Mam bali 6 yrs na kami ni live in partner and requirments na ko sa working visa pina fill apan sakin ng immig consultant ung sa family application about sa common law partner pero hnd pa nmn sya sasama sakin kung maapproved ako, binigyan ulit ako requirment para sa CLP , nag rerenta kami ng bahay 3 years na and ang binigay samin ng landlord a residency tenants agrement 2023 pa kami umuupa dun nasamin prin lumana pwede kaya ipabago un at ilagay ung name nming dalawa baka kc mag taka ung immigration bakit bago ung papers, pwede kaya un kc ang naka lagay lng kc sa contract ay ung name ni live in partner and sa mga resibo , wala kami joint bank acct ,

What we used
Notarized IMM 5409
Insurance certificates indicating that we are dependents of each other
Joint bank account certificate
Certificate of Residency
Affidavit of co-habitation
Notarized Attestation of Relationship

Hi sa insurance po okay lang po ba na isa lang may insurance tas benificiary mo si partner. Or need may tag isang insurance kayo then benificiary nyo isat isa?

Correction! Common law partnership here in Canada is like live-in partnership in the Philippines.....and you cant call each other husband or wife. Just simply call each other ur partner!
we never called ourselves husband and wife. We call ourselves spouse. But thank you for your effort to correct.

You’re welcome! We didnt have a “presentation” per se. We just put some photos in a word document and convertefd it to pdf file to save some space :)

Sir Mark & Mam HD. dba po nag depo po kayo ng 14,500 CAD sa GIC. need parin po ba yung PROOF OF FUNDS na may matitirang laman parin po yung sa BANKO nyo po na savings?
Hi, mas okay if may mapakita na meron kang funds sa Pinas kasi yung GIC is for the expenses here sa Canada. Di pa kasama pocket money, flight etc. And more chances of approval kung super okay yung funds mo.

Yes, sabay kami nagapply ng SP and OWP at sabay pumunta dito as common law.

Hello, right now my partner (CA citizen) and I have been living together for 3 years now but in Japan, we both hold working visas here. We are planning on getting married in 2023 but want to do it Canada. Can he sponsor me a PR and then once I'm in CA, we'll get married there? And do I need to inform IRCC that from common-law, I have already become the wife of my partner?
Hi Arielle! Did you mean Canadian citizen? If yes, he can sponsor you as his common law partner and get married here. Once your married, you can just updated your status and other personal info via IRCC and other govt agencies here.
another question pa ho mam/sir. regarding sa prof of funds 10k cad for student and 4k cad for the open work permit. yan lng po ba required amount for bank statement? how about the 1 year tuition ni student? hindi na po hanapin?
Hi, the 10k cad + 4k cad is for our GIC pa lang. Iba pa yung pinakita sa bank statement. For the tuition, we showed that we already paid for it.
Hello po, my tanong lang po ako, nag lodge po ako Nov 2021, si SP ko nauna na po ng May 2021. Gang ngayon po wala pa feedback sa application. Eto po tanong, redflag po ba sa CLP statutory decleration yung fill up po ng form ay dapat 2012-present but yung nalagay namen ay kung kelan kami nag fill-up?!. Tapos yung declaration po namen ay kung kelan kami ngstart mag partner, hindi po yung kung kelan nagstart mag living in?!. Salamat po sa sagot.
Hi Nampi, for the Statutory of Declaration form, it should be indicated when kayo naging CLP aka lived together. You can update the form with the correct one and send it via webform or email para sigurado.
paano kung ang lalaki po ang kasal pero hiwalay na siLa ng ex nya?
Hello po, not sure about this pero baka makatulong na may maipakita kayong documents na separated na kayo or afidavit from your ex to state yung situation nyo. And also, more proof of relationship sa current nyong partner :)

not sure po as we are in canada and not in taiwan. But maybe you can check with your bank for direct remittance :)
Sir and mam i just watched your video, me and my gf are planning to go there in canada, ang problema lang namin eh wala kaming proof na nag live in pero 3 years na po kami,pero may mga pics po kami na kaya mag proof na were in a real realationship, like picture ng family nya kasama ako vice versa po ano pa kaya magandang gawin thankyou so much po sana mapansin.
Picture po doesn't matter, need nila ng proof ng 1 yr living in the same address. ID, brgy certificate, credit card bills etc na same kayo ng address. nothing else po.
Same case po . 🥲 7yrs na po kami mag bf/gf pero hndi pa po kami mgsasama sa iisang bubong wala din po kaming id's na same address
balak ko po papalitan ilang ids ng address makkta po ba nila yun if ever na months palang po sya napalitan

Hello Lovely! I think it is still better to have one set up kasi the financial aspect of being common law partners is critical.

Hi! We submitted the same proof of clp requirements in our first application for sp and owp application. With regards to the extension application, can we still use the same clp requirements as proof of clp or do we need new and updated forms here in Canada?
I think basta updated at valid pa, you can reuse it. Except sa mga clearance like police or NBI since 6 months lang ata validity nun. In any case, basta valid pa, its safe to use.

Mas better if under CLP but then minimum there is 1 year na nagasama kayo sa isang bahay, better yet, get married.
Magandang buhay what if Hindi Ka pa po PR but you have permanent employment contract pwede mo po ba sponsor ang common law partner mo para makapunta sa CAnada
I believe Canadian PR and citizens lang pwede magsponsor.

What if your CLP is just a high school graduate or vocational course graduate, is it accepted to accompany the international student?
As far as I know, yes. Ang question lang sa CLP is dapat mameet mo yung minimum requirement nila na naglive kayo in 1 roof for a year and your relationship is genuine.

2. IDs nyo with the same address - includes police clearance and NBI clearance

Hi Karl, according to the IRCC, a permanent resident may apply to sponsor a common-law partner to Canada. You simply have to prove you have been living with your Common-Law Partner for at least 12 consecutive months in a relationship like a marriage.

if you can explain clearly why you guys changed your mind and decided na magaapply kna din, I think its fine. just make sure you meet all the requirements and explain clearly ang reasoning behind why hnd kasama si spouse during 1st apply.

Yes, same sex is legal in canada and you can apply as common law as far as i know. Im not sure if work permit holder can sponsor you, maybe in financial or accommodation

DIY applies to all pathway po. It can be SDS or Regular stream. Regular stream is the pathway na hnd na need ng GIC at IELTS.

Hi thats a good plan. Once you are PR na and married, it would be easier for your spouse to apply for express entry. Main document would be your marriage certificate :)

Hi Chad, I think dapat Common Law yung status especially if yung isasama mo sa Canada is your common law partner. To be sure, you can confirm with an immigration consultant :)

Hi, hindi naman. For NBI and police clearance we got those a month before we lodged kasi may validity timeframe sya - should be still valid the time you submit application.

It can be approved naman as there are those na nagsshift talaga ng field or career. Just make sure to mention why you’re changing careers in your Statement of Purpose.

Yes you can include that :) If you have big purchases too na nakapangalan sa inyo and nakaaddress sa inyo that would help too. Also, joint properties and bank account.

If you have an open work permit, you can tell them honestly po na youre looking for work. If tourist naman, never say na naghahanap ka ng work since you’re not allowed to work under tourist visa.

February or march po lodging namen ng CLP ko for sept 2022 intake.

Hi Carlo. We were on the same timeline as you are now. Feb/march lodge date for sept intake. By this time last year, hnd pa kami nakakapagpnotarize ng mga docs. We did it on january, but the earlier the better para hnd magahol so I would advise u to do that maybe by mid december :)

I think its okay, but hassle siguro afterwards to update your info once lodged na. Just make sure that whatever you send during application is the most updated information, then update again if necessary. :) hope this helps.

Hi, I think it better to submit all documents after getting married especially if magbabago ng name yung application. If it’s the groom naman, need to update the civil status first if all docs before submission.

Hi Kim! Since PR ka na, you can sponsor your partner going to Canada. Similar requirements din ipapakita for proof of CLP same sex or not. And then as a sponsor, need mo din iprepare ang documents mo.

Hi, we wouldnt recommend to lie on your letter of intent and other documents. There are applicants na na-refuse and got banned for entering Canada for lying and misrepresentation.

Yes, main proof should be rental/lease agreement with both your names as evidence na you lived together for at least a year. Next to this is yung financial documents like join account, big purchases ninyong dalawa (ex. Car, appliances, gadgets)

1 year po ang minimum as per IRCC. Live another 4 months together and that should be fine. D po need na continous 1 year, basta 1 year within the last 5 years ata.

Macoconsider. Ang minimum na time na nagsama kayo should be 1 year, doesnt have to be continuous, but should be at least 1 year :)

Hi, we don’t have an affidavit of cohabitation kasi yun na yung Statutory Declaration of Common Law Partnership - form provided by IRCC na need ipanotarize.

Hi, main requirement for the CLP application is at least 1 years of living together. So even if couples have been together for a lot years, if they do not meet this requirement, it will be a factor for refusal.

Hi Jenny. I think it should be enough. In our case kasi, we provided GIC of 14k + 1 year of paid tuition. But I guess that should be enough. Depende nlng kung pano mo madedefend at maexplain sa SOP :)

My partner is currently working in Canada as a Nursery and Greenhouse Worker and I’m in the Philippines together with our 5yo son. We are in a Common-Law relationship. We have a Affidavit of Cohabitation.
Would like to know the process for IMM 5409. Do we need to notarized this form? Where? Who? Is he the one who notarized our Affidavit of Cohabitation?
Do I also need to have my Police Clearance?

1. IMM 5409 - just fill it up and have it notarized sa pinakamalapit na public notary sa lugar ninyo.
2. Police Clearance - Yes it is a requirement. Just make sure you and your partner have the same address reflected in the clearance.

We only did digital signature :) pero in case you need dirty signature, maybe you can ship the documents from ca to ph :)
