Proud is Haram!! I learned it long ago by a non-muslim. He tought me "proud is Haram in Islam" I was ashamed on that day that a non muslim teaching me my religion. So I never use or write this word for me again I removed from Facebook "a proud muslim" to "a stranger".
Ch Asim Sattar You understood it wrong and the non Muslim that taught you was wrong. Being proud of something you’ve accomplished is fine as long as the intentions are correct. Don’t be so quick to legislate what is haram or what is halal. Having pride or arrogance is haraam, but being proud to be a Muslim or being proud that you’ve accomplished something good then it’s fine as long as you’re not looking down upon others and think that you’re better than them.

The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلم said "O Mu'adh! By Allah I love you, so I advise you to never forget to recite after every prayer.. اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner."
On that night Rasulullah S: also asked some of the bread and meat to sent to Fatima Ra:'s door because it was been soo long that she ate those kind of food! It is also the part of that night story. It makes me so sad that a daughter of the best human lived in grievous condition. WE MUST NOT WASTE ANY FOOD.
The thing is you should not only listen to this ...The main focus should be how Allah blessed them when they went to Masjid.. In life if we ever had a situation like this (not only hunger) we should remember Allah in first place..In Sha Allah ALLAH will bless us. Aameen
i was in starvation when i listen to prophet pbh i got a courage to go outside when i extended a help from muslim brother he didnt listen to me a poor nepali guy i encounter and he gave me a money to buy kapus which i feed with water the moral of story is Alhamdullah inspired by prophet muhammed pbh
