Good catch! There should have been a trump suit set for the round. In my example; I was focusing on the wizards and jesters. So, a player must follow suit if they can, or they can play a wizard or jester card regardless of whether or not they can follow suit. If a player cannot follow suit, they can play any card. At the end of the trick, the highest card in the lead suit, the highest trump card, or the Wizard takes the trick.
This game is tight. Thanks for the teach!

Why was there no trump card in the fourth round example?
