@@BlackMageLozi No evidence for that statement, Pacman 99 is being shut down because of licensing and Mario 35 was shut down because Nintendo didn't realize how dumb that decision was and have too much pride to bring it back. Tetris 99 is still working just fine and if Splatoon 1 still has active servers, then I don't see why the arguably best 99 game so far can't last a few years.

I played with a ton of JP players (A+) and they were rubber banding like a motha f*cka 😂. Still better net code than MK8.

probably because it's the first game with ACTUAL servers. Obviously this won't fix all the issues but you can see what dedicated servers can do for a game.
Splatoon 2. Obviously not 3, but there was nothing wrong with the online in 2.
This made me realize why F-Zero is so loved. The movement and power system is great. We need a new F-Zero game.
the risk/reward system of "go faster but lose health" is so simple but so genius in creating a really intense game
it helps a lot too that unlike pretty much every other racing game even ones with hp bars you actually can't revive, once you're dead you instantly lose so it makes it that much more risky to keep pushing your boosts
This video brought back the endless hours growing up playing N64 F-Zero X. Fun huge jumps, connecting boost to boost and trying to knock people out all together is so satisfying!

There’s so much work put into this game I’m kinda shocked they didn’t just make a new game. It’s only the SNES game in it’s style and music. The actual game is a 3D recreation of the SNES game as far as I can tell, not to mention the added mechanics.
snes artstyle is probably most recognizable, and it definitely would run the best out of all the previous ones. if they went further, i feel like they wouldve released it as a separate game and not an nso subscription one

Nintendo Software Technology developed this, they do good work when they aren’t shackled to Mario vs Donkey Kong (or in this case, even while they are lol)
It’s possible they do what they did with Tetris 99 and have tons of extra themes and graphics
I like how Coney goes back and forth from being a gamer in denial because whenever he gets addicted to a new game, he has to shit on it the entire time and aftermath because he's so ashamed
The idea seemed funny at first, but F-Zero 99 goes hard! I started played it last weekend and really enjoyed it.

If you KO a gray bumper, you just get a max power increase (although it does increase your current power accordingly). If you KO a player, you also get your power fully restored. You get nothing if you blow up a red bumper.

This stream was so funny there was a point where he was addicted to boosting, would flame out on the first race of a mini/grand prix cause of the boosting and then become the joker when lucky bumper came up

To clarify boost mechanics: your first KO in a race expands your bar, increasing your max power but doesn’t fill your bar. Every KO after that fills your bar.
But KOs are only against other players, not the gray or red mobs/ghosts that appear.
Actually, any KO increases your boost meter. However, KOing other players fully refills it, but KOing Gray Bumpers only fills the increased amount. Red Bumpers should be avoided at all costs.

I think that it is useful to measure how interested the public is for a new f-zero and also a good way to make the franchise known with the current switch owners (battle royale is a very popular genre to be streamed so it is free publicity)

you make sharp turns by letting go of gas, its so simple. you can also lean left or right with shoulder buttons and let go of gas for ultra sharp turns

Yeah this game is awesome. I can only imagine how good a mixture of this and F-Zero GX would be. This is probably just a test by Nintendo though and they may never come out with another big F-Zero game since they already make Mario Kart and F-Zero GX sold poorly even though it was a great game.

I haven't got to play this yet because school has been eating all my time... but seeing this again feels like I'll be reuniting with an old friend, which I first met in 1990. I played the original an *obscene* amount of time and still love it to this day.
That said, in watching your stream I can tell you are very new to the series and will just say one thing... there was FAR too much lack of Sliding (L, R) into your turns. Start utilizing that a lot more and your performance should improve DRASTICALLY.
