I believe that flamenco in many ways is a unique combination of tenderness and brutal loudness. And feeling it, mastering it is another unique ability. And the fact that you achieved it makes me admire your playing. This is beautiful, Luciano. Listening to it again an’ again. Thank you. Levon.
I've come to appreciate the use of the major scale sound in flamenco. I didn't care for it much initially, but it makes the darker moments and the loudness, as you put it, all the more impactful and compelling. And doesn't hurt to have a guy like Luciano pulling the strings, so to speak.
His other Vicente covers are just as nicely done. I don't see any reason the two of them shouldn't be in some sort of contact. Anybody who will devote themself to honoring your music and pull it off like this -- it'd be almost criminal to not reach out at some point. I'm sure he will at the appropriate time : )
