Here are the lenses in order: 1. 1:54 - Sigma 16mm F1.4 2. 3:19 - Sony 35mm F1.8 3. 4:33 - Sigma 30mm F1.4 4. 6:24 - Sony 85mm F1.8 5. 7:20 - SEL50 F1.8 You are welcome. :)
Love that you put the Sigma first, but I would still recommend the Sony 35 as the #1 must-have lens for most people. The Sigma 16 is a beautiful lens, but it's big, has no OSS and the wide angle can be tricky. When I'm taking out my a5100, I almost always choose the 35. To me, this is the perfect three lens collection: Sony 35 (portraits/general walk around ), Sigma 16 (wide angle/mountains), Sony 18-135 (travel)
16 mm is the most versatile, even with general stuff. And sharpness is much better than 35. The OSS is only a big issue if you're focused on videography and you're not using a gimbal. The Sony has slightly better autofocus. But the sharpness and wideness are far more important imo. The size may be a disadvantage for portability but allows you to have another place to grip your camera.
My dear friend, thank you so much for all your reviews!, Today my girlfriend and I got our first prime lens for our a6000 and it was a Sigma 30mm F 1.4 !! We are amazed of how good it is, if it wasn't for all your professional opinions we wouldn't make up our minds as we just did. Big fans over here in DR 🇩🇴!!
I went with the Samyang 12mm 2.0, Sigma 19mm 2.8, Sony 35mm 1.8 and Sony 50mm 1.8. Covers most situations pretty well and none of them is very expensive. I also have both kit zooms and the Sony 30mm macro and a few other fast manual lenses that are fun to play with.
The issue with this little Samyang gem is CA. Strangely enough, the more you stop down, the more CA you get. I don't mind manual focus and without exif reporting but the overwhelming CA is just annoying sometimes even you could somehow correct it in PP.
Long-in-the-tooth hobbyist dating back to my first SLR which was the Olympus OM-10 that boasted ISO25-1600 and shudder speeds up to 1/1000, so ANYTHING made today is a dream. Watched this episode at least 3x, read hundreds of reviews and was perplexed that you still kept the ultra light and short kit lens 3.5-5.6 16-50mm. Bought the f/1.8 35mm prime lens today for my A6300 and really like the speed and extra f/ stops in keeping with your review. Furthermore, I never found a “bad” review for the prime. My modestly critical eye noted that in an outdoor daylight setting I now see why you still like the small kit lens as it kept good pace with the prime lens and the 16-50mm zoom is handy. The kit lens does lag behind on dim lighting and focus speed is a bit slower but not by much. I’m keeping the kit lens too. Time will tell how I like being a two legged zoom lens with this prime but it can’t hurt getting more steps logged in for the day. Your reviews are outstanding and this review was a major factor on my latest purchase.
I have the 50mm 1.8 and just bought the 85mm 1.8, and I have to agree, the 85 is awesome even though it's designed for full frame. The creaminess of the bokeh and the overall sharpness is just awesome for portraits.
For a6000 users, 85mm f1.8 is pretty challenging to use since it has no ibis or oss. Hard to get the best out of the lens. I’d say 50mm f1.8 is a great cheaper alternative.
Perfectly explain. All stellar choices of primes. Alot of people think that there is no lenses for Sony Aps-c e-mount but they're wrong. There is a lot of great lenses as you mention and a ton more.
Hi, I own a 6300 and love your channel, the first thing I realized is I can understand you everything!, English is not my main language and I have some problem here and there always listening any review/podcast/film/movie whatever, sometimes I even can’t get any, seriously, that’s something very important :)
I did a video like this a few weeks ago now of my favorite 3 lenses. We have some similar taste in some of them! I also mentioned some other options for people if they weren't liking the ones that I gave them! Great video!
I have 4 of the 5 you mentioned and I am blaming you and your excellent videos for it!😀 On a recent vacation though, I mainly used the Zeiss 16-70mm just as an all around lens and the 16mm Sigma which fit well in a small camera bag. The worst part of the A system are the lousy batteries. They die quickly. I hope Sony does something about them before coming out with the A6700 that is rumored. I am mainly a Nikon FX guy but at my age, the lighter weight of these A cameras are nice!
I’ve had 4/5 of these lenses (except the sigma 30) and after using them, I’d recommend these. 1) Sigma 16 2) Either Sony 35 or Sigma 30 3) Neither the Sony 50 nor 85, get the Sigma 56 instead
Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8. It’s FE so more like 82.5mm. You might think you have a sharp lens until you try this. Beautiful colors, too. And silent, quick, light, great build. It has a reputation for a reason.
kinghuthegreat i agree with u currently im using a6300 and planning to buy this lens but this lens so expensive and i need to add stabilization too pls give me your opinion about it
Great video! I have the Sigma 16mm and it’s the only lens I use for my videos. I will probably get the Sony 35 next. I was torn between that and the Sigma 30mm but Im leaning towards the Sony 35 based on size alone.
Does the sigma 16mm have image stabilization? I have the a6000 and want to use this lense for video but I know the a6000 doesn't have image stabilization, plus I have no gimbal
This is great, we just got an A6500 and were looking at lenses, you named two of the lenses we had on our list, the Sigma 30mm and the Sony 50mm - based on price points versus the Sony 85 and Sony 35, we'll stick with the ones we were looking at for now but might get the others in the future. Very curious about the Sigma 16mm lens though, might have to look into that when we're a little further down our path. Well done, sir!
Yes just followed up on you. Bought the Sigma 30mm 1.4 today. My kit sony lenses were not behaving well. This Sigma is great. Tomorrow I go back to get the Sigma 26mm. Thanks very much for the review, Paul Scott
It is really helpful video for me. Just bought a6000. Only using kit lens for now. I have been researching prime lenses this video is really good run down. I am mainly shooting kids and landscapes. Thank you.
I'm really glad I stumbled across your channel. I recently decided to get the a6000 once I get the money, and that camera is basically what your whole channel is based around. It will primarily be for video, and based on your videos on it, I think it will be able to get me beyond that "home video" look into something more professional looking.
I like a decent zoom as my "walk around" lens for outdoors shots with my Sony A6000. I bought the Sony 18-135mm based on the Technology Mafia review, and I've been really impressed with the results I've seen from this lens so far. Based on the recommendations in this video and others I chose the Sigma 16mm f1.8 for wide angle shots; the Sony 35mm f1.8 for indoor portraits and video; and the Sony FE 85mm f1.8 for outdoor portraits and other medium telephoto uses. These four lenses should cover most every situation that could come up for the type of photography that I do.
I would not buy a lens without OSS for my A6000 but still a very good list. I own the 50mm F1.8 and like it a lot. Probably don't use it as much as I should. One of my favorites is the 18-105mm F4. I get great images from it and it is very versatile.
My lovely choice: Sigma 19mm, 30mm f1,4 for low light situation in street photo, 60mm the last week aded the new Sony 18-135mm for travel, a great lens, including a fantastic manuel focus system and a smooth manual zoom.
Sony SEL18-105 used to be my fav to go travel lens but it's not that sharp and I find myself barely using the zoom. I know travel with Sigma 30 1.4 and 16 1.4. Only using prime actually pushes me to think about composition and not be lazy! I used to have the 50mm 1.8 for my portraits but i've seen that even just using the sigma 30 1.4 does the job as it's so so sharp. Good video man, keep it up
I agree with you. I subscribed to your channel a few months ago and I always follow all your lens reviews. It helped me to finally get myself a a6500. So far I have purchased 3 lenses, and 2 of them are in your list; the sigma 16mm and sony 35mm. The third one is a Samyang/Rokinon that I got on sale for less than $200, the 85mm F1.4 manual focus. I am using this gear for both of my youtube channels, and even though I am starting and learning, I couldn't be more satisfied. Keep the great work!
Great video Arthur! I took some of your advice into consideration, but ended up buying the Sigma 16mm 1.4 when the Sony 18-105 G Lens was not in stock at my local camera store. What a blessing! The Sigma is simply amazing and worth every penny! Pairs so well with the 30mm 1.4!
Currently doubting between the 18-105 and 16mm sigma. Used for videography, shooting events and weddings. Which one do you recommend? Like the versatility of the 18-105 range but f1.4 > f4 any day..
Thanks, been lurking through your channel for a while now and I'm deciding to buy a new lens. I own the 16-50 and 55-210mm kit lenses. I have a manual focus Minolta F1.7 and I realized that I need more light and sharpness. Thus, the Sigma 30 and the Sony 35 came into play. But thanks to your comparison videos and this Top 5 list, I know that I will get the Sony 35mm for my A6000. Wish I had the A6500 but I had a killer-deal for the whole set of my camera which was a fraction of the price for a A6500 without any lenses. Keep up the nice work.
Ah brilliant video! Bought the 35mm 1.8, love it! Any chance you could do a video on long exposure during the day, in particular, which nd lens is right for the 35mm. I really trust your judgement!
I've got a Sony 18-105, Samyang 12mm and the Sigma 30 1.4 . Since I got the Sigma, I'm using nothing else but that. I've shot multiple events only on that lens. Would buy again 10/10. For wideangle I often find myself needing a bit more ore less, so I'd definitely settle with a zoom here next time. Even though the 18-105 is super practical, I only use it if I really need the range, and if I do, 105 (crop 150~) is often not enough. Also the F4 doesn't satisfy one anymore after you got an F1.4 to play around with haha
I have a rokinon 12mm f/2 for landscapes/astro-photography and it can take some jaw dropping photos ...I pretty much leave the focus on infinity and it's the lens most often found on my a6000...At one point I thought about going strictly with rokinon manual lenses because they are stunningly sharp for the price even being manual focus.....I am looking into the sigma 16mm f/1.4 but not sure if it will be wide enough for me yet to replace the 12mm. I have the sony 50mm f/1.8 and use it for street-portraits and general use but have been debating getting an 85mm for portraits instead (my only concern is indoor shots with a 85mm) and then getting a 30 or 35mm and selling the 50mm... eventually I am getting the a6500 when the price is more affordable
Hi TechnologyMafia! I was waiting for this video ever since you made the bachelor video between the sony 35mm and the sigma 16mm :p Thank you, it's a great help for sony users! I have a sony a6300 and bought a sony 18-105mm f4 to have some versatility. I wanted to buy a second lens and at first, I was doubting between the sony 35mm and the sony 50mm. But when I saw your video of the 16mm I was starting to get interested and watched some other videos. Now, I've decided that I want the sigma 16mm as my second lens, thanks to you! I find your videos super useful and informative!
I'm a bit frugal and got the 35mm... I haven't found a reason to REALLY get any other lens. It's definitely a do-it-all lens. Now that I'm starting to save up on money, I want to get on lens on both spectrum; a wide and a narrow lens. But my go-to-lens in the end will probably be a 35mm.
I use the Sony fe 28mm f/2.0. It is small and sharp and gives a nice 42.5 mm fov for street photography. I use it on the a6500. I also use the Sony fe 55mm 1.8 for portrait photos. I want the Sigma 16mm 1.4 for wide angle and low light work. Those are my three. Also for walk around and stealthy photos I like the pancake Sony 20mm 2.8.
Traveling requires a light package, a great advantage for the Sony A6X, the 35mm f/1.8 is fantastic; the other two for the trifecta are 10-18mm f/4 and Zeiss 16-70mm f/4.
I have 3 of your lens, the Sony 35 F1.8, 50 f1.8 and 85 F1.8. I seldom use the 35 F1.8 and 50 f1.8. I found them too tight and the color quite muted. One of my all time favorite is the Zeiss 24f1.8. It is sharp, has a great color pop and can do close focus. 24mm which is a FF equivalent of 35mm is the perfect focal length for me. A close second is the Rokinon 12 mm. Its color rendering is very close to the Zeiss. My friends can easily pick out the pictures that I took with these 2 lenses. I might try out the new Sigma lens (16 and 30 F1.4). I had the old sigma (19, 30 and 60 f2.8) and was not impressed with the color. They are sharp lens but poor color. I can do post processing but just too time consuming.
Love this video and your content! Thanks for doing this great work. I will say your wife should totally be a model. The camera loves her and she looks like a natural.
Great overview! Just wanted to say that I found the 16mm f1.4 harder to use in practice than expected. I thought F1.4 would make me able to have perfect subject and background separation. However, I was surprised to learn that this requires a very small distance to your subject, which is not flattering when shooting people. I found the lens perfect for evening / night street photography in NY. For landscapes I used it in Iceland a lot, but there where some times where I wished to have a wider lens (at Stokksness for example). Keep up the good work!
@@panchow4582 although ‘better’ is subjective, the Sony 35mm F1.8 is still-after all those years-my default go-to lens when I want a compact and casual setup for photography and video that I can always bring along in a bag and makes an incredible difference compared to my phone. When I want to be a bit more flexible with the focal length I use the Sony 16-55 F2.8 G, but that always requires an extra camera bag.
My favourite is also the cheapest: Sigma 19mm f2.8. Small, light, sharp enough, great colours. I also own the Sony 35mm f1.8 (but I never liked it very much) and the Sony 85mm f1.8 that I use on my new a7III. I like my a6000 better than my a6500 too btw.
I prefer the SEL24F1.8ZA for travel - the 35 F1.8 I found was not wide enough on E- mount, not sharp enough in the centre by comparison & you missed the favourite Video zoom lens SEL18-105 F4 OSS. So the 24 and the SEL18-105F4 covers my use nearly 95% of the time. When travelling I prefer the greatest depth of field to capture the moment unlike professionals who like Ultra sharp Portraits and the interesting background is just a blur bokeh when shooting for ART style photos vs say a travel photographer shooting to capture as much of the moment in focus as possible. I feel none art bokeh camera / lens uses are not being talked about or even acknowledged by high brow professional photographers.
I think in the movies and shows and online we are used to seeing shallow depth of field and bokeh and when you can reproduce that with a small camera and prime lens, that is what makes it special. I remember for my Europe vacation I shot everything at F1.8 except landscapes. Its just a different style of shooting. 4-5 years ago I also thought having everything in focus was ideal, now I dont like those photos as much.
TechnologyMafia Thanks for your reply., Still it would be great to consider both styles applications. Hollywood vs other countries cinema industry also varies. Some times I am surprised what the Japanese eg.can capture in space and lighting conditions that a Hollywood producer would fail at. Yes for Portrait shots they can still do a sensational shallow depth of style. Both extreme end types should inspire us.
I am lucky having the no.1 and no.2 after watching you review couple month ago. Thank you for all of those videos that help me to decide what lenses I should buy.
I commented less these past few month but i keep enjoying your videos. Since i bought (after watching your videos) my A6000 last year i have two video projects to edit. My challenge is to produce a complete movie edit and finish it before looking up what new lens i could add to my setup to make better video and photo. Saving this for later though. Cheers from france ! Peace !
Short question: What do you recomendet on the first prime lens (universal, sharp and fast) to Sony a6000? :) 1. Sigma 16mm 1.4, 2. Sigma 30mm 1.4, 3. Sony SEL35F18? THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWER
The Sony 35mm is a great lens for everything. It's not a wide angle though. The A6300 upgrade is worth it if you get a good deal. I wouldnt spend over $700 on an A6300.
but I just watched one of your many great reviews! im giving the sigma 16 mm f.14 consideration; i have the kit lens and 16-105 PZ; i spent close to 1k on Sony NEX5N back in 2013...
Nicely done.. As per your reviews.. Yesterday I bought Sony 6300.. I am a frequent traveler.. (official and unofficial).. I like travel photography and videography.. Right now I have only kit lense.. 16-50mm.. As per your opinion which lenses are useful for me.. I like Portrait and street photography also.. Once again thank you for your awesome work.. Expecting more and more..
Great video my friend! I have a doubt and I don't know if anybody have asked it before... what about lenses for video in a 6500, will u choose the same ones? thankssss
A APSC zoom lens that hits 23,33,50mm at F1.8 and would be the holy grail. Even better if it has OSS and or hits 16mm too. 24,35,50,75mm (35mm equivalent) are the focal lengths that would cover 98% of the photos and videos I want to take. Infact 35,50 would probably cover 70-80% of what I want to take. F1.8 would be advantageous in low light and who wouldn't pass up smoother video or less shake in their photos.
Thank you for the informative video. I just ordered your #2 pick for my Sony A6000. I’m excited to use it. Do you have a cheat sheet for the correct settings for taking outside photography, portraits, close up etc? I’m still learning and want to know f-stop, iso and aperture you recommend to get good shots. I’m also hoping to use this while on vacation in Argentina.
Since I have the original Sony a7r and the Sony a6500 it sort of determines what lenses I have. I have the Sony 85 1.8 and the Sony FE 50 1.8 (I can use on either camera well). Then the 18-135mm which I love that I use on my a6500 and the Sigma 16mm 1.4. Will be getting the Sigma 30mm 1.4 soon. And then have a lot of vintage lenses that are fun to use. So right now, instead of investing in more lenses, I'm working on flashes and lighting
Thanks for guidance and many lens reviews. I'm a long term Nikon user with multiple bodies and lenses - more kit than I can comfortably carry to any one assignment/trip. After much research I'm now also a user and fan of the small form factor 6000 series by Sony, which I use when I want to travel lighter. I recently bought the A6500 but, like many, remain disappointed by the relative scarcity of 'great' native APS-C lenses supplied by Sony. They seem to be overly emphasising full frame lenses and ignoring the excellent form factor and pretty good quality that APS-C permits. One can use FE lenses but have to pay a premium for FF capability in terms of price, size and weight. Thank goodness for companies like Sigma who recognise the real market potential for quality glass in the APS-C format at a relatively 'affordable' price (certainly when compared to Zeiss or G Master FF). Following your reviews, which first first highlighted the excellent glass and subject to cross checking on DXO and other reviews, I'm pleased to say I have now bought your recommended trio of smallish, fast, sharp primes - Sigma 16mm and 30mm f1.4 and Sony 85mm f1.8. My 'back' thanks you in particular as I can travel and fit everything I need into a small Think Tank bag instead of a large Lowe backpack with multiple TT pouches. Way to go.....
So which one is responsible for your most loved work? sigma 30 or sony 35? I'm mostly shooting stills, but videography is definitely tempting me more and more.
I think you also need to make a video about top 5 3rd party manual lenses. Because there are so many options out there and I would like to hear your favorites ;)
Here are the lenses in order:
1. 1:54 - Sigma 16mm F1.4
2. 3:19 - Sony 35mm F1.8
3. 4:33 - Sigma 30mm F1.4
4. 6:24 - Sony 85mm F1.8
5. 7:20 - SEL50 F1.8
You are welcome. :)
not all heroes wear capes... Thank you!
It helped dude. Good idea for the Technology Mafia to adopt this content-idea and use it as default !
Please, put the Samyang 12 in your list...
🤙🏻
Sigma 30mm f1.4
Love that you put the Sigma first, but I would still recommend the Sony 35 as the #1 must-have lens for most people. The Sigma 16 is a beautiful lens, but it's big, has no OSS and the wide angle can be tricky. When I'm taking out my a5100, I almost always choose the 35.

What do you mean by “the wide angle can be tricky”?
Well, 16mm you get 24mm at the end ;) which is normal on full frame
Great advice! Thanks. What about video?
16 mm is the most versatile, even with general stuff. And sharpness is much better than 35. The OSS is only a big issue if you're focused on videography and you're not using a gimbal. this is the most unbiased lens review that I ever watch. Really appreciate your work!
Sony 50 f1.8 is my most used lens, it provides stunning results especially if you're shooting people shots. Head shots indoors or body shots outdoors.
I have the 50mm 1.8 and just bought the 85mm 1.8, and I have to agree, the 85 is awesome even though it's designed for full frame. The creaminess of the bokeh and the overall sharpness is just awesome for portraits.

Still in 2021 !
Still in 2022
Still in 2023!
Still in 2024!
I really appreciate how you do videos on the a6000. It's an oldie but it is still so good.
Been watching alot of videos to decide which lenses to get for my a6500...this is by far one of the best ones and most informative. thank you
Perfectly explain. All stellar choices of primes. Alot of people think that there is no lenses for Sony Aps-c e-mount but they're wrong. There is a lot of great lenses as you mention and a ton more.
Well, to be fair the selection of zoom lenses blows. I've heard good things about the 70-200's but those prices... O_o
Hi, I own a 6300 and love your channel, the first thing I realized is I can understand you everything!, English is not my main language and I have some problem here and there always listening any review/podcast/film/movie whatever, sometimes I even can’t get any, seriously, that’s something very important :)
the 35 f/1.8 is my favorite and I wish I'd bought it sooner.
Is it good for videos?
Another awesome video mate! I bought the Sigma F/1.4 16mm yesterday. Very relieved when it came up first in your list haha!
I did a video like this a few weeks ago now of my favorite 3 lenses. We have some similar taste in some of them! I also mentioned some other options for people if they weren't liking the ones that I gave them! Great video!

kinghuthegreat i agree with u currently im using a6300 and planning to buy this lens but this lens so expensive and i need to add stabilization too pls give me your opinion about it
A bit pricey though. New for $850 and used for around $650-$750. If money were no object, yes I will probably jump on it.
Great video! I have the Sigma 16mm and it’s the only lens I use for my videos. I will probably get the Sony 35 next. I was torn between that and the Sigma 30mm but Im leaning towards the Sony 35 based on size alone.
The 35mm is great, no complaints about that lens.
Same dilemma and leaning towards the Sony for the better auto focus and size.
Does the sigma 16mm have image stabilization? I have the a6000 and want to use this lense for video but I know the a6000 doesn't have image stabilization, plus I have no gimbal

I have just purchased the 50mm f1.8 OSS from your list and now started the waiting game for amazon to deliver.
Yes just followed up on you. Bought the Sigma 30mm 1.4 today. My kit sony lenses were not behaving well. This Sigma is great. Tomorrow I go back to get the Sigma 26mm. Thanks very much for the review, Paul Scott
Great video! I have several E lenses now and the ones I use most often are the Sigma 16mm, 35 1.8 and the Zeiss 16-70.
It is really helpful video for me. Just bought a6000. Only using kit lens for now. I have been researching prime lenses this video is really good run down. I am mainly shooting kids and landscapes. Thank you.
Ill second the 50mm f1.8 OSS Amazing value and performance
Would love to see one of these lists for full frame cameras!
Hi Arthur. Great video!
What about a list of your favourite zoom lens?
I would not buy a lens without OSS for my A6000 but still a very good list. I own the 50mm F1.8 and like it a lot. Probably don't use it as much as I should. One of my favorites is the 18-105mm F4. I get great images from it and it is very versatile.
My lovely choice: Sigma 19mm, 30mm f1,4 for low light situation in street photo, 60mm the last week aded the new Sony 18-135mm for travel, a great lens, including a fantastic manuel focus system and a smooth manual zoom.
wow i own 3 of your 5 top picks! guess i listened well over the years
Sony SEL18-105 used to be my fav to go travel lens but it's not that sharp and I find myself barely using the zoom. I know travel with Sigma 30 1.4 and 16 1.4. Only using prime actually pushes me to think about composition and not be lazy! I used to have the 50mm 1.8 for my portraits but i've seen that even just using the sigma 30 1.4 does the job as it's so so sharp. Good video man, keep it up
Nice job! Definitely going to make a video like this myself one day. Always appreciate you spreading the good word of the a6000! haha
Look forward watching in your channel.
Tyler Cybulski Awesome! I am glad to help! The 18-105 is great, still my favorite zoom lens:)
Currently doubting between the 18-105 and 16mm sigma. Used for videography, shooting events and weddings. Which one do you recommend? Like the versatility of the 18-105 range but f1.4 > f4 any day..
LT I can't speak for the 18-105, but the sigma is an unbelievable lens. I have the sigma 16 and 30mm lenses and they're a powerful duo
just want to get notified if he replies :D
Thanks for this video! I am now trying to decide between the top 2!
Great video. Had no.1 and no.2 for video. Couldnt agree more on the top 2
Just picked up a Sigma 16mm and also got a deal on a Sony 10-18 f4 and must say the 10-18 is impressive
Thanks,
been lurking through your channel for a while now and I'm deciding to buy a new lens.
Great choices! Thanks for another awesome a6000 lens review. I have the 85, 1.8 and it is so close to a 135 on the a6000.
I agree that the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 is incredible. #1
Hi great video.. I am just confused between sigma 30 and 16 which one should I buy
Which lense would be best to shoot a dog?
Agree with the sigma 16 mm. Razersharp and nice colors.
Nice job. My list of favorite lens for a6000 is : sigma 30f1.4, samyang 12mmf4, sony 24f1.8z
I’m still watching you in 2021, and i got Sony 35 f1.4. Thanks!
Thank you, Tech.
But how about the zoom lens? Which one you prefer? Sony 18-135, 18-105, or 18-200?
I like the list very helpful but should make a zoom version I can't wait for the sony a7000 or a6700
I don't think Sony would make a7000 yet because people will confused between a7000 and a7 series full frame camera.
The Sigma 16mm is the only lens I use on my a6500. I have three of the other lenses on your list that I use on my a6000.
Thank you for this, always looking for cheap good lenses for my a6000
I have 3 of your lens, the Sony 35 F1.8, 50 f1.8 and 85 F1.8.
I just showed her your comment! Thanks!
Keep up the good work!
agree!, sony 35 does a much better job, i also think its sharper then the sigma 16mm
Why didn't you like the Sony 35mm f1.8 ?
My TOP 3 ->
1. Sony 11/1.8
2. Sony 16-55/2.8 G
3. Voigtlander 65/2 Macro
This video will help me narrow the lens I want!!! Great work
I totally agree with your picks, especially the 85mm ;). The 50mm though is my favorite FL just because I mainly shoot portraits.
I have both the sigma 16mm and sigma 30mm, those two are the only solid ones I need for travel!!!
Thanks , What the best lens for food photograpy and still life ??
Great review! Sharp and clear explanations, you make all of that appear to be easy to do. But I know it's not. Congratulations.
Very helpful and was exactly what I was looking for in terms of input on what to get next after my Sony 50mm f1.8! Thank you!
Just what I was looking for! Keep the Sony a6000 videos coming
1. Sigma 16mm 1.4,
2. Sigma 30mm 1.4,
3. Sony SEL35F18?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWER
Thanks for the video.... Really love your channel have learnt so much.... can you suggest a lens for shooting indoor yoga videos on my a6000?
I always enjoy a video when it echoes my lens choices... Right now, I have the Sigma 30mm f/1.4, and the Sony 50mm f/1.8 and 85mm f/1.8...
Great video! What about SEL 18-135 OSS? This is the lens that's on my camera most of the time.
1 Sigma 30mm f1.4
2 sigma 16mm f1.4
3 sony 50mm f1.8
4 7artisans 12mm f2.8
5 55-210mm 5.6-6.3
always great reviews! i have the a6000, do you think it's worth upgrading to 6300? the lens Sony 35mm F1.8 also good for landscape?
Expecting more and more..
khaleel P K The Sony 35 f1.8 is the most versatile prime for you I think. It is still the lens I use 90% of the time.
Thank you so much for your immediate response.. What your opinion about the zoom lens in low budget for Sony 6300..?
I agree with Pitcha. The Sony 35mm was the first lens I bought, and it is still my most used lens.
Daniel. Thank you for your reply..
will there be a big difference between the kit lens 16-50 and sony 35mm? thanks so much! been watching your videos :) we appreciate everything!
What about stabilization? The kit lens has in-built stabilization, while the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC for instance, doesn't.
Very nice channel. I just got my a6500 with sony 35mm f1.8 and Sigma 16mm f1.4. both are awesome lens. Thanks for the recommendation and reviews.
How do you do? I'm the user of α6000, too. This time Video was very helpful. My target was decided in 85mm! Thank you very much.
Nice video... What about one with the top 5 lenses for the full frame A7 ;)
Since I have the original Sony a7r and the Sony a6500 it sort of determines what lenses I have.
I have sigma s16 f1.4 and sony e35 lens.I love both of them. But I also have the kit lens, because of the powerzoom is suitable for the video recording.
So which one is responsible for your most loved work? sigma 30 or sony 35? I'm mostly shooting stills, but videography is definitely tempting me more and more.
Which should I have as the first for travel? Since I can have only one for now, should be versatile as well.
Jean Bacan 30mm 1.4! It’s a very stable focal length and I’ve found it great for travel!!
Man u deserve a lot of more suscribers I learn a lot with your videos, great info value keep the good work
A6000 + Zhiyun Crane V2 + Sigma16mm f1.4 = my all-around gear ;)
I think you also need to make a video about top 5 3rd party manual lenses. Because there are so many options out there and I would like to hear your favorites ;)
Haha, I just bought the 35mm and I've never used the kit lens ever since!!
heloo how about the sharpnes and bokeh with 35mm sony?
could u recommend more lenses for a6000 that are for landscapes? THANK U totally loved this video!!!
Sigma 16mm and Rokinon 12mm. I'd still recommend the Sigma 16mm.
What about the Sony A6300? And do these last 3 lens do the same as you preferred? The 16-50mm lens. What do you say about that?
