Unrelated to the video but are you going to discuss the horrible network issues this games been having the past few days? It works just fine during mid day here in the western hemisphere but as soon as it starts getting late it's constant disconnect to the point the game's unplayable.

Your actually bad with kendo, she’s literally meant for support, she shields enemies attacks, you can save your Allies or send them to third party enemies, plus your meant to stay back not rush people head on, idk why the game put her as a thing as an assault type but it’s a beta who knows it might change when the actual game releases
Hi globku been a fan for a while now and really like that you show some builds as that will help out newer players(especially once more characters release) the only think i would like to recommend would be to also include recommended temporary skill cards as that might be interesting. I useally use speed + dmg/cooldown with most characters since wall running is great for escaping in most areas
I won my first match with Kendo and thought she felt very good.
With this ONE WEIRD trick: you're a shield, let them come and break their blades upon you, then counterattack.
I also noticed people were kinda ignoring me to go for teammates which was free backshots. She straight up counters some characters but some kinda just counter her it's very interesting. Also yeah the clap is legit terrible glad i'm not the only one.
When your rank isn't high, you mostly play with bots in the game

She's a defensive tank not a rush character that needs movement she's true to what she can do in the show just like other characters
But the problem with her is the gamma and special quirk. The gamma has a super small hit box and the special quirk is downright almost useless in a fight
Ok so I haven't played Ultra Rumble myself, and my only experience with the game is your videos, but I think you're playing Kendo wrong. You seem to be playing her like a rush-down/aggressive character, but she might be suited to a more tank role, kinda like Reinhardt in Overwatch. Your role isn't to kill or deal damage, you protect and support your team by taking the damage yourself.
Teaming up with a ranged character seems like the best thing to do, as you protect them while they deal damage. Your shield allows your teammate to get fire away without needing to worry about avoiding danger, allowing them to take out enemy ranged characters. While your other abilities allow you to stop aggressive enemies by keeping them away. The rocks threaten people away by their high-burst damage that they can avoid by staying away, but that allows your teammate to blast them. The clap forces enemies away by physically pushing them away, again allowing your teammate to blast them.
However, this is more of a perfect world situation. I think you need a good teammate who knows what they're doing in order to pull this off. So Kendo probably sucks ass in solo queue. Also the issues with the shield and clap may also prevent this.
She needs to kill her protection aka Barrier has so many hard countries it makes it a hard pass. Plus at times it can be inconsistent. Ida has been my person all demon as well as Dabi but Adi is supposed to bounce off my Wall and I punish but at times for NO REASON his kick hits ME and not my Barrier and I die or take needless damage.
For a long time I thought Ida's skill was unblockable turns out the Barrier is I consistent. That needs to be fixed
The issue being two ranged characters battering the shield to break it quickly win the duel against Kendo plus another ranged character because it’s nowhere near dense enough to account for the fact that she literally stops contributing anything of value the moment it shatters, even moreso when you add flankers, aoe damage, and low risk poking from the likes of Bakugo/Deku/Todoromi to the mix. It’s clear they intended for her to be Reinhardt with that ability, but forgot to follow through on the “compensate for lack of range” things he does. No expanded defensive capabilities, no gap closers, no big hitboxes up close, no long range burst damage to at least temporarily discourage enemy attackers, and zero ability to meaningfully debuff or otherwise impact enemies in a way that enables your team.
She’s a quarter of what makes Reinhardt a functional tank with garbage tier assault skills and a unique that SEPARATES THE TEAM IN A BATTLE ROYALE WHERE IIDA MOBILITY AND BAKUGO AP SHOT EXIST slapped on.
No it’s the fact you can’t rush with her
If you damage a bakugo aizawa todo deku endever toga all might tenya froppy a twice and many more you can’t chase, and if your team was running away and are getting chased you can’t save them, that’s the problem with her
Yea the hitbox on her gamma quirk needs to be tweaked a bit, the amount of times I've used the ability just for the enemies to somehow walk out of it unphased is insane
naah you wrong for this one ... its more so playstyle .. have to play her how shes designed to be played
I feel like if they rework her its preety simple what you do, make her beta quirk just the free quirk, and make her beta a grab or stun quirk to get more synergy
But you could maybe also buff her by changing properties
She's bad because you rush with her. Let them come to you, I guarantee you'll do a lot better. I once clutched a 1v3 at the end of the game with her
Yeah for real, I can't support Glob on this she either doesn't fit his personal standards or he's just capping hard I saw many other people say she's good
Maybe glob just bad at her I mean he has a right to a personal opinion but I think she’s broken mostly because ppl sleep on her
@@trickysmiddy2573 I will not deny that, at the end of the day he's just a human, he can't know everything, but I feel like he should be open to other opinions which he doesn't seem to be when it specifically has to do with stuff he dislikes, and also since he's a TH-camr some people will take what he says as gospel. Maybe I'm thinking too hard on this though

@@Eatingcocks He usually doesn't do anything and just continues on, but eh, even when I disagree with him, I still sit down to listen to what he has to say, I don't do that with other TH-camrs
I immediately thought she was the weakest in the game, but that doesnt mean shes bad. But i agree with the inconsistency. She has a kit thats super clutch in hard situations, but everyones experience with her will be different.
Definitely in need of help, but has a place
I won my last game with only having a Kendo teammate the entire match, since my Toga teammate left after dying early. The Kendo player was constantly getting kills and she didn't die once. She pretty much carried me to victory XD
i feel like if the big slap move stunned enemies instead of sending them way, it would make her moveset synergyze more, she could try picking off characters in teams fights, and if not that, itd lead to the shotgun spread she has.
Her Gamma needs better Tracking and Her Alpha should be a actual boulder when she ranks it up

i like those kind of video you make, when i started the game i played with iida and damn i was doing good (then i try other character but i don't really know how to play them : if i should focus on supporting the team or be the dps)
id love to see something like in pokemon unite where, at certain levels, you get to have more customization. I´d love to see it to diversify the build possibility! something like idas 2nd quirck where you would get to either change to a direkt dash with only one charge instead or keep going with a powered up version of the base quirck.
Can you do a video for all the characters like todotoki and shigaraki because I don't understand those characters and it would help😁 I know there not new characters but think about it

I see the potential on Kendo, I just feel like they need to polish a couple of things to make her the perfect tank, and yeah, I could see them adding some type of mobility ability where she uses her hands to impulse herself or something
You really need to retry this character. Upgrade her Y first at least to lv4 so she gets two of them first. You should combo into her Y (which is hard), but do two normal attack 'pause' then do two normal attack again then use her Y. Stay on the opponent with the shield to block whatever they do then repeat.
She lacks getting in, but once youre on an opponent. She's okay, but it takes work. Only things i want changed is that her B should stagger opponents even without shields, instead she takes damage??? ive tested this in practice. Also her special suck, no use at all. Would be great if you could throw down allies or do Y while carrying them to throw without taking damage

My problem with her was the range of her alpha ability since i like to play her with range character as the shield really compliments them but when the shields gone i start to feel mostly useless...

Tendou is a counter Cha you Need to punish the enemy globku
as a kendo/mr compress main. She is really good you just have to learn her mechanics and get used to her big fist carry. Every char in this game is good if you know how to use them properly.
5:22 I personally disagree with this build. And as a Kendo main I'd recommend to do the opposite of this.
Start by leveling up your gamma move (Big fist grip) atleast to level 4 so you can get 2 charges. The reason why is because her gamma ability has some mobility because if you jump while using it, you can get on top of a building. Her gamma ability is definitely her strongest ability out of any of them, the only issue is the hitbox is bad. But it'a a 7/10 chance for you to hit an enemy so it's worth it.
Next I'd level up your Alpha ability (Stone throwing fist) Just because it's a good with damage at a higher level and it can make up for you missing with her gamma ability
Lastly, I'd level up her shield last. Even though I use her shield in battle it's not something you should prioritize leveling up because all you're shield is for is to lure your enemy in so they can attack you and once they do you use your gamma ability once they do the stunned animation. And her shields health is decent for level 1 if you are battling someone 1v1 then her shield at 400 HP will be fine.

Big Slap isn't an issue, it doesn't knock them that far, just move forward a bit and start rock throwing when they're down, simple. Also i think you can have shield up and rock throw at the same time, a Kendo player was doing that to me.
What we get in the beta will we have it in the game when it comes out?

You’re exactly right about her. At the moment there’s only one character she can reliably fight and that’s Iida. As a defensive character, the fact that she has no answers to the majority of the cast just sitting back and spamming ranged attacks till her shield breaks and she can’t even run away because said ranged attacks interrupt the sprint in this game, she just doesn’t have any value. And if you really want a defensive character to stop approaches and shield enemy projectiles, Dabi is there without being completely unable to do anything the moment the enemy is ten feet away lol. The mobility to disengage and use hit-and-run tactics to stall the enemy is legitimately more valuable for keeping a teammate alive(on top of the fact that more mobile characters like Iida, Deku, and Tsuyu all have revive abilities) than just holding up a shield to tank a couple of shots, get it broken, and then contribute literally nothing against smart opponents who either spam from a distance or coordinate their rush around your downtime.
Hell, even melee with enough range like Tsuyu’s abilities, Deku whip spam, spaced Mt Lady stomp, and Ochaco’s maxed out spin don’t get flinched by shield. You know who consistently stops those things? Dabi. She brings no value outside of her niche and isn’t even the best at it. And giving mobility by separating the team, making everyone in it more susceptible to third parties and flanks? Like you won’t get sniped to hell by Deku/Toga/ Bakugo and gap closed on immediately by Tsuyu/Iida/Ochaco? Especially when Compress does the exact same thing but stealthier, further, and not leaving himself a sitting duck?
Classic “we don’t play our game enough to realize how bad this concept is” moment from Bamco.
In the current state of the game, mobility is the best defense, offense is the second best defense, and defense is the worst defense. She needs a rework, lest they rework the entire game to buff her niche.

I’ve been winning straight up 1v2 and barely taking any damage you just gotta use her like a counter character
What if you added marshmallows or strawberry's on top of the the nutella layer to add a little variety of flavour. Just an idea
"Builds" are non existent in a game like this......just lv up as you go since the game is super generous with the lv up items.
Her kit is still one of the worst for sure but cant expect much from a hero who can just grow her hands size
I feel kendo is in a really good spot. She like Gib in apex where he was mostly a tank that protected his teammates. If played well with good teammates around she unstoppable and can turtle. Out of all the new hero’s I feel Kamanari is the worst one. He just doesn’t seem to have a role, he isn’t a long range hero like bakago or todoroki, he isn’t a rush down like shigaraki. He just seems to be there half the time using his electric barrier to tick down the enemy and half the time your getting broken out that ability. Idk that’s just my opinion of him
Solid review. You misread the clap severely tho. The optimal range is just outside her giant fingertips. It's a lot like a hulk Thundclap which is why when u smoosh them it actually pushes them into position. Other than that yeah, she's a team oriented toon. I've seen others mention it here and I'm not partial to her at all but the way u played her was too aggressive. As kendo my primary focus is my teammates and rarely do I target an enemy for dps. However the best thing I've found to do when I want to deal some damage with her is to throw a teammate that can pin an enemy down. Like the electric guy, stuns the enemy and when they come out of stun they'll either run or attack. By the time the stun drops u should be close enough to hit them with the shotty or even clap them. Throwing a teammate further than the enemy can cause ur tm8 to push them towards u, which essentially pushes the enemy towards u with shield out and ur 2nd tm8. She allows for one of the most unique but alltoghter brilliant pincer maneuver I've ever seen. Anywhere, video game, board game, frigging freeze tag. Throwing your tm8 when played correct is really just broken.

Tbh her shield makes no since her hand doesn't make shields its just a hand that helps increase her damage and grabbing abilities

Her attack needs longer range
She just needs a better get off me tool. The shield is fire if I can grab and throw while shielding, OR if it works as a one way so whoever I’m holding can shoot through the shield but only if I’m holding them. Once whoever I’m holding cracks someone you can then throw them.
Kendo has never been a problem for me in the game i always destroy her
@Globku so some thing I’m not fan of is when you leave up a new ability and you die in game it gose back to zero I feel like it you level up a characters ability it should stay leveled after the match is over because then it’s like what’s the point of leveling them up if they don’t stayed leveled up in the next match I think that is something I feel like would do better over time as that’s what dragon ball breakers did.
I thought I was the only one having trouble with the hit box of the third quirk. I also think she’s isn’t meant to be an aggressive character, could be wrong tho
As a top 100 player for me the worst character is absolutely denki he has 0 ranged abilities and his close ones gets easily interrupted he sucks at both

Also her primarely ability is like a shotgun. But your just standing there and pressing it, making you an easy target. instead of jumping left and right and using it in the air which makes you almost unhittable and you block the oppontents view at the same time

4:46 omg this happens to me constantly with Shoto beta Ice Sheild/Ice Shard. Once I rank it up to level 8 it turns into the Shard and I swear it NEVER hits anything even though the enemies is directly on it. I hope they fix the hit box’s.

Now, i can't say i tried this yame nor have i watched it to say I'm versed in it, but intuitively speaking, you don't really to chase after enemies? As in, you and your teammates can play on the shield and not initiate engagements while playing for endgame zone, it's not exactly an engaging way to play, it should work if you're aiming to get a high placement in a battle royale
What makes characters strong is often how mobile they are, and how much they can choose to engage or disengage in a fight. If your only option is sitting still, when half the characters in the game can bypass your shield, it sounds like a bad plan
@@Globku if the characters can bypass the shield then yeah that's a weak gameplan, but generally speaking, if you can enable your team to turtle up in exchange for being a mobile team then i think she can be a distinct archetype (that's something we can look forward to in a future buff i guess)

No love for Lida hIS SUPER SPEED is great at recovering teammates but he brings his legs to a gunfight I have never seen him cook either.
So you think a character with a shield that lowkey gets bypassed by almost every thing in the game with another inconsistent move is the best character in the game, but a character with 20 bullets in their mag, having the chance to be any character they have the option to choose as and Ida being one of the hardest characters to hit in the game next to tsuyu are worse 😂
@@roxas327 actally Tsuyu probably the best character starting until mid game. I seen multple matchs where she carres herself and maybe revives in final circle

I would prefer her gama have a bigger AOE as you level up like the shield. It would fix some of the phase through I believe. And I don’t even play her just something I noticed trying her out
Her shotgun has the range of a Gears of War Gnasher with the damage of a white Tediore shotgun from BL2 that's 10 levels below, 80% of the cast can ignore the shield they do not have to approach and even the ones that she is supposed to counter can just ignore it, the number of times I had a Iida pinwheel kick past the shield cause foe some damn reason his 1st one has super armor so most of the time the shield proc doesn't stop him while getting damage on you, Toga can just slash dash past you, Urarakas car shreds you until like the 4th hit where the shield remembers to stop her, Kaminari's stun gun ignores it cause you still get stunned. And the clap is a insult to the very term hitbox. She relies on your opponent to do the equivalent of looking at a wall and deciding to run face first into it.

I’m not gone lie this game is so bad frfr. It’s nothing but a jumping simulator, everybody circle jerks each other and wen they start to get beat on the run away and none of the characters can run fast enough to catch up. And don’t get me started on all might players
