I don't get it. I am so used to american comics that it's hard for me to understand, this guy tells stories with no punchlines! I guess Quebecers* like this style of standup. In the US you don't make it as a standup comedian if you don't make the audience laugh every 7 seconds. Thats probably why US comics are so rich...
if you understood french you would notice there is a punchline and laugh every 3 seconds.... (also, jean-Marc is known to be a great storyteller, not a stand-up comic)

His thing is to share his personal experiences (with some embellishments to make it funnier for the audience.) I watched many American comedians, and I rarely laughed every 7 seconds to any of them... To each his own I guess.
