Hi Julie! Lourdes - retired and from Las Vegas. I enjoyed watching you and ended up learning to make wreaths. Thank you for your learning technique. Teaching a bored and retired person in our association because of all you.
Wonderful! I'm so used to wiring everything, I've never thought of zip ties; I'll be buying a pack for sure! I have a suggestion for the middle that you made that will save a step. Instead of adding the wire to the back with hot glue and felt after it's finished, I bent the wire into a flat U shape and poked it through from front to back before adding the moss. If you're worried that you might pull it too hard and rip through the foam, you can put a piece of duct tape on the foam before poking through to stabilize it. Thanks!
I like the zip tie method here. My friend adores sunflowers. I think I will surprise her with this sunflower you made here. ❤️ I am a wreath maker. I make half bubble/ half bundles of deco mesh wreaths. I have sold them.
Julie I am watching your sun flower tutorial so I can make one to sell. I already made several but for my family. So I am watching for a refreshment for the wreath.
Hi I am watching the re-play. This is the third type of wreath you have made and I love the way they all have turned out. I hope I can learn to make these. I have made wreaths with the mesh, but not like this. Thank you for sharing.
I’m in central Canada province of Manitoba which is above your state of North Dakota and right in sunflower country. I sure want to make this wreath. Thanks for explaining everything for me a very novice crafter
Julie I love your flowers, they are beautiful. I was wondering if you could do this on a 8 inch frame with just one roll of 10 inch poly burlap, would that be enough do you think?
Hi I'm June. I live in Spokane WA. I like the poly burlap over the mesh. I absolutely love this sunflower !!! I am a wreath maker. I've made several. I have an Easter one in the making. It just needs a bird CarolTolson style. I love her birds and am almost through with my second one. This is my first easter wreath. I have a spring one that I just added a easter garland to. I'm planning on making one for Christmas I love the fall colors and the harvest, but I'm not into the scary stuff either. A wreath on my door or a colorful bouquet is as close as I get to decorating. I've seen some awesome glammed up pumpkins which I'm going to try. It's Feb 4th of 2020 and poly burlap is available now. The yellow was a little over $ 8.00 dollars.
What size is the mesh bc me and my mom is trying to male one with cows and sunflowers and we cut it before we thought of this method and we have 6 by 9 inch 9 inch long and 6 wide
I love this video and all of your videos. I do have a question, we live in Florida in a stilt home and we have Hurricane shutters on the windows which we leave on except for one in the lanai and 2 in the living room. I have made our lanai into my craft room. Is there a lot of smoke that comes off the Poly burlap and should I make sure I have good ventilation and or wear a mask? I have a ceiling fan and I can open up one window and I also have a table fan. I know you do not use deco mesh very often but I am assuming this would also pertain to deco mesh as well? Thank you so much for your help.Jackie
Hi Jackie, yes use a mask and opening a window is good too. It will put off a smell so if I had a window in my work area I would be opening it up as well. Thanks for watching!
HI Julie - II ordered materials per your suggestion. Dollar Tree sells 12" wreaths for $1.00 Since the yellow flower will be my first do I need to add more leaves. Also on any others , as all of my frames are 12"
Sorry, she answered both my previous posts :( sorry - what are you guys using for a piece of glass for cutting the burlap. Hate to spend a lot of $ on it... thanks
Try using a silicone mat...anything that won't melt. Think outside the box. Look around your house garage and see what you already had. That is what I did. I use a mat my husband had for soddering that he no longer uses .free to me
Hello dear Julie! Your work is so beautiful, I totally loved this sunflower and lots of the other flowers you have made. I was wondering what kind of burlap mesh you're using, we wanted to make a wreath for the fall, based on this beautiful sunflower you made, but all we have found so far is the synthetic burlap (poly mesh) and of course the natural. The problem with the poly mesh is that when we cut it, it does not keep the square shape and then the ends look different. Thank you in advance :)
Where do you get wood burner tool and what kind? I am brand new and not sure where to get these things. Also, what did you have underneath when you used wood burner.
I used deco poly burlap mesh and it really frayed and I don't now why. I thought It didn't fray can you helpme understand why? I would really appreciate it it you can. Thank you.
I like the 10” size from consumer crafts, it’s stronger than what you would get from DT. If you do use the DT frame it will need quite a bit more materials as well. Consumer will run free shipping sales so just keep an eye on that, that is also where I like to get my canvas mesh too.
FANTASTIC IDEA!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!
This method seems so ideal to me. I love the way the petals lay and how neat the finish is.
❤ I love love LOVE it!! So beautiful. I do like the bigger center.
The flowers wreaths are beautiful can't wait for the stuff to get here to make my first purple wreath

Love this sunflower!! I have a zip tie gun and love it. I bought it at Harbor Freight. You have to put the gun on the zip tie on the side of it.
Love the moss mat idea.

HI Julie - II ordered materials per your suggestion. Dollar Tree sells 12" wreaths for $1.00 Since the yellow flower will be my first do I need to add more leaves. Also on any others , as all of my frames are 12"
The bigger the frame the more mesh you will need. The size of the cuts will stay the same though.

I use poly burlap mesh, it’s not a deco and will hold it shape very well. Thank you for watching!
agreed - I was wondering if using a wood burner to cut the edges would seal them and keep them from freying - anyone out there know?

Your wreaths are beautiful do you sell the videos on how to make them
I purchased a few things off of your Amazon page. I have picked up some poly burlap. And the cutters. I don’t find the website to buy the wire frames.

Good evening from Springfield, Colorado,I live in the southeastern part of Colorado
Love it making mine this week 🌻
Pretty smart! And very cool!
Love it. Is all the material you used water proof. And do you know of a spray that will protect from the sun.
You can use the rust oleum clear acrylic matte spray. Thanks for watching!
That is so creative
First time watching. Hi from Brampton Ontario Canada. Love this going to try to make this. Tfs ☺
Love the moss center you made! ♡
Love if you could say the burlap colour, great work
Would you recommend a sturdy wreath frame or can I use a dollar tree one? Is there a specific reason for yours from consumer crafts?
I like the 10” size from consumer crafts, it’s stronger than what you would get from DT. If you do use the DT frame it will need quite a bit more materials as well. Consumer will run free shipping sales so just keep an eye on that, that is also where I like to get my canvas mesh too.
I love it ❤️❤️. Thank you
Why do you use different methods for attaching the center ring? (As seen in multiple flower wreaths by you)
Stunning! Thank you from Illinois.
Your source for wood burner?
beautifully made
It’s beautiful
