I think modeling in blender and converting it into MagicalVoxel is an interesting idea to save time and create complicated structures. I've done this in Minecraft, but not sure if it's possible with this. I also think it would be nice to be able to build structures the way you do it in Minecraft, just with the smaller blocks. One big difference with Teardown compared to Minecraft besides the smaller blocks is that the blocks can have any kind of orientation. I guess a dedicated converter should ideally allow this so the structures you model in blender can have angled surfaces.
Forgot to say instead of opening ref and having the each row so you can see which is which material You can click the arrow next to each colour pallet at the top left and it says which is which, that will save a lot of space and is easier
You are uploading tutorials faster then I can watch them lol Thanks so much Thanks for the heart btw I edited it as you gave the comment a heart so it disappeared but thanks
Instead of having to take a snip of the material you can literally just click the arrow above the pallet in magical voxel. That should be obvious as the screenshot itself is obviously from magical voxel.
hey umm maybe i did it wrong but its not working for me i cant make any thing there are no brush settings for me maybe sense this is an older tutorial this doesn't work any more what ever it is i can seem to fix that but i know there is a way but I don't know if I can do it.
whenever i try to import the code, the vox file for "basic" is mostly just question marks and random characters. i set the file to utf-8 but it still isn't working. can anyone help me?
tf you mean by a manual, bub?! there are tutorials all over the web (some better, some worse), just google it... or on the MV homepage, there are links to "resources"... there's also a wiki, but... you'll see
Thanks for the video. Learned some new stuff. But when it comes to the color palette just click the small arrow in the top left corner and it will show the names of the materials next to the colours within MagicaVoxel. No need for screenshots and 3th party programs ;-)
I'll finally be able to mess around in my terranigma 1:1 voxel fanarts! Thank you so much! I just have one curious question though.. how long is one meter in voxels in the game?
This stuff should already be in the editor especially the stuff made by the game developers the fact that it isn’t is annoying that they have to over complicate things so much nowadays
hey man i was wondering if i could chat w you about making a map if you were up for it! dm me on twitter if youd want too, i will try to make it worthwhile for you
Bro I just wanted to make somthing on teardown but your hiring me with like 50 websites and 30 of witch I cant even find man can you just give me the link to the teardown create page plz so I can get this dumb palette
follow the link to my google drive in the description for shaders, download the folder itself, find your magicavoxel folder and drag and drop the shaders folder to copy and replace the prexisting shaders that are in that folder. Disclaimer: Make sure you are running the newest version of magicavoxel and that if you are using a MAC OS, I heard there are some problems with the shaders not working and i unfortunately cannot help with that.
Theres a button in the palette tab, the arrow at the top left, click that and you get all the material names. You do not need any third-party thing to memorise the materials. Its even highlighted in a red dotted line in the picture for gods sake.
Bruh you didn't even read the tutorial yourself lol.. you even show the part that says to hit the left arrow on the palette to show the names, but still use pureref to show you the names...
i dont either lol. If you search up "Teardown Community Discord" on google you can probably join their server where the players know more than me. Basically you need to know how to code to add features such as doors.
Just subbed, I'm looking into creating my own teardown maps. I like ur chilled attitude and useful tips.

I am thinking of starting a community project of 'City 17' and see how It goes.

Ah yess half life 2
It's me Gordon, Barney from Black Mesa!

You are uploading tutorials faster then I can watch them lol
Thanks so much
Thanks for the heart btw I edited it as you gave the comment a heart so it disappeared but thanks
For positioning you can load them all at the same position and then use the teardown editor to get exact placement
How do you import the props into Teardown editor?
Instead of having to take a snip of the material you can literally just click the arrow above the pallet in magical voxel. That should be obvious as the screenshot itself is obviously from magical voxel.
Teardown create doesnt exist anymore, i typed in the url and it just said 404 not found
*_teardowngameDOTcomSLASHmoddingSLASH_* (works for me fine)

Cant get to teardown create, doesnt show up when i search for it
I'll finally be able to mess around in my terranigma 1:1 voxel fanarts! Thank you so much! I just have one curious question though.. how long is one meter in voxels in the game?
1 meter is 10 voxels, i.e. one voxel is 10cm in each dimension.
i need a link to teardown create i cant find it
it would be nice if there are some links in the descriptoin were to instal the programs you used
\
why not make one chair and use the game editor to place more of the same ?
i dont have the create folder in the Teardown folder

I doubt youll see this, but can you make an updated version? thx
I don't have the thing where i have to copy the thing
This stuff should already be in the editor especially the stuff made by the game developers the fact that it isn’t is annoying that they have to over complicate things so much nowadays
@fowleri well obviously it did exist, what else would he make a tutorial for it
@fowleri well that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a way to get it previously to the December release
They have made several tutorials. There was a whole 7 or 8 made around 2-ish years ago, and around 6 or so made about 4 years ago.
I cannot find the palette.. Does anyone know where it can be found?
It doesent exist anymore, if you type the url it gives you a 404 error
for some reason only one of the five objects i have made are appearing in the level
