@@valentinewiggin9152 It's because K series didn't animated except Shiro is there.... So other MCs are underrated consider Shiro didn't close to any MCs except Kuroh (he even only close to Neko and Gold King). Other MCs: Fushimi, Anna, Mikoto, Reishi ... They are connected each other in different way. Hisui also an interesting antagonist King.
@@diannatalia7444 I don't know... I mostly see edits (and even fanart) for Mikoto and the Red Clan, I consider them very popular (I really love them, and edited for them too) - I thought mostly that it is because they are really understandable. They are the emotions, their bond is like a family, so people just feel more connected to HOMRA... while SCEPTER 4 is an organization, and Munakata is not really their friend, but truly their king and their leader, who doesn't really make decisions based on emotions. So understanding him is quite complex, which doesn't really good, if you want to make a character popular.
@@valentinewiggin9152 Homra actually a good clan, before Fushimi left, while he is the clean up bad newbies there. The anime made them like gangster because 2 of important person gone and they also emotion type except Kusanagi and Fushimi. Munakata and Fushimi were my absolute favourites too. Btw is K series over once and for all or are their any new projects after season 1, Missing kings movie & season 2?
Love your video! I love Muna and honestly, I disagree with your opinion, at least partly. I agree he is manipulative and seems to be cruel sometimes but it is definitely shown he does feel guilt after killing Mikoto. Also, I see him as someone who helped the most characters in this show. He definitely tried to stop Mikoto's death in every way he could, until there was no choice anymore. He gave Fushimi a place and according to the manga said Scepter 4 is like having children of his own. he saved eric from the stone crushs while mid-war with the red clan. He saved Kuro from Mikoto countering his aura with his own and offered him Scepter 4 as a safe place in season 2 when Shiro is gone. He went out of his way to help Anna when the greens got her and welcomed her when she became the new king. Overall I truly believe he has a good heart and it conflicts with his ideals sometimes as the blue king. As he said himself his job is to slay Mikoto but personally, as Munakata Reisi he wants to help him. Sorry, It came out long! and probably with grammar mistakes but I felt like sharing.
First of all, thank you very much for watching the video (and commenting), and I am happy you enjoyed it! :) I don't think I ever said he didn't feel guilt (or maybe I was just misunderstandable). I absolutely agree, that it was one of his biggest trauma in his life, partly because he lost a person he deeply cared about, and partly because he lost control of himself (it is still true, he made almost no mistakes so far, he always managed to find the scenario with the least losses - not saving Mikoto is his first, big failure). However the Blue Clan as a family is just off for me - simply because Reishi DOES do a lot of things that are not okay if he sees them as particularly close. I am sure that he does have deep connections and friendships with those he works together closely (he is obviously kind of a positive father figure to Fushimi, who has a terribly abusive dad, but that is also a bit complicated), but he won't hesitate to give them orders where they can die. They are expected to die for him, if needed (it was very well shown in SIDE: BLUE) and if the death of one of his man can be used to manipulate the other, he will take the chance. His feelings can be there, but they will never overwrite his mind. Their cause is more important, and therefore it will take priority. It was intentional that I didn't really mention the second season, because as much as I adore the first one and Seven Stories, I really, really don't like the second (I am fine with Missing Kings, tho it is not one of my favourite parts of the universe). There were just so many continuity problems, lore contradictions, character changes (I absolutely loved Kurou in the first season, found him terribly written in the second) problems with symbolism which was purely flawless in the first season that I never really got into it :-/ So yes, my understanding of Munakata is more based on the first season and the Seven Stories sidelines - I didn't take the second season into account.
Wow, amazing video and very good editing! After reading your thoughts on Munakata I finally realized why I never got to like him among other kings, even though I see the most sense in his ideals (order, harmony, peacekeeping and such). Thx for this masterpiece! :)
So happy to find this! Barely see any in youtube. I really agree with the your description about Reishi. While blue means order, it doesn't mean it's always good side from humanity side I guess. That's why Reishi doesn't mean to use underhand mean with Saruhiko too. Perhaps the reason he is his favourite is also because Saruhiko is different than the restart of the clan members. He admire him at some point but doesn't put Reishi in pedestal (like suuuuper respect thingy). It's sometimes like defeating smth badwith another smtg bad for greater good in his case (Saruhiko literally said his quote is like a villain🤣). I like but also dislike him at the same time
I agree. I definitely think, that Reishi did like Saruhiko this much, because while Awashima was balance and support beside him, Saruhiko understood him, and his darker side much better - followed him, trusted him, but still knew that he was human, and he had a price to pay. And as I wrote, Reishi is one of my all-time favourites from K-project, but I know he has problems at the same time :D

I agree, he is really underrated... he is such a complex and interesting character, and there are barely any AMVs focusing on him...
Indeed

Munakata is underrated king, he's my favorite character among the others 😊 and fushimi is my second favorite
Agreed :D I plan on making a Fushimi centric video too, in the near future (I already chose the song).
