That’s a good one Terry. Very cool idea on the bandwidth control. Makes the amp really flexible for different guitarists. I just finished up an amp using your same PP 6AQ5 power section but added two 12AX7’s (using both triads each) to make it a heavy metal gain monster. Turned out amazing. Thanks as always for the inspiration and ideas.

Hello. Great Amplifier as ever. Gratulation ! The unused Bananaplugs gave me a good idea. Why not taken the 6.3 Volts from the filament (and after ) thru the bridge diode to DC with a Kondensator .Stabilised by a 7809 it can make the Voltage supply for the Pedalboard. A few milliamps are often used only. And I hade to have this external Powersupplies for my pedalboard. they are expensive and not relieable.
Hey Terry, I was getting worried about you man... hope all is well.... what a cool little amp !!!! Also, a really nice neat and clean build..... Well done brother...
Nice to have a meter and a sensivity pot but artist guitar player will definitely forget to readjust while playing. Is it thinkable to put a zener diode on the meter circuit just to protect the meter from overload ?
One could add two ordinary 1n4001 diodes, reverse from each other and both in parallel with the meter. It won't prevent the meter from pegging, but it will clamp the voltage at a point where it will not harm the meter. Actually, I would do a little math and find the fixed resistor value that would put meter full scale at 100% volume, only drawback being that quiet playing would read lower.
Just subbed. Tryin to help a brother out! Great video(s). Have watched many of yours over the years, and when you mentioned 2022, I realized I had never subscribed. Cheers
I noticed that the fuse was in line with the white (neutral) wire, while the black hot wire went to the switch. I would have thought it would be safer to put the hot wire straight through the fuse first, then through the switch to the transformer primary. Is there some reason it was done the other way?
Watching the meter, when it was cranked into crunchy territory, it looked like it wasn't moving nearly as much. Am I mistaken or is it showing the compression time before the note falls off?
Hey Terry, Went through the comment section to see if their were any specifics concerning the power transformer. From the video andcomments it sounds like a 250 volt custom made transformer. I'm looking at the blue jr replacement - hammond 290XX with 260Volts @170mA as a possible commercial fit. Is that close to your power transformer specs?

Great build so you were able to reuse some of the parts great . How would I get any information on building one of these for myself do you have a email address or website thanks again

Yes, the chassis is nice to build on. No Noise
"Not So Random Noise Generator" Great project. Perfect enclosure.
WOW ! Very creative. That aluminum chassis, so clean. Love the tone control labeling on the front. It don't get any easier than that! Nicely done.
That bandwidth control is an ingenious idea!

I’m amazed how you did this and the amp sounds beautiful 🤩
Thanks for another great video, sir. This might be my favorite build so far!!
Once played thru a Heathkit A-9c. It was brilliant...unlike I have ever heard and would love to find one.
A Terry not so random noise generator. Great layout and design. Boy does it sound good too!🍷
Another cool project. I really like how the front layout looks.
Yes, the unit really was screaming convert me!
That sounded really good. And it has cool features. I'm thinking a rock star would love to buy that from you.
The vu meter is the icing on the cake!
Terry the neutral line feed is going thru the fuse,on the schematic the fuse is on the hot line.
I love your videos, Terry!
