Hey Smitty! Thanks for checking out this song and for another great Rory reaction - this is an amazing live version. Rory's band at this time was Wilgar Campbell on drums and Gerry McAvoy on bass (who played with Rory for over 20 years). Rory and Gerry had a tight musical connection from the beginning. Whether you react to it or listen on your own, I highly recommend the version of "Just A Little Bit", live at My Father's Place, 1974 (saw him there in '78). IMO, this performance is on another level, the band is incendiary, on the verge of total musical mayhem - and shows why Rory truly was beyond compare. I know it's presumptuous, but trust me on this one, Smitty: th-cam.com/video/z9aefl3Ho6I/w-d-xo.html
@@thomasmccafferty8516 There you are, Thomas! Hope you're well. Yeah, this one is pretty hard to beat. They were playing like a single full-tilt musical organism with Rory busting through the stratosphere. I think My Father's Place really suited Rory - he always killed it there.
I have left this comment elsewhere, but Rory Gallagher was the guitar player through the seventies that Eric Clapton should have been. If you like Rory's slide work (and what's not to like), try the live version of " Who's That Coming " from the Irish Tour album.
