I'm in the mood for a little rant.
why do they sell a broken backpack?
Honestly, a hole in the bottom… ? what if I drop a backpack on wet ground? it gets wet from the outside. what if I drop a backpack with a hole in the bottom on wet ground? you guessed right, it gets wet on the inside…
So, why the hole? For drainage! aha. So, if my water bladder leaks, it will not just wet everything inside but also everything in my vicinity, oh what a great idea. shower time!
We see the bifi principle at work - bifi meaning made "by idiots, for idiots". Broken.
On a lighter note, Camelbak shows: Molle gear, despite it's name, does not have to be heavy. ;-) But I assume they won't sell many of these: cause idiots who like to have holes in their backpacks usually want 1000denier Cordura AT LEAST, because everything else "does not stand the test of time" yea right.
that was reliefing, nothing better than a good rant. thx for the upload!

You have to be a idiot to not understand that where the bladder goes it’s sealed and water proof f so it will not get your other stuff wet.

If the bag is immersed in water then the hole allows water to drain more easily. It sounds to me like you’ve never done a basic river crossing and have no idea how to keep kit dry in the field. A Soldier will keep everything inside the rucksack in dry bags, the fact you don’t know this tells me you’re the real idiot here.
Bladders can leak on rare occasions, but you should keep your equipment in good condition, I’m guessing that you’re the kind of person who can’t.
It amuses me when idiots like you think they’re smart enough to pass comment on things you clearly know nothing about.
