@@YoungCoconuttt theres a vid on youtube where mac explains how he kinda interpolated an 80's (?) japanese musician's song to make chamber of reflections

Calling jid 1 note/speed is crazy to me. I’ve been following jid since DiCaprio 1 and it’s crazy how many styles he has. He can sing, slow down into r&b, he can do modern rap style, boom bap, trap. He’s is one of the most versatile and creative rap artists I’ve ever listened to. Never story was mostly standard rap but every other project he’s put out has been a verity of his many styles. He’s prob the best artist to blow up in the rap scene over the last 6 years.
Don’t mean to sound like I’m meat riding but I’ve been getting bored of rap over the past 2-3 years due to the inflation of juice, uzi, carti, durk clones and besides Kanye and Kendrick, he’s the only other artist to make me actually excited to listen to a new rap album. He dropped aoty.
Agree bro, I knew a few JID songs and I liked them but for some reason I wasn’t drawn in. He finally clicked for me like a month before the Forever Story with DiCaprio 2. And when TFS dropped and I was in the right mindset for it and it has been my AOTY since first listen. I think its just about getting familiar with the artist, kinda like an acquired taste but once you get the acquired taste you don’t understand how you were sleeping for so long.

Man, Graydon was on fire today! Just like those kids from that orphanage that burned down on November 15th 1964 in Valentine, Nebraska (and let me tell you, I had a solid alibi).
One of the things I love about Hivemind is all the music recommendations they give-I’ve listened to so many new artists thanks to them! Can’t wait to check out this Drake guy. I hear he’s bound to break out from the underground rap scene! 👍
