Cool: I always liked painting with Dark Angels green. Not that I actually play 40k myself, but if I did, I would totally play as Imperial Guard: the idea that a bunch of normal guys trying to get through another day in the worst universe ever is just amusing to think about 😂
We’re just started in 10th edition and the time of the tyranid is now! It’s a lot simpler a ruleset than 9th edition. Honestly there’s no better time than to be a tyranid player! I hope you enjoy painting. This has been a wonderful video.

Been loving the 40K content so much! There is no other franchise with such reverence for the lore, except for MAYBE Battletech/Mechwarrior, but that’s a big maybe.
Ehh, I mean, retconning the lore is a regular tradition in 40k (for example, the Dark Angels used to have a Native American influence, but that was retconned many years ago), so it depends on what you mean. Also, all of the lore has a big asterisk of "from a certain point of view" on it, often the way characters or groups are depicted in different novels will be very different. I would recomment people diving more into the VIBES and the aesthetics of the setting, than the nitty-gritty details, which are always subject to change.

@@Viper1Zero Totally agree, Legion was the last expansion that I personally actually enjoyed, I have tried quitting during the years after that but usually miss it too much after half a year to a year and fall back 😅 Having that nostalgic classic gameplay whenever there is time or energy to game is wonderful! Im really picky about my ASMR voices but yours is exquisite 👌 Also, KillTeam is a good way to get started with 40k without having to learn too many rules or drop a lot of money on models before you can play. It's a great hobby, the social aspect is a huge draw for me. Some of the hobby spaces can be quite toxic, but there's also positive communities out there too. Also, my son loves Tyranids too!
