Youre right, i was once puking on the street on Oktoberfest and went to rest against the wall for a little way (left everything on my backpack at the event before, i was at last responsible in that) the police came to me and told me to walk to see if i could be on my own, really helpful, police are straight up useless and a waste of tax money on to basically a gang in Peru

The most unbelievable part about this is random German people speaking English near Weinheim, especially back then.
Actually it is very believable.
They are not random Germans. They are German Police Officers. They have to deal with American military alot. So them knowing English is very believable.

That's not true. The season takes place in the late 80s, early 90s, right? Back then English was already a mandatory class in school. That's the case since after WW2. So it's believeable that young and middle-aged people Sheldon meets speak English.

I was stationed in Germany around the same time this took place. I liked to ride around the country on trains just Sheldon but I was smart enough to not leave the train.

Mary wasn’t nearly mad enough at Missy for waiting hours before telling her that Sheldon was stranded and possibly in danger. Yeah, Sheldon being stranded was his own fault, but he tried calling Missy for help and she ignored him.

You have to admit to the series creators that at least they didn't just "roll out" the federal state's coat of arms on the uniform at random. Weinheim is located in the north of Baden-Württemberg. There are 17! 16 for the states, one for the federal government.

Conductors in trains usually have a strong dialect even for Germans hard to understand. No way they could communicate with Sheldon.

As a german myself, it's pretty embarassing and disappointing how they picture german landscapes and the police back in the 80s. Pretty unrealistic. The accent is horrible and those cops look like soldieres from 1944 instead of real cops. Those scenes are a shame. Really bad work. Cops looked totally different in germany in the 80s
