I had problems breathing to the point I can't work. I was admitted to the hospital but the doctor couldn't do anything for me. Then my mom suggested I take Korean ginseng extract and Panax ginseng extract which helped me to breathe better...

so I take a few of natural vitamins. my dr was amazed that I even knew about them. many prescriptions have alot of side effects so, my body immune system is very strong & is like a natural antibiotic. Korean panax ginseng is the top ginseng to take. it doesn't just help with health issues it cures them. like diabetes. my step-dad had diabetes for 5 yrs. I told my mom to buy. after a mth he went to his f/u & tested no more diabetes. it also helps you lose weight, good for your overall health and many other things. I also take cinnamon which boost your immune system & prevents you from getting any strong viruses like ecoli & others. thanks be to God, me, hubby or kids haven't had covid since its bn here. cayenne, b complex along with your daily women/men vitamins is all you nd to live a healthy & normal life, but Jesus is the 1st thing! also for pain like neuro pain you should order ginger oil essential & rub on the that area & cbd natural tincture helps too. I hope this helps! God bless!

I have been taking a liquid tincture of Korean Ginseng for decades. I used to travel to Korea a couple times a year for Martial Arts training and I found it to be very effective in providing a clear & sharp mind, slight energy boost (particularly if you're already tired), and great for recovery.
If you are looking to find a supplement to improve over all health Panax Ginseng is a good choice but I would note that the Koreans only take it a couple of times a month, not everyday. It is supposed to bring "things" back into balance. Also, it is a strong blood thinner, if you are also taking, gingko, garlic or a prescription blood thinner ginseng may be too much.

Many people have a misunderstanding that herbal medicine can be eaten casually, especially some Chinese.
As a native Chinese, I remind you that Chinese medicine or any medicine including herbal medicine should not be eaten or used indiscriminately! ! !Must follow the doctor's advice。
For example, if you are young, obese or have high blood pressure, do not eat ginseng. . .

@@user-fp3pd9jl2x The active ingredients of Chinese herbal medicines are the same as other medicines, but the situation of herbal medicines is more complicated, because the composition of an herbal medicine is very complicated. In South China, due to misconceptions, the abuse of Chinese herbal medicine is very common, and its consequences are very serious. The incidence of kidney disease in Guangdong is the highest in China.
Ginsenosides accelerate blood circulation and metabolism, while inhibiting platelet production. For hypertensive patients, ginseng will increase the burden on the heart and blood vessels; for young people under 30, these people have strong metabolism and blood circulation, and eating ginseng may cause nosebleeds and traumatic bleeding. Only people who are very weak need to eat ginseng.

I have reasonably bad general and social anxiety mixed with depression, when you go to the doctor's all they prescribe Is unfortunately antidepressants...
My body doesn't like antidepressants and I didn't like being on them at all, even though the doctors say that they are pretty much side effect free now I found after trying 3 different AD all that happend to me was a feeling of numbness, lethargy, loss of libido and occasionally the inability to eat regular meals.
After a testesterone result came back all clear I decided to get myself off of the AD's and try and do my own research...
Now I'm taking L-caritane and ginseng daily and although it hasn't completely aliveated me of my physical symptoms I do feel much more capable, I've started to feel more alert and awake, it's taken the edge off the anxiety and my libido is more normal ... And apart from the odd day when I feel slightly worse again it's had zero side effects for me.
    Give it a go.

I was really impressed by the effect on cognition. Learning new songs at +50 years old was starting to get really difficult (the lyrics, etc ...). Having read about Ginseng I started taking it as recommended on the bottle of American Ginseng I found (a good brand). I did not expect to get results before 2 or 3 months but after 3 weeks taking it my concentration and memory was really better. Actually the guys in the band were really surprised.
This is anecdotal of course but it made a big impression on me. I would like to take ginseng more regularly but unfortunately after 3 or 4 week it also tends to raise my blood pressure.
It would be interesting if company would isolate the different components of ginseng and make a preparation that has the effect on cognition without the side effect on blood pressure. Maybe it would turn out to be the same components but possibly not. It would be interesting to try.

from the research I've done :
you say 200 to 400mg , that is also what I've seen to have positive results in young healthy individuals for cognitive benefits. a BIG however is that these studies were using a standardized extract (G115) which has 4% ginsenosides. that is one of the active components and the reason for taking it in the first place.
here's the thing tho .. lots of ginseng products don't seem to show ginsenoside % and the ones that do are normally very high (I've seen as high as 80%) in 400mg pills
one last problem, I can't find the ginsenoside mg for G115 to base our dosage off and 4% of 400mg does not necessarily mean 16mg of ginsenosides.
(think of a box that's half full of feathers and half full of gold, its 50 / 50 % but the gold would weigh far more)
conclusion for dosing level for cognition: if you go on % go for 4% at 400mg or equivalent eg 8% at 200mg , snapping each pill in half might work depending on the % ginsenosides and pill mg

Hey Zach, I've been taking Korean Red ginseng as a nootropic, and love it! Its my favorite adaptogen, and I've tried them all. I take a 2g fermented extract (Bon ginseng), so it's probably really strong. The dry herb I noticed no difference. I have ADD and it really works for focus, energy, motivation.
But after watching your video, learning about DHT/5 alpha-reductase has me REALLY concerned and paranoid. My total testosterone is 420, free is 81. BMI 25.5 (little fat-trying to loose 20 pounds)
