Excellent tutorial. I have been cutting my own hair for years.
Today for the first time I cut the back of my head hair short! Turned out great. All gray now at 70yrs. Young. 🤗

I LOVE this. First time I’ve seen pivot point movement in cutting hair since I learned. I wish you could cut my hair, your really an artist at it! I’m teaching my husband how to do this as he’s the only one I will trust right now. I have the mannequin to teach him so fingers crossed! Your a great teacher at cutting hair also. I've been cutting my own hair for over 40 years. Now my arthritis is to bad and it takes me a week to finish. Omg. I do the top and sides. Then the back last. My hair is thicker in the back and it hurts so bad to keep my arms raised. If I could get out I would go pay someone trust worthy. The last time I did go the guy hardly did anything. For $30. I wish I had someone to come to my house. Like him.

Jacquita Heidler I cut my own hair also but I know what you mean about finding someone that actually KNOWS how to cut hair! I’m lucky as I taught hubby how to cut the back of mine. If you get lost in cutting remember if you cut one inch , then if you lose your guide you know that it’s one inch. My arms get tired too.

I agree what I loved about this is a clear well-appointed voice over! The first class job also the cut especially sectioning and fresh approach to using our guides and as I was told oh dome 35 years ago by my boss & mentor Teasie Weasie .keep the big picture in your minds eye! Love this cut! I couldn't stop watching although I had much to do at home. I cut hair for years and was taught using precision methods. It's been difficult to find someone these days that don't free form the cut. The result is good most of the time, but it's hard for me to sit there and wonder how they were trained. I wish I could cut my own hair!

@@oneofthosecreativetypes24 It turned out pretty OK (LOL). For a coronavirus pandemic situation, it's not a bad look. I ended up using my epilator on the clippers setting as cutting with scissors back there proved especially difficult. I just buzzed the back part and the bottom a bit. I had a shaggy pixie before and now it's more of a short, gatsby-style bob. I have some short little bangs in the front too which are kinda cute, but I think I'll just grow them out (using a barrette for now works though!). Thanks for asking!! Did you cut yours yet?

it will, but you need to remember that it will take a lot of styling to keep it smooth, and this will actually add a lot of weight to your hair. you might come out looking like a salad bowl head.
