    Thanks for sanding the floor. I know it's one of my family's concerns when buying new flooring. Will it stand up to my family randomly sanding the floor?

      These are extreme tests, please do not try this at home 😉

    Just began my search to install vinyl plank floor in the kitchen. Thanks for adding info about the locking system. Issues I see are should I install a 12 mil or a 20 mil? I found a great color by Shaw
    Luxury Vinyl Endura Plus called Silver Dollar 12 mil. However, you are saying Mohawk is better than Shaw. Well it seems i must continue the hunt.

    Thank you for thoroughly testing this product. Is it consider a good product per your opinion ?

      Thanks for the feedback! I believe so, every product has its limits, but most importantly, this held up for 2 weeks submerged in water (not shown in video). Can't go wrong here for the cost. Best of luck!

      @@midwestflooringco So after the two weeks in water did it start to flare up?

    • @midwestflooringco
      @midwestflooringco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ed_word_6198 not at all actually. Keep in mind this is a Vinyl product. Mohawk makes laminate products as well that would swell in water rather quickly, but since Luxury Vinyl is synthetic (think similar to PVC pipe) it was completely unaffected by water.

    How difficult is the Mohawk installation?

      Thanks for reaching out! All free floating floors are relatively simple installations for anyone doing a DIY. The details around setting planks parallel to the structure of your home throughout multiple spaces, undercutting door jambs, fireplaces and eliminating useless transitions are the most difficult without experience. Be sure to always read manufacturer recommendations!

    The last time I dragged my kitchen floor over a parking lot it didn’t recover.

    Yes, but you didn't tested it with KIDS! Let's see how it stands up then. 😄

    I’ve installed thousands of square feet of flooring. This product by far is the worst lvp I have seen. I will not touch this stuff. The joints are brittle and crack from even light taps with a rubber mallet to lock the mechanism together. The joints do not properly lock and one side of the joint remains about 1 mil higher than the other side which means the product will quickly fail. I am a professional and I do this for a living do not use this product if you want to stay in business. Use the other more reputable flooring brands like floor and decor or smartcore. Mohawk product will fail, the company will not warranty their product and you as the installer will be held accountable by the home owner for Mohawk’s defective products.
