Great video and I love the mods to the HexPeak. I have a love hate (not quite hate) relationship with the HexPeak. Love the space, height and weight of it, but it can be immensely frustrating to pitch...correctly. Could you please record a 'how-to' video for the mods you made, how you made them, dimensions, materials, and the pitching? That would be epic!
Thank you very much Sir Kev.. it's a good tent, not too heavy and offers lots of space. I've got a couple more thoughts to improve it - well I think they're improvements, so hopefully a little more to come. 😎

Obviously I'm athletic with amazing strength and driven.. I also take my my time and almost die climbing them there hills. You certainly can have night sky lapse but only if the sky (and stars) are not obscured by those beastly clouds.. ✨

Hi there. I can't find the link but I'm sure they're off Amazon. USB string of lights about 5 meters long. Came in a small white bag which could double as a small light with the led string wrapped up inside. 👍👍👍😎

Morning Stuart. It is Loch Goil - a beautiful part of the world... I think at 6' 6" and on a sleeping mat, you're going to be uncomfortable in there.. but only just.. Fully stretched I think either your head and/or your feet are going to be pressed against the inner. 🤷.. I think Novice Wildcamper is a big lad, maybe he has some experience in varying tents in his video collection. Cheers Stuart. 👍

Excellent mate, really enjoyed that - what a beautiful wee spot for a camp! I had a laugh to myself when you've brought the hexpeak along but proceed to sit under a tarp 😂 Anyway, I'm very interested in they mods - I've got something similar for opening the door, but hadn't considered tying it off at the top - really neat and tidy so I'll have to steal that! Now for the nitty gritty; do you have measurements for the bungee cords and what did you do (if anything) to hold the corners at 90degrees?

I like that tent but I wonder if it's long enough for my 6'6" frame. Was that Loch Goil you camped beside?

Morning Max. Aye 3mm. I'm out this weekend in the Hexpeak. If I remember I'll drop the inner so the shock-cord can be clearly seen. 👍👍👍👍
