Sangeetha Kalanidhi Aruna Sairam is one of the popular Carnatic singers and vocalists in India. She was trained by Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. T. Brinda in the style of Veena Dhanammal. As of now, she has recorded over 50 records and she is the first Carnatic musician to perform at the BBC proms in London and the Oud Festival of Israel (Jerusalem). She is also the Vice-Chairman of Sangeet Natak Academy which is India’s premier national institution for music and dance. She is honoured with many national and international awards, including the US Congress Proclamation of Excellence (2008) and the Padma Shri (2009).

Aruna mam , I think it will be very educative and interesting to lay people also , if you could do a full fledged under the tittle ‘film music and it’s source from Carnatic raga ‘ . Within few songs you have a scored a lot mam . Very interesting to know how film music directors have composed tune , and handled very beautifully in film music with the background knowledge of Carnatic music . You are such a brave lady and very sweet lady to mingle easily

That's why.. addressing her like his classmate. Disrespectful. Keep nosing while she talks.
Addressing people in heights in their name is not disrespect. Their name is the their award. Like Ilayaraja ar Rehman modi etc. So not right to find fault on this common man's like interview. But since Aruna is an artist she adds prefix to all legends. We even call god in singular. Our intention is important not the words or action.

Mr Chandrasekhar continues the ridiculous question in this part as well. He refers to the legendary singer, P Suseela in a rather uncouth manner. In contrast, Smt. Aruna does a masterful job of showing how to show respect by referring to her as "Suseelamma". In response to the stupid question about why you are not talking social issues, I don't think anyone can give as fitting a reply as Smt. Aruna did -- it was the most sophisticated slipper-hits one can imagine. This series (with the exception of Part 2) involved one of the worst interviewer's squandering the precious opportunity using one stupid question after another. What a dweeb.
A Casual Reference by the Interviewer - Matriarch Gana Saraswathi P Susheelaji deserved much more than that. Glad Arunaji handled it with such sophistication and poise....
