.
RJ City is apart of AEW creative? That’s legit news to me. I thought he just did interviews.
Tony khan picked some wrong guys from Wwe , he should pick AJ Styles instead.
Where did the fans go? Have you actually watched it 😂
Christian cage is the only one that im tuning aew.
So if you book Roderick Strong and his cronies as your main star your going to struggle.
I would only have the World , TNT, & Tag titles & I would put the being the elite title on television where whoever the bte champion is gets to pick a game that isn't wrestling to defend the title in the gimmick would get over
Your video was reasonable until the end when you spoke about aews fimancials without seeming to have any information to base that on
Thanks for CM Punk
If I was the owner of aew I shutdown the company for good 😅
They went away with the millions of viewers that got sick of watching this same crap for years with WWE.
An Allan Iverson joint.
AEW easily has 5 of the top 10 wrestlers on the planet Osprey, Omega, Swerve, Bryant, and Okada...and STILL can't give us a decent product smh
I loved old aew
Other reasons AEW is starting to get down hill is using the same wrestlers over and over again and wheres Miro that bulgerian brute wheres wardlow
I think moxley is what killed aew for me he's so damn boring.
its* "it's" means it is. It is way makes no sense.
Have a good day.
thanks lol
who cares about the CMLL Guys? AEW sucks really bad nowadays. The Moxley-Storyline is boring AF and TK lives in Fantasyland with his stupid booking. MJF is maybe the only highligt they have and he is not even arround. AEW sucks.
Trust fund Tony is cringe
i dont think its all tony khan
cause the champions are supposed to help the booking so i think its the champions
for example when julia hart was tbs champ she was 22 and didnt know how to lead she was a very good fighting champion but lost it due to inability of being able to lead
it has nothing to do with any of the talent. they are doing what they are told. TK has the final call on everything.
