Nah. As some one who loves big booters those are to gnarly for SX. Late in the moto’s you’d see some gnarly crashes or someone getting landed on because the slightest mess up and you have to roll it. And I’d say almost all the riders wanted it changed. They just need to fix the landing some and they would be good tho.
I get it fellas, not wanting any riders hurt. Especially as technical and competitive as the sport already is. But you have to admit at 12:30 when all the 250 boys are watching the big bikes, like amateur's watching pro's for the first time it brings some extra excitement for race. tomorrow's race.

They should have made the landing different to give more room for error and it probably wouldn’t have been changed.

The first time this ever happened its going to be banging im having bets for standing on the poduim Jett,Criag,Thrasher and a Wild Card Marchbanks. 450s Tomac, Sexton, Anderson, and Maybe Webb. It's going to be badass and also a mudder so my picks won't even add up. Its going to be a badass round for sure

I think you said 110' but I'm pretty sure it was 125' which is freaking insane! I couldn't imagine trying to hit that with ruts and stuff. Someone would be hurt seriously.

Going to be an interesting show in that triple section.If alot of those 250 guys were having issues with it, what are they going to do 3/4 into the race when they get tired?
@@Jeremy-bc2sz They should have kept it, and if the riders couldnt make the jump safely, they shouldnt. I want to see challenges for these riders, not them riding on tracks they 100% and are comfortable with.
@@daniellarsson3699 knocking the landing back 15-20’ isn’t going to make the track any less challenging, but it will make it safer and keep riders from potentially getting seriously injured or worse. There’s a difference between a jump being out of a rider’s comfort zone and a jump that is pushing the limits of the riders and machines to the point of being unnecessarily dangerous, even when jumped _as intended_ by track designers. Sure, you could say riders shouldn’t full send the jump if they’re not comfortable with it, and many won’t, especially on 250s. But when the only chance you have of a decent finish is hitting the jump because not doing so is significantly slower than the top guys hitting it every lap, of course you’re gonna do it anyways. Also you have to factor in what happens when someone inevitably cross ruts or spins the back wheel going off the face of a jump that big… along with things like, what danger do people not hitting it and rolling it pose to those that do hit it, and how is it going to change when the track is deteriorating as the race day goes on. At the end of the day, rider safety is far more important than the cheap thrill of watching guys taking huge risks to hang it all out hitting a jump that is super gigantic and difficult just for the sake of being super gigantic and difficult.

Speed isn't the problem. its the slow tricky stuff that gets you(deep whoops, and tight rhythms on a tight track). When you go faster you tend to slide rather than stick! Remember , its not the speed that hurts, its the sudden stop!! LOL This track is big and fast like an outdoor track, much more room for riders. That being said, the rain is supposed to hit in the morning just as qualifying starts at 9am. Red clay turns to slick red sticky mud, it's probably going to be hard to go fast in those conditions! YIKES! 🤕

I am losing interest in Supercross because too many people get injured by poor track design. West coast whoops are horrible! Winning a title should not be about the last person standing. Easier tracks make for better racing. Tomac won by 2 races, why even watch anymore? 250s it is!
why change track? race or go home don't start destroying supercross like F1 or moto gp..i am tetraplegic because of motocross but i will be happy if you give me chance to jump like this and ride on this track and i am amateur

1988 Daytona Supercross had a massive tabletop & jump after it that only ten or so 125 Pros did. bigger than that tripple.

Jeff is actually right, its not the momentum that hurts, its the stopping of said momentum. Physics 101 more or less when it comes to crashes :P

A 250 is a mid sized bike. Not to say it's not quick but they do make dirt bikes up to 700cc. 🙂
