I actually try to use cleaner products and I get so excited when u do clean beauty and u have actually introduced me to so so many different clean beauty brands that I didn't even know about 🤩🤩
I can totally relate with your experience with "clean" beauty. It can be so confusing with all the greenwashing and the term clean beauty being used as a marketing tactic sometimes, it can get overwhelming for sure. I agree that learning about ingredients and deciding what you feel comfortable with using is important. Great video Alexa! You always create the prettiest looks! ☺️
Thanks for sharing! I think it's important to be able to discern between greenwashing and a brand that is genuinely making efforts to use better ingredients :)
There is a lot of backlash towards clean beauty now but I think it's all about being aware like you said. I made the switch after reading about how many pounds of lipstick the average woman consumes in her life. Then pregnancy also made me think about what is introduced through the skin. Anyways, we've become more educated consumers for it & brands have had to offer more quality as a result. Thanks for the video & showing us new products!
I totally found you years ago. You were reviewing Undone Beauty. I've always loved your esthetic. I was super happy when you started reviewing all kinds of beauty❤️
This makeup look turned out absolutely stunning! I agree about your sentiments. I'm open to try conventional beauty as long as they don't have any ingredients I don't want in my products. But it's very cool to see so many actual FUN, cool and actually good products in the ''clean'' beauty realm! I'm turning on notifications, cause you haven't been popping up in my feed and I realized how much I missed watching your vids :-)
yes about the kosas smell!! that the reason i could not keep the foundation, its crazy to me that you are the only person who's mentioned it! the concealer or the foundation, both of them have a smell that just does not go away for me whenever i used them. also, im new here.... you have kids?! 🥹
I'm excited for you to venture back towards clean beauty again because I've strayed away after 7years last January because I am SO BORED with clean beauty makeup. My favorite thing is eyeshadow palettes and there just isn't much and much good on the market yet for clean beauty eyeshadow palettes. Man it really did take a long time took for a good clean mascaras to come out. 😅 I love both of Ilia's but I think the original is my favorite because of the brush on it. I want to try the tower28 next.
Truly enjoy the rms foundation! Def a hit for me! I used to be strict on what clean beauty meant to me in terms of ingredients but now it’s a matter of learning and discovering what works for you and what your skin likes. And that’s definitely not a one size fits all for the clean beauty space. Clean beauty should be inclusive and respectful for everyone’s preferences! It’s both funny and ignorant when people get defensive or attack others or brands when certain standards that doesn’t align with theirs when it’s impossible to meet. Just do the best you can do and work towards a greater good I say!
I started watching your videos several years ago because of my desire to use cleaner, healthier products. I agree that everyone should do make their own choices and not feel guilty for using conventional products. I personally want use cleaner beauty products but cast no shade when conventional products are sought used or after. They do tend to perform better. I'm a "clean beauty" junkie but still have some conventional favorites for those occasions I need the longwearing performance and coverage. Blessings to you this holiday season!
Hi Alexa! Wow, the foundation looks INCREDIBLE on you 😍 The Tower 28 mascara is definitely on my want list, I've heard so many people rave about it and it looks amazing on you! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving 🧡
I tossed my Revealer Concealer b/c I overtightened the cap and cracked it. I got paraniod that it was going bad, since it wasn't being sealed properly, so I tossed it. But recently I smelled my Air Brow and it has a funky smell... I'm wondering if I should just toss it :(
I treat the mainstream makeup like an occasional cake or cola - occasional. Also, except for 100% Pure, Purobio, Illia and Athr - clean matte shadows usually have a lot of fallout...
My thing is I am not going to pay top dollar for cheap fillers like polyisobutene or dimethicone that clogs my pores. I want ingredients that will improve my lips or skin over time (skincare) and provide an effortless look (makeup wise). It all begins with a flawless base and if that doesn't look good, it's all a waste of time and money. I'm not going to damage my face all for the sake of 6hr wear time. Most times I'm bare faced. So skincare is a top priority for me. As of makeup, all the colors is what gets me and def a good lipgloss goes a long way.
FYI to anyone who is curious about learning more about skincare ingredient, check out Lab Beauty Muffin. She has a background is chemistry and makes great videos breaking down different types of ingredients in products!
I feel like the word “clean” is so triggering so that’s where the upset comes from but I do enjoy a lot of the “cleaner” makeup lines. Saie is amazing as is Kosas.
I actually still use Alima Pure very often still 🥹 I love there products, but also I’m scared to venture off to other clean beauty. This was super helpful to see!! Also- I experience the same with the Kosas concealer, I probably won’t repurchase it anymore it goes bad too quick!
I use mostly Clean Beauty makeup and Skincare but lately I’ve been branching out and trying everything that’s on the market. I don’t want to just stick to one kind of beauty I want to try it all because there is a place and time for it. And since it’s son confusing nowadays with every other brand calling themselves clean we have to do our own research and see what we are ok using or not. I am a fan of Fitglow Beauty 🫶🏼, I’ve been wanting to try that Tower 28 mascara it’s always sold out. And this lippie combo looks beautiful on you.
I agree! Everything is greenwashed and it has become a trend so much that you can't decipher what's real unless you really dive into the ingredients and sourcing. Thanks for watching girl!

Try Arnica Gel or Comfrey cream for your elbow. It really helps to heal bruises and sprains etc 😊
Thanks for the tip!

Love hearing someone else hype Ere Perez! Think Ulta has some of their products now. 😊

It truly is so good! Definitely try and get your hands on it when it comes back in stock :)
Gorgeous as always!! Happy thanksgiving to you and your family! 😊
Thank you!!
Love it!
I feel like as soon as I bought the Kosas foundation and concealer, it smelled like floral hair bleach. So dang strong.
What's the tattoo on your ring finger? Is it like an opening with an EYE 👁️ INSIDE??

I think that's great! Everything should be a balance and sometimes you just want a slice of pizza lol
@@lex_faceit Yes! :)
You have the prettiest lip shape 👄
Well thank you!

What is that black beauty sponge ?
It's from Honest Beauty :)
Both my Kosas concealer and foundation have that weird smell. Can confirm. Lol 😂😅
Same with my bronzer😕
@@p.b.-b.8792 yesssss! That too. It’s so weird.
So strange!
Never mind. Just found this update 😂
I appreciate "sustainable" more than "clean" these days.
I feel like the word “clean” is so triggering so that’s where the upset comes from but I do enjoy a lot of the “cleaner” makeup lines. Saie is amazing as is Kosas.
I agree! I always like to use the term "conscious" because it is more about being aware of ingredients rather than labeling something good or bad
