Yes it brings back memories! I remember the 84a route as a very young boy, taking it from Hampden Square in Southgate to Wood Green with my Mum. The bus was renamed 184 sometime in the 90s I believe. How time flies!
The M's, V's and really everything in this is amazing, all gone but never forgotten! Used to travel from the other side of London to see this stuff. Fantastic work

Enfield as well as buses long changed as well as attitudes ....good to see old Lancaster road as it was when i was 20 which was a few days before this was shot , now living in Belfast ...
I used to get the MCW 231 home from the Hop Poles (Lancaster Rd/Baker St junction) till I left Chase in 1986, or, I used to get the (Sometimes Volvo) Wally 8 from Baker Street to Edmonton Green, then a 144a to where I used to get off (bottom of The Cambridge Rd).
Chace .... hanging round the hop poles with the chase girls ...that hasn't changed even now .... oh and you leaving in 86 , we may have crossed paths cause i left in 1988 after i stayed on so i think i was year below you ....small world chum :)
Remember once on was working Work . Partner I was driving down Finchley Road. Going toward Swiss Cottage . No vehicles in the Road Just me my Work Partner . Route 13 Coming toward us I was to my Work Partner Going Flash at the bus Driver my partner was like flash at him. Bus Driver Flash back with his Bright LED Light gave each other Thumbs up. That's was pretty Awesome. 🖒💯
You old LT trained drivers know how to move a bus, the fun I had riding around those days. Nowadays too careful! Tatty looking buses from London Northern! Carried on into Metroline
It was also called Huckelberrys, was there the same time McDonalds was further up the high street. Mum & I liked Huckleberrys better, as they did seriously thick milk shakes, which tasted much nicer and their French fries were a lot nicer too, was really sad when it closed down, was the best rival to McDonalds ever. they sold basically the same things just a whole lot nicer.
