If you look southeastwards through the treeline when you are at the Bukit Batok Memorial Park, Hotel Fairmont and Raffles City stands directly in the middle. A reminder of the proximity and direction to the heart of where the country was at that time of war.

Hi Richard, and Nini. Just got to say that I just love my Saturday mornings watching your videos around Singapore. I live in Perth WA, and have many friends in Singapore with in the Blues music, due too many visits that I have done over the years. I also must say that next time I visit (when we can) I seem to have a list as long as my leg, of places to visit, thanks to yourself. Many thanks for the time you take with your videos, and all the history information that you put in. Cheers.

If you like durian, Mr Kho in Bukit Batok is the man to see. Not sure if he's still around. About 10 years ago, I heard through hardwarezone of this guy in BB selling amazing durian. I would travel from the east out there just to buy his stuff. He was on to MSW before it became a mainstream thing. Back then it was cheap. $11 per kg. I would buy for familiy gatherings and parties and everyone went nuts for it. My only connection with BB, but a great memory. Stay safe! Keep doing what you do. Bless!

Hey Richard, if you haven't found out already. The radio picked up by your mic is a known issue with certain amps and cables (your cable act like an antenna and the amp just picks up radio frequency that are on same band). Try changing cable for shorter one or different amp frequency

Hi Richard, The radio tower behind you at 11:40 is used to broadcast FM radio by mediacorp. Maybe thats why the stronger signal gets easily picked up by your equipment in the area.

Haha. Do you know the steps is one of my training ground (the others are Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Dairy Farm)?
And the Synon Temple one memorial is for Japanese the other is for all others. The other one is hidden away in the forest but if you search online, wow if the temple can be kept in condition without being destroyed.

Try this. The junction of Bukit Batok East Ave 5 & Bukit Batok East Ave 4. There is a hawkers centre in Block 273. You walk up the steps and it's on your left. Hope that helps.
